I absolutely love my BALAs. I thought they were gimmicky at first, but I was actually gifted a pair and then they sponsored my school for a raffle and I was really impressed. They feel like HOKAs except they are water proof, and I love the travel case they come in.
This review prompted me to buy the Bala Twelves for my first nursing job and I was so dissappointed when they arrived. The shoes were very uncomfortable and lacked cushioning. I wore them for the first week of orientation and promised I'd never wear them again. I know everyone will have different experiences with these shoes... I've been wearing the Hoka Clifton 8s instead and they are everything!!
PLEASE DONT BUY FROM BALA!!! They stole designs from nurses, Ebi (who passed away in July this year from cancer) gave them valuable insights from real nurses, made content for them and yet no one was credited. One of Ebi’s last wishes was to not support Bala..
I am definitely intrigued by these. Thanks for the review! After hearing you mention the other shoes you've tried I feel compelled to share my favorite nursing shoe brand with you (as I didn't hear you mention them I'm assuming you haven't tried any of their product line). I swear I've tried almost every nursing shoe out there (excluding the "Bala's" above..that may soon change tho 🤗) and for one RN to another I gotta say my ABSOLUTE favorite nursing shoe brand is Algeria. They have several different styles and I tend to lean toward the clog style (with the back strap that you can or can choose not to use). They are the only brand of nursing shoe that no longer how long my shift is my feet DO NOT bother me EVER. Not to mention they can last almost forver considering you can purchase insert replacements. I love that about them. However, I recently bought their Traq Qarma (sneaker style) and am blown away. After hearing you say you have to use Dr. Scholl's inserts with most of your shoes I just had to mention these as they have the best support I've ever felt in a sneaker! You really gotta try them out!! If you already have tried them please disregard my rant (BTW I also have no affiliation with this brand I just truly love the shoes). They also have a pretty neat feature for tracking steps accurately. Again, thanks for this review. I am loving that shoelace buckle in the Bala ones! I may just have to give these a try too..
Not sure how you can review a shoe you didnt wear to work for 2 weeks. Lydia thank you for the comment! I actually have been switching between Hokas and Vessis. The Balas started bothering me after about 2 years.
I just make a video on these too! They are so clean! And honestly their marketing is genius.
Just subscribed to your channel :)
I totally agree, their marketing is genius!
❤️❤️❤️
Do you suggest bala shoes or cloves?
Does the box have sterilize lights?

I just ordered Some pink Cloves.

I love your new background and set up
thank you!
Did you get your usual exact shoe size or did you go up one size? What do you recommend?
I normally wear an 8. I originally tried the 8 but it was too big so then I got the 7.5 and it was perfect!
@@Katherine_Ann thanks for your reply! That helps

Bala-ing!

@@Katherine_Ann Best, reply, ever!
It doesn’t look water resistant for a shoe made by a nurse?
They may not look it but they are!
Nice kick's
Patiently waiting on the updated review ! 🙂 ...
It'll be a few weeks! I'm going to be comparing them against cloves!
Can’t wait for your review!

I disliked this video because it took a long time to get started and show the shoes properly. This is constructive criticism.
Thank you for your constructive criticism Imari
