It was finally time to try my hands at a wolf-themed concept!
So I didn't make a simple wolf, not a werewolf either... but a wolf in a sheep's clothing... with a twist XD
And by a twist I mean that it's a sheep in wolf's skin instead!
A cute girly lady in a scary-looking cloak.
I needed to push my sculpting skills a lot on this one, but I hope that you will like the final piece.
There's also one more thing that is special about her... but more about that in the video.

Oh my gosh this is one epic doll.
Kaya was actually watching the premiere and came storming out to tell the doll was for her.
She hasn't stopped smiling. She's already deep in love with it and the concept is great.
We are both really excited to see the doll and feel extremely special to receive such a unique piece of art.

You’re the only doll customizer that I find myself being both extremely excited to watch and then,selfishly, extremely sad because the video never seems to be long enough 😂 I could watch for hours! A wolf in sheeps clothing implies the person may act sweet, part of the group and nice but are deep down rotten and evil.
A sheep in wolves clothing implies the oppisite. They may look mean and dangerous but are just an inncoent little being underneath.
@@CatmeleonStudio normal sculpey (not super!) is too soft as-is. I personally like it in super sculpey medium, w/ mineral oil to soften it in places if needed. just a little bit does wonders

Actually the wolf head being a bit wider than on a life wolf is fully realistic, as the hoods are generally made only of the skin and poked in teeth and glass eyes, no bone, so the shape is squishy and adapts to the shape of the person who wears it.
The fur btw looks absolutely gorgeous!
The only thing that misses for me are the fingernails of the sheep girl because they are very hard to see.
But that's very small nitpicking.

And the fingernails are painted the color of the hooves. So yeah, not very visible on such a pale doll in such a tiny scale. But you can see them irl :)
She's amazing and I can't believe the amount of patience to create fur as good as this, you level up your skills with every doll! The wolf is great looking too, despite being descended from a crocodile and a hippo 🤪

I love her sweetness under the teeth. Crocodile to hippo to wolf, lol. My daughter is going to love this. Her 1st band was a metal band called Sheep as Wolves. They broke up after their 1st show, but they got to open for Doll Skin, and they are still friends. Everything happens for a reason. You are so freaking awesome for making that for the little girl, she's totally going to cry. I hope that you are all doing well, especially your kitty. Purrr ❤
A young sheep watched her father get slaughtered by a wolf. She vowed revenge… and she took it. Now, she wears his skin as a trophy, displaying it for everyone to see. But, what she doesn’t know, is that the wolf she had slain, was also a father.

The concept is so neat and the sculpting and colors really made me think of a boss from Darkest Dungeon for some reason, maybe the spooky aesthetic with a gorgeous lady!

I LOVE the cleft lip! I think it is an underused physical trait, and you made it an attractive trait where I think it is really stigmatized and seen negatively/as ugly a lot of the time, so making it as a beautiful feature I think makes this character unique, beautiful, and looks right for a sheep.

Maybe her story is that when she was a baby faun, she got separated from her herd, and eventually she roamed into the mountain woods. She'd search for her family for years, but with no luck. Until eventually she runs into a werewolf pack. The woods were the best home she'd found so far, so she was determined to stay. But to protect herself from the wolves, she must disguise herself as them. The hide she wears is from a dead wolf that she found in the woods before. It perturbed her to use the dead wolf's fur, but she had no choice. The werewolves accept her into their family and they grow to love her and she to love them, but they do not know that she is a sheep in wolves clothing... When will they discover her secret? And what will happen?

I _adore_ how her hooves came out, and your poor little ewe looks so timid, despite trying to hide a shy demeanor with a fierce cloak!
I've never personally had much luck with tiny detail brushes; maybe I've been using poor quality ones, but they just always go to crap on me. But shed cat's whiskers...now _those_ I can work with for fine detail!
I did laugh at the references to crocodile and hippopotamus phases. I personally find the apoxysculpt much more difficult to work with than the sculpey light, but I think that’s just from working with the polymer clays for many years.

