    Got this machine a couple of days ago but already sent it back. Really poor quality manufacturing.
    The laser is not accurate. When you re-run the job, without touching the laser, it is a couple of mm out of alignment.
    Also, the laser head plate had an additional washer on the left wheel, which made it not square to the frame.
    I was hoping that this machine was an uograde to my 10w Xtool D1pro, but the quality of the Atomstack is not even close.
    The power of the laser was very good though..
    Maybe the A24 that i received was faulty, but i have lost confidence in the quality control that Atomstack seem to have..
    Lover your videos though! Keep it up.

    Tomasz, I'm beginning to think that you are going to be setting up a business selling lazer machinery, the amount of machines you have received from China over the past several months is almost a complete stock for some shop's!!!. Either a new business etc or your going to be needing to get rid of a dozen or so 😅😂. As alway's brother 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.

      Hehe I don't keep all of them lol they are for sponsored videos. Some go back, some go to other RUclipsrs and some are waiting for another video to be made. One I'm keeping is the xTool P2 for 100%

      @CasualDIY I don't blame you, I purchased the Gweike, which is more or less the same thing about three months before the xtool came out !. Just ordered a cnc from carbide 3d, I have zero experience with one so I'm a little concerned at the moment 🤪🤣😳

    Hi Thomasz. I've followed your advice on everything from my choice of table saw to the MDF feather boards so it's no surprise that I find myself checking out your review of the Atomstack A24 Pro. My woodcraft market days are going really well and I'm being asked to do commissions but the conversations come to a grinding halt when the topic of personalizing comes up. To this end, I'm looking to get a laser engraving machine. I really like what you have demonstrated with the A24. The question I have is about size. Most of my boards will fit within the engraving area but if I did have a slightly larger size, or say a large charcuterie board with a handle, could you raise the frame up by the board thickness, leaving the honeycomb at bench level and lower the module to the required 4 or 6mm? The answer may be obvious, but this is my first journey into laser engraving and I just want to be sure. I also use a lot of acrylic templates which I get from a guy who cuts them for me but I like the idea of being able to cut some of my own in either ply or acrylic so it won't be just for engraving, at least in the long run. Thanks for any help. Shane.

      @@shanecummins2556 For cutting clear acrylic you need a CO2 laser like the xTool P2 I have. This laser will be OK for thin coloured acrylic (may not be the best for template making). With all open frame diode laser you can put them on top of the work piece. Question is how low the module will go. I can't remember how low this one can be setup. However you can always "manufacure" a mounting plate that will allow the laser to be installed lower.

      @@CasualDIY Understood Thomasz. Thanks so much for the prompt reply. I'd be mainly using it for custom engraving and maybe giving my branding iron a rest for my own logo. lastly on engraving, if you wanted to engrave a logo on a laminated hardwood board, say 25mm strips of walnut and maple, do you think I would have difficulty getting a decent finish on different timbers or would it just be a case of experimenting?

    Thank you for this upload Thomasz. Very informative and well presented as usual. This looks like a good laser. Have you ever come across a laser that can run without connecting a laptop like the Longer Ray5 range? I am looking at upgrading mine to an enclosed laser like this Atomstack but must be able to run from an SD card.

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  7 месяцев назад

      Hmm usually you can use the WiFi to run them off an app on a phone or a tablet. I think I did review one laser that had this capability to run off an SD card but I can't remember which one. You would have to go through the videos I made on all of them
