@tangowally The 25 degree bank was due to PMDG's odd behaviour executing bank angle (which was set limited to 10 degrees or so). The chosen Standard Instrument Departure (SID) for this runway apparently dictates a turn that early. Ideally one would maintain runway heading for a bit longer yeah.
@hismellowness Thanks for the compliment. I used V/S intentionally to enforce reduced thrust. Call it my attempt at noise abatement. Would I have used Flight level change, then the plane would climb as steep as possible at the selected 210 knots, forcing higher thrust.
Just saw five minutes or so, but I'll be back for the whole nine yards. Compliments for the way you share the high quality movie. I'm on X-Plane but I sure envy you guys for the PMDG aircraft. I do have some thoughts about the take off. You use V/S and not FLC ?
@hismellowness Yep, the approach would have been perfect had I used localizer intercept and the approach button. You'll see all that and more in my upcoming video featuring a short UK domestic flight.
Your departure turn which started at 1200' ended up in a 25 degree bank at only 1500' and 210 mph. That makes me a little nervous. Wouldn't it be better to maintain RW hdg until higher and faster--or are there departure restrictions?
Noise abatement is a great reason for choosing V/S. True.

I have a Sidewinder joystick, had it for ages already.

And I also have some ideas about the descent. But then again, you already admitted it was a bit flawed.