Now imagine an epic duo of the wolf in sheep’s clothing with like gore (or not) or with a more scary asset showing and hinting that it’s okay for one side to do something but not the other, one is perceived to be cute and couldn’t hurt a flea and the other is looked at like a dangerous creature and show how things aren’t always as they seem. I dont know just an idea I thought would be cool

I always notice that you take pride in the cleanliness of your work and the smoothness. Your sculpts are so gorgeous and you take care to not get clay all over the rest of the doll. Your face ups are so beautiful! And you make sure to protect your work as well! Your videos are very well made and very calming to watch. I enjoy the music and your voice overs are not overly energetic and instead are calming and you actually teach us step by step the processes that go into the work you put into your dolls as well as great tips and advice. I'm sorry for my long winded comment. I just wanted to make it clear how much your videos impress me.

The texture of the sheepskin on her legs looks so beautiful! This fur looked expressive at the sculpting stage, but after dyeing ... it's a delight! ❤✨

She's creepy and gorgeous! I think I'll name Bala
(Inspired by Chirin ringing bell) (With Skylander adventures)
Story: Before Bala was born there was a Shepard's daughter named Gloria (she wears one gold cross earring on her left ear) guarding the flock of sheep in the barn since her older brother ran off doing gosh who knows while everyone was asleep, but then a few wolves stormed into the barn & killed one sheep and was about to kill Chirin and his mother Gloria pulled out her gun and shot one of the wolves while the rest ran away in fear.
The gun shot woke everyone in the village they were shocked to see the fence was breached that's when the culprit was none other than Gloria's older brother who let the wolves in and worsted
of all married the wolf chief's daughter, this broke Gloria's heart her own brother betrayed her and the family. He was banish from the village and was never seen again, days past Gloria managed to heal herself in her own time however she spotted a wolf mother being attacked by her own mate and spotted an injured wolf pup with side moon crest scar on his forehead.
Gloria shot the mate with a blind eye causing him to die his last breath, however the mother wolf died her last breath saying please kind soul look after my baby his name is Woe.
After she died Gloria buried the wolf mom under a hill top and pray for god to give the wolf a welcome in heaven. As another years past everyone in the village excepted Woe and was adopted by Chirin's mother Mari by giving him a blue bandanna, Chirin & Woe become good brothers as season's come and go Chirin was the size of a horse for Gloria to ride him.
Spring came & new little lambs were born, Bala now she can be quite mischievous at the time like pulling pranks but she can be quite stubborn, Bala wondered off out of the fence and found a wolf skin thought it would be funny to scare the little ones but that almost got herself killed, right when the villagers were about to take their shot Woe recognize her scent.
Chirin: Little one's come inside this instant all of you!
Gloria: BALA! That includes you!
Bala walks up to them & Gloria tor off the skin off of Bala's head
Gloria: I am very disappointed in you Bala, you scared the day light's out of us. You could've been killed! & What's worse you dare wear this wolf skin this very wolf that hurt poor Woe and killed his own mother when I saved him as a pup!
Bala: But I ... I didn't mean...
Chirin: NO BALA! Wolves are very dangerous creatures I should know sigh you are confide to your stall without dinner, that should give you plenty of time to think about what you have done.
Night hour came and Gloria was on night duty to guard the flock, she was going to burn the skin but she would have to do it later once her shift ended, but then the wolves returned
for revenge and sound the attack Bala had to help them even though she was told she was grounded but she had to make up for what she'd done. She took the wolf skin and then she suddenly
turned into a wolf this was the chance to save the flock, the pack retreated and the flock was saved all thanks to Gloria, Woe, Chirin, & Bala. Gloria decided to let Bala keep the skin as long
as she used it wisely, Bala was a trickster no more but a brave sheep warrior in wolf's skin.

The lvl of DETAIL you put in that Wolfs head was AMAZING and the sculpting fur and paint high lights was breath taking. The shading you did on the Sheep girl gave it crazy cool depth. i mean, check the ancient asian tiger paintings. do you see how ridiculous they look? it's because artists drew it from the tiger skins, so, don't worry about your wolf, the fact, that it turned out a bit too wide makes it only more realistic.

