It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that this scene, along with the intro, are what sold the movie. And with it, opened up the entire MCU that led to Endgame. No one knew if the general audience would enjoy watching a movie about lesser known Marvel characters. But now they did.

Why is the CGI on Rocket and Groot better in GOTG 1 in 2014 than it is now… in 2023. I mean it’s minor but I have a good eye. It seems like CGI quality has decreased as the MCU has progressed. Less detailed. Anyone else see the same?
Spoiler Alert: No he wasn't. No one could solve the violent behavior of the anthropomorphic creatures in the genetic mutation chamber, except for Rocket. Not even the High Evolutionary.
My only criticism with this scene is I wish they had synced up Peter's scream with the "Ahhhhh!" in Hooked on a Feeling, like they did in one of the trailers. It was hilariously timed and I wish they'd kept it in here, too.
Before watching that movie, I had high expectations because a friend of mine told me "It was the best movie she's ever watched". I admit I got frustrated after I watched it...
