- After wearing Cloves shoes for five months I let you know how they hold up. Cloves make shoes for health care workers and I work on the unit as a nurse, doing twelve hour shifts. We go over the pros and the cons. Being priced at $129, it's raises a lot of questions.

I have the clove shoes and was annoyed with the squeaking of my shoes that I stopped wearing them due to it. However, I did find a solution ! I bought the "Kiwi sure step non-skid pads" from target only $2.99 and put them on the bottom of my shoes and no more squeaking !:)
I’m definitely going to look this up!!! Thank you!!
Always great to see you David! Shoes are a hot topic in my nursing classroom. Practicality + Style + Longevity is critical! I will be sharing your reviews with my new students in September. Have a wonderful start to the week! Andrea 👟 ☀️
Thank you! You have a good weekend too friend 😊
Shoe videos are sooo helpful, signed phlebotomist in need of comfort shoes 🤣👏🏾🙏🏾
Which ones have you been looking into?
I have 3 pairs of Clove shoes and they’re amazing 👌🏼 these are the only shoes I wear during my 12 hour shifts.
I need a new pair!
I’m not a nurse…yet but I just ordered a pair since I’m a server and constantly work doubles since we’re short staffed I’m excited!
These will be great for the water resistant!
Not a nurse, but I do work in a bakery - been having issues with my feet stinging and aching even before the end of my regular 8hr shift, so I've been looking for a new pair of shoes to help alleviate the pain a little. Just ordered the blackout Clove shoes! Pretty excited - the reviews seem really good, so I'm hopeful it won't be money down the drain.
Ive also heard Hokas are amazing for those issues too!!
3 weeks ago you said you were feeling Snibbs more. And now it’s Clove. I just want to make sure it’s still clove for comfort? Also please review Vessi! ☺️
The more I wear Snibbs the more I prefer cloves lol
Hokas are the absolute best shoes for nursing!!
The Cloves are so air tight that they cause your feet to sweat.
Which hokas should I get? There are so many
I like the Bondi 7 bc of the added sole cushion. After nursing for >32yrs I have tried almost every shoe on the market, and Hokas are proven to be the best. No breaking in needed.
Thanks!!!
@@browneyedgirl5162 how do you keep hokas clean? Are they waterproof?
@the observant I wash my Hoka shoes in the washing machine and let them air dry out on the counter. The heat from the dryer is the real culprit in terms of destroying sneakers, rubber, leather and fabric. I also wipe them down with hospital Cavi bleach wipes (not very often though) with no fading or damage. Nursing shoes don’t have to be water proof, they just need to cover the entire foot.. no holes.
Awesome! I've been waiting for this update😊 alternating shoes is a great tip!
Yay!! Yes and alternating really makes a difference! Would you rock white shoes at work?
Love the shoe reviews!
Thanks for supporting 😊
It looks very comfortable!🙌🏾
That’s for your review!
I just bought my first pair of Cloves( aqua blue) and I’m excited for it to arrive.
Ugh I love that color!!! I wanted to get me a pair of those ones haha but i already own two pairs
Going to look into these! My hubby needs some new shoes for work too.
You should! Also check out my snibbs videos!! You may like those ones too
Found out about cloves here and ordering today. That need to give you a discount code!
That’s what I have told them, maybe some day 😭
My cloves only last five months and I’m always on feet on my shift 😢
They look great! I might have to invest in these
They did not sponsor the video of anything but... they really are nice looking shoes lol not gonna lie
My Two cents is.....BEWARE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES.
Something is not right with how this company is treating customers. I cannot speak to a person via phone. There is too much money being spent not to have a person help you when there is a problem.
There was a mistake I was sent the wrong shoe size. I was sent a men's shoe I am within the 30 day return exchange. I am trying to correct this and now I am being told the sale is finale so there is nothing they can do. I do not wear men's shoe size. This shoe is not useful to me. Because I bought the shoe on sale I offered to pay any up-charges on a different pair just so I am not out of a shoe and the money I already paid for them. I think this is fair as I did not make this mistake and they would get more money from me plus the men's shoes I cannot use are returned to them.
