  • It's time to mate the transmission back up to the rear end of the tractor, and finish the gears and seals in the front of the bell housing. Afterwards, I install new detent plates in the transmission covers to help tighten up the shifting.

And to instruct us, the viewers, on how the various parts interact and their function. It's one thing to do something. It's another to explain it well enough so that others see the logic and function of those assemblies being restored/repaired.

I’m going to work with my grandson when I do my Ford to end in the spring and I’m gonna be passing a lot of my knowledge I hope to him so not only is he going to get the tractor but he’ll get some of the knowledge I have and hope he help because hell, I’m 80 years old. Currently restoring a Model T Ford car that we plan to drive from New York to San Francisco via the Lincoln Highway this June commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 10,000,00th Model T that made the same Journey in June of 1924.

I like the idea of new gauges that look original, but there are lots of them out there that are cheap Chinese knock offs that don't always work well or for long.. That is where some tractor forums can be good help, by reading comments of people who have been down that road.
