I have the double vinyl album as well... I only wish that I had kept the 'New Seekers Model Theatre Kit' which was included with the album. I also wish that I could have seen them in concert; but unfortunately I was only 11 years old when the album was released.
In so many of the 'live' videos here on RUclips The New Seekers (and many others) seem to be lip syncing (so as to sound like the original I suppose). In this video it is refreshing to KNOW that they are playing and singing live. Oh, and I never knew that Eve could play yet another instrument. :D
How I felt having being told "there are people who are SEXIER" after 32 years! Very upbeat song however! Get better soon Lynne. ( LOVE Marty on banjo! )
I can't locate a similar video. I don't remember which song it was, but Eve was singing while Lyn used Eve's kazoo to play a washboard with a drum/tambourine on top. Does this ring a bell?
Definitely one of the best Lyn Paul tracks. I'm just so sad that she picked Peter Doyle as her boyfriend and he beat her up to the point where the band made him leave.
Thanks for that Fanatic. I went to your channel but ran out of patience before I could find it. You did however correct my search terms. I found the lyrics elsewhere and I'll post them separately. Take care, eh? [ BTW, I didn't know that there were any Tiny Tim fanatics in this world.] G'day!
Joyous glorious lyn... and what a superb group loved them thank goodNess for all the recent reissues ...Happy Anton
loving the banjo in this, very versatile Mr Kristian
Lyn Paul..wonderful voice, and within the New Seekers, perfectly matched with Eve and also the brilliant talent, Peter Doyle.
Oh, the nostalgia. I only saw them live once at the Fiesta, Sheffield. I do miss this line up. Never can be repeated since the loss of Mr Doyle.
What an absolute hoot.
A concert from my youth - and i still love it - and Lyn my favorite New Seeker
I just found it:
Good Old Fashioned Music (The New Seekers; Live at the Royal Albert Hall, 1972)
Love Lyn Paul!!
An absolutely fantastic group. Does anyone have a time machine please?
Finaly Lyn gets to do her thing! love it!!!!!
Finn Petersen Well said Finn! She really throws the kitchen sink into this one - timing is on the money too!!
I have the album ,it's a wonderful concert.

I still have the original double album I was given for my 12th birthday... I still wish that I had the cardboard theatre kit.

No nudity. No tattoos. No swearing. No profanity. It can be done!
What a hoot!
Didn't realise that the multi talented Marty Kristian played the Banjo as well.

'Good Old-Fashioned Music', performed live at the Albert Hall, is the song you're looking for. Lyn's washboard actually has a cymbal attached.
It's exactly the same as Tiny Tim's 1968 rendition of Ever since you told me that you love me (I'm a nut) mmm.
I'm a nut ,,that's what eve said after she left the band 😅
Anyone who can sing, can play the kazoo!

I cannot locate the lyrics for this on the IterWeb. Does anyone have access to the words ... Lyn sings so fast here that I cannot always follow her.
I have the lyrics on my RUclips channel except they are from God Bless Tiny Tim 1968, slightly different ending.

Haha, It's ok, sorry you couldn't find them, I'll try and rename the song with lyrics or post another one. :)
Thanks for your help, eh!
It's ok.
Why did they waste their energy on **** like this, even as a 'turn'? Their cover of Pinball Wizard sets the bar way, way higher.
Lyn was the best