Only I’m being sent in circles with no resolve for a mistake I did not make? I’m being told to email support again. However, no one is calling me to resolve the issue. I emailed support and once again they sent me the same message, they cannot fix the issue stating the sale is final.
This is not how you treat customers.
love the shoe reviews
Thanks! They are the most fun to do also 🤣🤣
The shoes look comfortable
Do you have a preference between the Snibbs and Clove? I am in the RT program and have been researching what to get for clinicals and I couldn't decide between the two!
As of today, I prefer the snibbs, they are not as stiff as the snibbs
I was going to bite the bullet and spend $90 on a pair of Nursemates (I’ve been working as a vet tech with $20 shoes and I’m dyyyying). But now I see that clove offers to let you do 3 payments and I might just do that instead lol. Would you say it’s worth the price difference, or are nursemates just as good as Clove?
Honestly, I have only good things to say about NurseMates. I wore the Men's Align Falcon by NureMates, for two years (not the same pair) until I found Cloves. Cloves are definitely more stylish, but as for comfort... I think they are comparable. If you do choose to go with NurseMates use my code DavidxNM to save some money. Unfortunately I don't have a code with Cloves to share! Let me know which ones you go with!
David Robinson I went with Nurse Mates :) Basically, I told my husband, “So I have this discount code. I could buy one brand for $80 total tonight. OR I could do 3 payments of $43 for a different brand, and only have to pay $43 tonight.”
His reaction of “$130 total?!” was the push I needed to make my decision.
Moral of the story, if you’re ever indecisive on a big purchase, just mention it to your spouse to gauge their reaction and go off that 😂
Thanks for your input! I am so excited to try them out and finally have decent support, and maybe do a review on my own channel! Maybe someday I’ll even get a pair of cloves for a comparison. Your videos have definitely helped me!
Yes do a review for sure! I'm not gonna lie, 130$ is a hard pitch for anyone haha. Glad it was helpful :DDD
Hi! Have you tried Hoka shoes? I'm struggling with going with Hokas or Cloves. Especially since theyre around the same price
Which Hokas are you looking at?
I just ordered Hoka Bondi SR since they’re also fluid resistant, after contemplating for a long time about Clove vs. Hoka!
@@drmimilane how are they?
@@marissa4029 too clunky for me personally. I’m tall so I have bigger feet and they made me feel like a giant (probably added 1-2” to my height). I returned the Hokas and kept the Cloves! The Hokas were more comfortable than the Cloves but I added inserts to the Cloves to help with that!
I have flat and wide feet. Would this be good for my feet? Or is it a bit narrow? I bought the snibbs and for some reason my heel and arch hurts at the end of the shift. Was wondering if this is a better option.
Between the two I do like the cloves a lot better, especially in comfort.
I'm trying mine on but I hate the grippy sticky sound. Does this go away
It does after a little bit of time
I just got mine and noticed this. Has it gone away? Did you keep them? I'm debating.
I love my danskos, but they’re hideous 😂 are these comparable to support that a dansko would provide? Or just a bit more supportive than a basic sneaker?
I have not tried dansko or heard much about how they compare but they have more support than a basic sneaker for sure
No! These shoes are terrible. They made my feet hurt after one shift. Danskos all the way!
Can you make a video of Clove vs Snibbs? :)
That’s a good idea! Yes!
David Robinson awesome! I’ve been meaning to figure out which would would be better!
In the mean time I have made videos on both of them :)!
Do you think you would prefer snibbs or cloves?
Cloves
Do these scrach/ scuff easily? Like the toe of a Dansko?
Actually not at all.
Are Clove shoes relatively light weight shoes? I am debating between these and On Cloud. Have you tried On Cloud and if so which are better in your opinion?
What were the other brands
Do you recommend buying a size up?
No I don’t.
Would I have to get a size up since I got wide feet??
So, what would it be these or snibbs? I'm looking to buy a pair. The blackout ones. And is there a discount code for these?
