    Hi Tomasz, A great review, and I am edging closer to having one but first I must build a fixed workbench at the back of my small workshop to accomodate the laser!

      Well I'm planning to make a full unit to accommodate my xTool and possibly one more 🤔

    I wish this had been available when I set up my laser. the cheap (not cost wise) one that I picked up broke the second I set something on top of it. now its held together with the handymans secret weapon.
    I'm guessing you don't really smell anything underneath the edges while its running if it kept the entire thing that clear of smoke and smell when you opened it up afterward.

      No you don't smell anything as it operates. Just keep it closed about 10 seconds after the job is finished. When you open it you will be able to smell it slightly as the residue builds up on the walls of the enclosure. Bit overall it's not bad at all.

    Can it cut 3mm ABS? Thinking about cutting holes in enclosures.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  4 месяца назад

      Abs will tend to melt and release some harmful fumes. Don't recommend it

      I have read some say it melts others say it’s fine. Was thinking the enclosure and exhaust takes care of the fumes?

      @@trevorwhite9138 it does you will be polutting someone outside 😅

      @@CasualDIY yeah I suppose a Heppa? Filter would be required. I haven’t found much about these diode lasers and abs. Maybe it’s the fumes that puts everyone off. I have 500 enclosure lids to cut and currently do on a cnc but laser would be faster I thinm

      @@trevorwhite9138 Don't have too much experience with that. Not sure if a CO2 would be better for this. You need to get more research done on this topic.
