This album, "The Satanist," is one of the best metal albums that came out of the last decade and I think it's Behemoth's masterpiece. This song features lines from Aleister Crowley’s commentary on Liber Samekh, the ritual for the attainment of Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel. They couldn't have picked anything better to close the album with. 🖤

Fun reaction! Just wanted to correct you on something. Nergal is not from pop background, he's been around since early 90's. Fact is that he was on talent show "Voice of Poland" but in a jury (despite protests and petitions from fanatic catholics). He did that soon after given clear from cancer and being too weak to perform live. In fact singer he coached won that edition! Before that, he was already kind of mainstream celebrity due to dating big Polish pop star. He's kind of interesting phenomenon in Poland. On one side respected sales chart topping artist, extreme metal musician as part of mainstream popculture and vocal atheist in country where being non catholic is stigmatised. On the other hand he's constantly attacked, demonised and prosecuted by church and people associated with it.

If Paul actually knew the meaning and the origins of this song he probably cry as it's based off a legit summoning ritual, "some argue it's started as a ancient rite of exorcism", this ritual which is a extremely complex ritual to conduct, is said to summon The Holy Guardian Angel which allows you to talk to Angels and Demons, also grants you knowledge. The speech at the end comes directly from the ritual, which if you like to know more, the ritual is called Liber Samekh. The kid and the group is practicing another ritual, a ritual of cleansing and protection.
