Cap't Morgan, Safety Dance, and a pizza box. You guys do things right!
So cool that you got to meet up with Dixie. Looks like great weather for you both on your trips. Lots of fire danger down here by Cripple Creek, so am not able to leave to do trail magic as planned, darn it. But was able to have some people who had to evacuate their homes stay with me, so I guess it was a different kind of trail magic. :-) Looking forward to section 8. Oh, and Spork, of course. :-)
Love the drone shots it looks so amazing out there. That is so cool that you saw Dixie out on the trail!! Looking forward to the next video
Big fan of the Spork addition to the videos
another enjoyable video. nice job! liked the drone footage. The climb out of Copper is pretty good as well; sure you'll enjoy that! Glad I was going down when I did my CW to Copper section last summer (videos in profile if you're interested). Keep it up!
Good Capt....
Thanks for another nice video documentary. Glad to see you are getting this done and enjoying it. Captain Morgan. LOL
Hello my outdoors friends. Thank you for sharing your fine video. I have really enjoyed your outdoor trek. You have the cutest little dog. Take care out there, be safe and always have fun. See you on the next one. 🤗
Glad to hear Dixie is still doing well, her videos are far enough apart that I sometimes wonder. Dog does not want to miss anything and he hung in there at the end but finally went to sleep
I enjoy your vids, Chauncey , can’t wait to see you finish the PCT. thanks
One month left!
You all have so much fun, love your dog.😊
Love the drone shots..colorado is a hell of a state..
The drone footage is amazing! I'm planning to start The Colorado Trail this weekend, can't wait.
Thanks, good luck on your hike!
Yes. Well done in getting that abandoned bear bag rope down. Thank you!
I seriously love your pup! Yes to bringing pizza.
I love your dog, so sweet!
Too funny. I was just thinking it would be so cool if you ran into Dixie and one minute later in your video you mentioned her. Small world. Oh and I want your dog btw. He’s too cute. Such a lil trooper
Love the videos. Keep them coming.
Awesome video beautiful scenery new sub here and I love that dog lol
thank you!
Glad you guys enjoyed the pizza! Great vid again. Cheers.
We did it yesterday and the trail was invisible under snow for the whole pass, had to switchback the trail using my Garmin..
Looked nothing like the same hike..too much snow this year.
It was still fun..but scary too
Backpacking a pizza? Priceless...
Kinda disappointed, but also quite glad that you didnt share video of your doodie & dog episode! lol :-) That had me crackin' up listening to that this past weekend! Anyways, Chaunce, love all your work! The podcast, videos, and etc! Keep up the great content, always waiting for the next podcast/video!
😂 I’ve erased that from my memory
Cool video. I love that you carried a pizza in. Love the doggie. Was that Kentucky bourbon ? I hope..... 😁😁 The scenery is so beautiful.
I love that fucking dog
I cannot believe you ran into Jessica. I only follow 4 hikers... Dixie, Will Wood, you, and one other. What are the chances? Small world.
right? especially given that I'm not out there daily ... always fun when you get to bump into people you know on trail!
Chaunc, loved this section. You showed a side of you that you didn't show on the PCT. Glad to see you are having fun. And running into Dixie???? She was one of the other bloggers I followed last year. Glad to hear you both hooked up. Do you go by Chaunc or Juliana now?
Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying these.. I go by either .. people say both
Spork is so cute and smart. Is he a toy Manchester Terrier or a small standard? His ears are pricked so maybe a toy MT? Do you think the toy MT is athletic enough to build up to being out on the trail all day? He looks comfortable being carried - does the sleep pad factor in dog carry configuration? I've read that MT nails grow faster than other dog nails and need to be ground or trimmed weekly; also hard to trim because they are dark so hard to see the quick. Do his ear tips ever dry / crack? I've heard that's another issue with the MT. Maybe we will see a Spork Q&A in the future?
I think he’s just a regular Manchester terroir, not a toy.. he usually gets a bit tired after 15 miles - but it’s moreso when the sun is exposed and hot, because of his dark fur... so we end up carrying him more when it’s hot than when we’re doing longer miles. No clue on the ears (it’s my boyfriends dog so he knows more) but his nails do get long and Kent has mentioned that a lot of places won’t trim them because they can’t see where the quick is, so they’re usually a bit longer than I’d like
I’ve got some better answers - he’s technically a toy but he was the largest of the litter - I guess the average for a standard is around 22lbs and he is 18lbs.. also he had the dry ear tips for 4 years but it went away as he got older
A nice hike can you layout a map to see how you did it
Where did you get your sunglasses from ? I love them
They’re from Madewell!
Spork is my new spirt animal
Now that your official status has changed to, "in a relationship," your boyfriend reveals that he has trained his dog to lick his snot. LOL!
Any grown man that complains about a 6am start has a lot of growing up to do.
