I love that this scene shows how dangerous Rocket truly is with his gadgets but then follows it up by showing just how dangerous he is without them, too.
I like how Rocket denies he's a raccoon in this movie yet he unknowingly fights like how most people would expect a super intelligent raccoon to fight.
It's kinda chilling listening to Rocket sing along like an old man. Kinda fits the bill of someone who lives a life of danger, yet has grown old. And hearing your opponent singing and humming, when he should be fearing for his life, can never be a good sign for your prospects.
I really don't understand people who liked Guardians 1 and 3 but not 2. 1 was incredibly fun, and 3 was beautifully shot and very emotional, but as far as world-building and storytelling, Guardians 2 honestly does it the best. All 3 movies are amazing. This one elevates the other two though.
After seeing GoTG Vol. #3, I can tell that Rocket was holding back his attacks. If his intention was to kill that Ravager during 2:20, he would've used his claws to kill him in an instant.
This movie came out the year I graduated high school, days before, there was a thing where all the kids who had good grades went to see the movie, I wasn’t one of them since I struggled with everything (the teachers were no help) at that point, I had only seen bits and pieces of the first one, and never seen the second one, so, I never paid attention to it, years later, my stepdad, since he loves Marvel movies, took me to see the third one, ever since, I’ve been a fan.
I think this is my favorite song usage in any of the guardians movies. Love it when they combine playful with badass. Just like Deadpool dancing to Bye Bye Bye
Something I really love is how all the other Guardians ended up loving music just as much as Quill does; from Gamora lip syncing, Groot loving to dance, and this scene as a prime example.
hands down my favorite MCU movie series of all time. everything about The Guardians of the Galaxy, I love. and although Wolverine will always be my personal favorite marvel character, the gotg will always be tied with him. these movies brought me so much joy as a kid; from the soundtrack, to the characters, and humor, I will forever cherish these movies, and after seeing the third one, I hope someday James Gunn will bring these characters together again.

I didnt like guardian of the galaxy, didnt know who or what they were for a long time even after pt 2 was out. Till one day, i woke up in the middle of the night, to the sound of oldies, after i had fallen asleep ans left the tv on and "this" was the scene that was playing as i struggled to open up my second eye... and as i began to grasp the entire scene with rocket diverting the enemies from groot and the blue chick, i just let out a big laugh and said, "aaahhh Rocket is a Mf!" 😂 and thats when he became my fav character and i became a fan of The Guardians of the Galaxy. And so, i watched pt 1 , pt 2 back to back and repeated. 🦝
