- Inspired by the dialogue compilations of Lumeuu and the Vermintalks series by Game Dialogue, here's how a playable Skaven character's dialogue would probably sound like.

The video also presents unused voice lines from Chaos Wastes and that from End Times, thought it would be fun to incorporate them into this theoretical scenario.
Suffice it to say, this double upload pushed me to my limits. Sorry to keep you all waiting for a whole month!

I'm a year late but by the Sun this is super impressive. With how you faked the gameplay using blender and was able to convince so many people of it. Bravo.
I just love this character you could’ve simply made him a cowering little shit who is just misunderstood and absolutely ruined any chance of an interesting dialogue but you made an actual “nice” Skaven he’s not doing this because he’s nice but because he has his own reasons he’s damn funny and his interactions with everyone shows just how much he doesn’t belong there well also showing why he doesn’t belong in the under empire either
Pusfume is smart enough to crawl out of Hell pit, he's smart enough to not piss off the Ubersreik 5. Glad you enjoyed!

The dialogue banter flows better than I would've expected and didn't seem out of place despite it being a Skaven character.
It's not hard to find appropriate voice lines when I have thousands to pick from
@@Janfon1 gonna assume you dug into A LOT of skaven chatter lines from both game and other sorces. as i find the speach pattern hard to get into
@@Janfon1 How you managed to get all this files? How you found actual strings? How you connected subtitle strings to actual audio files? I exported all sound files from Vermintide 1, but I couldn't find dialog strings anywhere... And there is no way to link them to audio files anyways... This makes me rly sad!
I think the best part of the voice acting was vs. the stormfiend it conveys his past, fear, and knowledge all in one go. These are creatures who would have been his worst nightmare in hellpit yet he knows their weakness it's the absolute best part.
I like the idea, but 3 of the 5 would be two Skaven ladders away from just shooting him. Kruber wouldn’t give a shit, sienna only slightly more so. But Saltzpyre’s whole life runs counter to Skaven kind. Bardin has lost kin to skaven, which is a death sentence for all Skaven. And Kerillian likes killing them.
I love the idea of him destroying a Skaven bell though. He would do it just because he hates grey seers

Janfon and I had that exact discussion, with an AU where they can't get to Skarrik, they'd need an inside man, er rat, for the job. Who's to say they don't immediately kill Pusfume afterwards?

I love all these details you put remembered for these scenarios; Skaven having great night vision, or the fact that the Bells have a psychic effect on all them because of crazy magic.

this is incredible. i've also thought about adding characters from the enemy roster for years now. a little pesky skaven mechanic who seeks to be unrestrained by his abusive masters is literally perfect.
i've thought about a somewhat similar concept for a Marauder character. some northerner who actually despises the chaos gods and sees their "blessings" as a curse upon his people. always thought it would be a cool dynamic with Salts, both of them despising chaos to the same degree and being in the same boat, but never actually trusting one another.
If only Malal was still canon would a Mala follower be a prefect fit for a chaos themed character
Being a slave to the Dark Gods kinda sucks, I'm sure plenty of Marauder warriors would happily turn on their masters if they could. The lore says they're still human, on the tabletop they're still subject to morale like any other mortal. It's just that it's really hard to leave cults, and even harder in a fantasy setting where the cult members have access to actual magic.
Skaven aren't exactly pleasant to be around, but they're intelligent, there's millions of them, and most of them are brutally oppressed by the castes above them.
Beastmen are often born to other beastmen & raised as part of a murderous horde of rampaging assholes. Any that refuse to be part of the horde are killed and eaten. Human parents will usually abandon or kill their mutated children, which gives beastmen a GREAT reason to hate & mistrust humans.
It's entirely possible for any of these guys to turn on their fellows! Even on moral grounds! It's less likely that they'd join up with the Five, since that would involve trusting the Empire... but stranger things have happened!
@@Ninjat126 The norscan relationship with the dark gods seems to me like “Depends on the person.” Type of thing. For example the Skaeling are naval raiders who are no strangers to integrating with Nordlanders. Nordland itself has been heavily influenced by Norsca, and is said to be made up of significant Norse. Wulfrik the Wanderer, although a slave of the Gods, absolutely hates the gods because of the curse they put on him.
It even goes as far as tribal affiliation. Varg is especially connected to Chaos. The Norscan tribes overwhelming worship Chaos but a reasonably sensical norscan is definitely not out of the realm of possibility.
Or rather a Chaos champion who seeks to prove his worth to the dark gods...by slaying other Chaos champions, the 5 stubble onto this odd Chaos warrior as he's fighting his fellows.
He also tries to understand why the 5 think Chaos is objectively evil while he sees it as a way of life. He would (with begrudging oblige) have theological debates with Saltzpyre about the various pros and cons of the gods, even pointing out Sigmar's shortcomings...imagine that, Saltzpyre would probably pop a gasket!
Also he would tell stories about his older sister who ascended to demonhood as a valkyrie-esque warrior of Khorne!

I do like the implication that he's really only there for his own gains. Like the grims and tomes
Imagine if Vermintide was moddable to this extent. Of course there'd be some drawbacks (Bikini armor) but still.

This is absolutely the best thing I've ever seen for Vermintide! Makes me want to literally pay for this, mod or not!
you know, even knowing how it was all made, it still looks too convincing, to the point that it could still pass as an official mod, specially with the light and movement effects.
Imagine finding this guy caged up out in the Chaos Wastes and getting an achievement and character unlock for freeing him.
I say that you do voice lines for when pusfume get attacked by a elites or specials
Like for example when he is being dragged around by the pack master or having his soul eaten by the fat guy

Watching this now, I'm reminded of a fanfic idea I had where the Ubersreik Five basically wound up with a Strigoi ally.
I kinda wanna know what his career skill would be? A warp stone infused bomb like a doom rocket?

I had an idea Pusfume could mess about with Traits, so he could e.g. Enchant a potion with 50% longer duration on top of the trait he already has equipped. He can also transform a bomb into a gas bomb (Globadier) or gas traps. Stuff that suits his tinkering with technology
a specific level 30 talent lets him add a trait to his weapon, e.g. Crit Chance *and* Opportunist etc.

Good lord, Janfon... you're my favorite animator, period. You put so much work and time into your content, and I honestly would love if Fatshark hired you as part of the animation team as well as the ideation team.
He would be AMAZING in the team and I can´t actually see why there couldn´t be skaven in party. Sure, I know they are main antagonists - but I´m absolutely sure they must have spy in the midst of skaven hierarchy. So it could be him.
This and Skaven cooperated with humans in literature as well, even if only for their own vile benefit - Skavenslayer is a good example, I recommend it

I'm not gonna pretend I'm some kind of spokesperson for the Vermintide 2 modders, but I think we can theoretically have Pusfume, but only in the coding department alone with zero visual flare
