02 Dodge Neon cigarette lighter/power supply stopped working-it was 2 fuses NOT THE OUTLET

cigarette lighter/power supply stopped working. I was using an air pump that plugged into the lighter outlet and it stopped working. pump works still, so I use a cellphone charger, not working still, so I tracking down the issue and found it to be Not the outlet at all lol....
1. pop hood-disconnect negative terminal on battery
2. take lid off the fuse box under the hood-fond correct fuse and replace WITH EXACT NUMBER FUSE(if pulling a 10, replace with a 10). Beth pulling a 25 and you replace with a 10 it will not work)
3. open up car door, drivers side panel, open, find correct fuse. (I checked the. all, 1 by 1 to see if the fuse was blown. The metal curve in the fuse will not be complete if blown).
4. replaced. both fuses, now connect the negative battery terminal, try the key in ignition on position, try the outlet with a low wattage price like a cell phone charger or cigarette lighter. . if you use the air pump it may pop it again...
if there is still no power to the outlet it maybe the actual outlet. there are a few steps on getting to the outlet. you can't just pop that cover off that is around the heater vents radio and outlet it is screwed in...
*if starting this project undo your batteries negative terminal again....
1. remove the center air vents(2total)
2. 2-Phillips head screws are behind where are the air vents were in the dash. remove those put those to the side. don't lose those.
3. remove the heater blower knobs(4) keep in order
4. there will be two more Phillips head screws to remove.
5. then a flathead will go in between the dash and that plate popping it off so you then can get to the outlet back. it is a clip that unplugs from the back of the outlet
(be careful of the wiring to the defroster)
6. check connection for any burnt signs.
7. replace with new. put back all items in reverse order and your cigarette lighter should be all new and working properly.... don't forget the battery terminal