I do like these very much, but no i do not have a discount code for them :(
I've been wanting to get these, they look so stylish but comfortable! How true to size are these and do you think they feel narrow at all? Also, had no idea they made them in black before 😍
Happy you found my review helpful! :D
Do you recommend the ankle socks from clove?
Yeah, the no show socks lead to cloves rubbing the wrong way
Cloves or Adidas ultraboost?
Defiantly cloves
Hello, Do you preferred Bala or Cloves?
Definitely cloves
Cloves vs Vessi? Pros and cons?
I like the cloves! I have made multiple videos on them! :D Hope it helps!
Which do you prefer, nike air zoom pulse or clove?
Cloves for sure
Can it be used for everyday use? Like walking outside?
Definitely, i even wore them to the gym when i first got a pair because i liked the way they looked so much haha
Hi! Do you have a current discount for the nurse mates shoes?
I am actually getting one very soon but as of right now, I don’t. You thinking of getting a pair?
@@DabidRobinson yes I am thank you
Your shifts are 12 hrs long but are you standing the entire time?
I do get a 15 minute lunch haha 😂😂
I work at the restaurant at cashier and hosted ? I walk a lot every day , do you recommend clover shoes ??
The support on these aren’t bad but you should check out Snibbs for even better support.
@@DabidRobinson I’ve seem that … now I’m wearing Brooks
@@skoovt hows brooks?
@@professionalmady I like the GTS22
It’s the pricing that bugging but you do get what you pay for right?
Yes definitely. These are my favorite for sure
@@DabidRobinson diffently gotta try them then cause I have vans and ugh they hurt my feet lol so cloves looking like tennis always plus
Do they crease easily? After 5 months, do they have that crease line at the toes?
Yes they do, my two pairs do have creases
Very
Are they breathable or does your feet get sweaty?
They are very breathable, the only shoes my feet get sweaty in are Bala
What nurse mates do you use??
Men’s NurseMates Align, prior to all these other companies I wore them for years
Thank you!
looking for slip resistant for my son, he has to have all black and slip resistant for work (not healthcare) would you recommend?
You should check out Snibbs
@@DabidRobinson you may not know this but just in case- do these help support the foot or are they just popular for ease 9f clean and being soft? Example, born shoes to me offer no support but are cushy. Thank you for your reply.
They support my feet, and I have purchased two pairs of these
@@DabidRobinson thank you
Did your cloves crease??
They creased a little but 0:39 is actually what they look like now and you can't really tell.
Mine have
What shoe is @ 2:14? Thanks.
At 2:14 those are the Snibbs and at 2:15 those are the Nursemates align
I'm a size 12.5 in men's nike shoes and I'm wondering what size I should order for Cloves. I've read they are true to size and nike's typically run small. Should I get the 12 or 13?
Yes Nike does run small but these are 100% true to size. I wear a 10.5 and they fit perfectly. If I went a size down it may be a little small so I guess 13 would be better
@@DabidRobinson Thanks for your reply! Do these stretch out at all after you break them in?
I just tried them on to make sure but even after breaking them in I wouldn’t say they have stretched out. And I have been wearing these for a while now
Cloves or snibbs????
I'm digging the Snibbs, i just ordered a new pair in the color black
DO NOT BUY CLOVE THEY STAINED MY FEET BLUE AND MY WIFES FEET
Sounds like a medical problem buddy lmao
@@ameerkasana7319 don't be a fucking wise ass
Are Clove shoes relatively light weight shoes? I am debating between these and On Cloud. Have you tried On Cloud and if so which are better in your opinion?
Yes they are very light but no I have not tried those ones. They are very comfortable tho
I have On Cloud. They hurt my feet for the first day or 2 I should’ve broke them before using them. But at day 3 I felt nothing. I’m definitely a heavy woman and have some back/knee pains and I didn’t feel any pain after day 3.
Clove shoes were amazing the first month or two but now they hurt my feet. I have high arches so that may contribute.
