Meg is right ... banging is not what you call holding the tail up to cut it ... which is done to make sure the bang is straight in natural carriage when the horse is in movement. Banging is the name of the straight blunt cut made to the tail like when a fringe is cut into ‘bangs’ ... So you will have to suck that one up Matt!

My best friend loves horses, but doesn't own any of do lessons sadly. But one time she came to my horse riding lesson and after the lesson My trainer let my friend ride my lesson horse, I got to lead her and instruct her! I think that was the best day of her life

matts retired horse has more muscles then my horse that is in training 🤣
He is retraining him to a jumpers horse but you are right ,he does have a naturally beautiful build
