  • Segment 8 of the Colorado Trail from Copper Mountain to Tennessee Pass - still following the same trail as the Continental Divide Trail. A short night hike followed by a 24 mile day over Searle Pass, Elk Ridge, and Kokomo Pass, with thunderstorms, sheep, and the beginning of the mosquitos.

    Great drone footage! Love the music you have put with this, too. And Thank You for cleaning up the trail as you go. You are setting a fantastic example for us all. I pledge to follow that example when I get out there. Did not know there were pink Indian Paintbrush. Nice! And Spork posed so handsomely with them.

      I have mixed feelings about the drone footage. The images are certainly beautiful, but I don't like the noise pollution that drones cause.

    I saw you heading up Searle Pass on Saturday but didn't recognize Spork in his sweet new stylin' Hawaiian shirt! So cute!!! We were a group of three mountain bikers riding up Segment 8. We passed you going up a little before treeline, and then you passed by us having lunch at the Searle Pass summit. Glad you didn't get rained on too much above treeline on the way to Kokomo.
    Loving your CT videos Juliana! And thanks for the shoutout to friendly mountain bikers in your last video! Yay friendly walkers and hikers and backpackers and trail runners and mountain bikers all getting along on the trail!!! 😊😊😊

      ah yes, I remember you three! Take a closer look at the drone footage - are you sure thats not you guys riding up the trail in it?

      I looked at the drone footage, that was a group of riders that was behind us. But I love the rad drone footage you shot below Searle Pass. Such a great area!

    Beautiful. I still have to hike this segment. Looks like it was nice time of the year to hike - many wild flowers; maybe, except the afternoon storms. Is it a German Pinscher you've got? I used to have one like that - black and tan.

      I have a few to loan you but I am San Diego area. If I remember correctly you wore that shirt out. But now I am wondering, was it the same color as Spork's? Pattern is very close. Colorado is soooo beautiful. Born and raised here in So-Cal but Colorado and Utah are my favorite states.

    • @JulianaChauncey
      @JulianaChauncey  6 лет назад

      haha you don't want to loan one - they get destroyed so quickly... mine was yellow and black, I've still got it if worst comes to worst, but I've been keeping an eye out for a good replacement in thrift stores lately

      Keep the old shirt. Frame it!!! My youngest daughter has a Cal-State Mtn Bike Champion Jersey and she framed it. Just like the pro jerseys you see in sports bars. A great way to keep something that means alot to you and has memories not to mention in your case, mileage!!

    At least the dog shit bag is empty. One of my pet peeves , pun intended, are people that use bags but leave their bag full of crap there. If you are going to do that then leave the poop there and let nature get rid of it or better still do not get a dog. Your drone views are really good.

    I think the bigger question is ...why is there even a dogshit bag on the trail in the first place? Lol