Thank you SO much for voicing that you don't sell your work or take commission. I am also an artist as well, and I do my art for myself ❤. The only time I give it away is when I gift my creations to someone as an act of love. Many people in my life have told me that I was wasting my gifts because I didn't monetize my art. I felt alone in wanting to keep my creations (at times guilty and ashamed). You are the first artist who was able to articulate exactly how I feel when I create. Thank you sooo much! Fantastic as usual. We get to see your improvement in sculpting with every creation. She is lovely. I think the wolf is great and reminds me of a painting I once saw of a dire wolf. Maybe her flock has been passing down the wolf cloak and head since prehistoric times. Her face reminds me of painting of a French ingenue from the French films. Maybe the innocent look is all an act but she is truly pulling it off. You should take a lot of pride at how well she turned out. Keep up the great work. Your creations are really unique. What fascinates me with your body shrinking is that the heads look more elongated, so to speak. Like, a narrower face, basically. But logically the shrinking wouldn't alter the proportions of the head alone, right? Only of the head vs the rest of the body. So I'm assuming it's more related to your face-up rather than simply the shrinking. But still, I really like the results.
A fun fact is that I'm not a fan of small eyes on dolls (or really, on any character), but somehow with the rest of your style, it fits really well.
Also, it's funny because when I saw your concept, I couldn't help but think of Chirin no Suzu. Though the actual product doesn't take such a dark turn in general. She's so pretty too!
Yes, the heads after slow shrinking stays the same as originals, just the scale changes. So I guess it's because I use a lot of contouring with pastels when I'm doing the face up (I am a former make up artist after all XD), while the original dolls don't have any blushing or contouring on their faces.
Quick guide for getting cats to hug you.
Step 1: feed them. It doesn’t matter if they come up to you for it as long as they see you doing it, they’ll appreciate it.
Step 2: be near them while they are eating. Don’t actually hug them yet just be relatively near, but not too close. Repeat this for several days.
Step 3: get closer. After they are comfortable with you being near them start progressively getting closer to them day after day.
Step 4: reach out your hand. My recommendation is to do this with some sort of cat treat. Not while you are holding the treat mind you, just sit still and make them come pretty close to you to get the treat. Repeat several times until they no longer seem hesitant.
Step 5: Actually, hold the treat. Do this with a flat, open palm and let them take the treat from you without moving repeat several times until the cats take the treat without hesitation.
Step 6: scratch. When they go for the treat, gently scratch their chin. They may run from you at this stage, but be patient, repeat previous steps if necessary.
Step 7: once they are comfortable with you scratching their chins (This shouldn’t be difficult cats generally like it when you do that) Try to slowly approach them when you aren’t feeding them, to not reach down at them from above, but instead reach up at them from below. (Lie on the floor if possible) continue rubbing and scratching them to figure out what they like.
Tips and tricks:
Generally, cats don’t like being picked up, but if you’re close with them and they trust you they’ll tolerate it, I recommend holding off on picking them up as much as possible.
It’s better to let a cat come to you, rather than you go to them. I.E., let them approach you, rather than approaching them yourself.
When petting a cat there are some places where most cats don’t like to be touched. Just keep them in mind. These are particularly, their paws, their tails, and their bellies.
Spend a lot of time in the same room as your cats, if possible, they’ll naturally become comfortable around you the more time you spend with them, just doing your own thing.
Our cats are with us 5 years now :P
If you would watch some of my other videos you would notice that I don't have problems with cuddling with them :)
They are just the weirdest cats ever XD Especially the darker girl. She always sleeps with us and screams for cuddles on the bed during the day, but whenever you'll even look at her while she is on the floor and you are standing - she is like a living cartoon "run! save your lives!!!" XD We are often joking about it that one look at her then and she fears that you want to steal her liver but few moments later she will sit on your head just to get your attention and cuddles XD She just really don't like being picked up :) She is never aggressive and never scratched us or bite, but she definitely don't like it. The lighter boy is way more calm and cuddly. He likes to sleep on my lap, while I am working or gaming on the computer and I can pick him up and he stands on my shoulder like a parrot, but he very rarely sleeps on the bed with us. I don't think they need a behavioral training. Every cat is just different, I guess :P We love our cats very much and I think they love us too :) They are often showing their affection, but they will chose the moment for it :D

I don't know about latex, but when I tried wearing nitrile gloves while using acetone, the acetone ate right through the gloves. It left a horrible, sticky mess on my skin. I just use bare hands now, and wash my hands well afterwards.
Sounds nasty! I used nitrile gloves with acetone once (my hands can't stand latex gloves, especially powdered ones). I think it was with my Bee Fairy. I had my nails freshly done then, so I didn't do that to protect my skin XD The gloves didn't dissolve, nothing happened. Maybe that's because I dip my gloved fingers not in pure acetone, but 90% acetone and water solution. But I remember thinking about it - "will the gloves melt on my fingers? That may not be smart thing to do.... lets check it out!" XD
