I thought the same thing, I was thinking if this turn out ugly, I won’t be able to wear it because of my cat, but fortunately he isn’t interested because tails are too short😂

I'm 67 and I'm going to make a pair to lounge around the house. I love the look and I'm all about what makes me happy. Would I want somebody to see me in them? Probably not!😅
Dumb question… when you are figuring out how big to make them where to measure from the bottoms of you pants or the top? I started my first pair of pants for my 6 year old and I’m getting near the thigh area and they seem like maybe they are slightly small, measured from the bottom of the pants. Idk. Not done yet but should I increase a little before finishing the leg part?

What brand yarn did you use, the colors are so vibrant, I love this pants
I used various brands, unfortunately, I can’t remember all, since these were mainly craps, but its mainly 100% acrylic, and I often use women’s institute or bonus hayfield yarns, hope this helps 🫶🏼

Hey! I don’t knit but if you meant crochet, all I have is scissors, big but plastic or metal needle, and simple metal hooks I got from amazon 🫶🏼

How do you do your measurements if you want boot cut pants?
Are these breathable? Like how are they in hot/ warm weather?
I used acrylic yarn and they are made using Dc stitch so have some holes in it, but would be too hot to wear in the summer I’d say

Depends what yarn you use, but it should say how wash it on the label 🫶🏼

My double crochets are full of gaps. Would HDC work?
Any stitch you want
You can make your dc less gap-y. Instead of doing yarn over first, insert your hook into your previous stitch that you just made. Yarn over, pull up a loop. Then normal dc into the next loop.
So basically:
Insert hook into previous stitch, yarn over, pull up loop, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop. Yarn over, pull through 2. Yarn over, pull through 2.
Any stitch would work 🫶🏼
I see when you stitched the red you looped underneath instead of through the v
I always went into normal stitch, throught both loops

How do you know how to measure the round for the tube ?
Measure widest part of your leg around or pants that you like
I had to frog mine cuz they keep twisting… how do I prevent that?
What do you mean twisting? If thats initial chain and first row, you have to make sure that your chain is not twisted to begin with
