Dante! You need to read this!
You CAN discard weaponry from your inventory. You just have to drag the weapon to the remove box, like you do for ammo
Weapons do NOT despawn
You could shoot the 2nd window for the FIRST daughter, I believe that weakened her more for me when I was playing through
The rifle is a far more superior weapon than the first shotgun as it can one shot enemy's with a bodyshot. While shotgun would've only down them
I believe you're playing on a harder difficulty? So try to be frugal with your ammunition

YES, all facts, idk why dante didnt think of just dragging the weapon to the remove box, but it is way more entertaining on his behalf, so he gets a pass

His role is that of a merchant, and he is the only character with that role in this game. If you meant to say that he isn't The Merchant, as in the character in RE4 whose literal name is "The Merchant," you should have capitalized his name. Therefore, you are either illiterate or have limited understanding of linguistic conventions. Either way, I hope you educate yourself.

I did this challenge very soon after the game came out and surprisingly no one had made videos on it. The hardest part was defiantly the fact that you can’t discard weapons, so I ended up only having the LEMI, the 1st Shotgun, the M1911, and the wolfsbane. Surprisingly I beat it.
When you have to pick up a new gun and you don't have space I think you can leave something behind

Dante keep up the great content, this is exactly what I needed right now I'm bored out of my mind thank you.
Freggel and I were the first two people to document this run on Village of Shadows to my knowledge. Next to Invisible Enemies it is THE HARDEST thing you can do in this game. I know Dante isn't on Village of Shadows, but it's still a difficult challenge either way. Hopefully this encourages more people to try it. Also Dante, you should definitely do the Invisible Enemies mod, it's fucked.

@@Awomman-kp3by I didn't find Knife Only to be so bad especially because in knife only you can still do food upgrades and buy extra healing and stuff. With no merchant, ironically you are so much more limited. Knife Only is still hard though don't get me wrong. The thing about no merchant is that if you make a bad loadout decision early on, it can actually softlock you. Because you can't trash any of the weapons in your inventory, so you really have to be thoughtful about what you pick up and when. Most importantly though, and this is something the game doesn't tell you, the knife is buffed in Village of Shadows. So you can actually do more damage with that thing than even the Lemi. You just have to learn the strats.
The moment I realized that because of these challenges,
Dante doesn't just play these games on hard mode,
but he also creates contents on hard mode...

Hey dante. Can you beat resident evil 4 with last minute desicions? The rules are follow:
•Ng+
•you get a 2 million ptas
• you can buy whatever guns you want and upgrade em however you want.(no infinite ammo guns)
Once you select your guns, you have to beat the game. You cant use the merchant anynore and you cant pick up ammo.
If a gun runs out if ammo you have to discard it.

Now with the special customisation options - this challenge becomes a joke. We have the better grenade launcher, the close range insta-kill shot-gun, super rifle, extra damage Wolfsbane, amped up M1911, better WTAC & overpowered healing pistol.
Honestly - did this on VOS without trying.

I have an idea! RE Village but you can only sell items to the duke and only get healing items from him or RE4 but you can only sell things to the merchant and get healing items from him. Don’t want to do that challenge? I have another idea! RE4 or RE Village but you can ONLY use purchased weapons!

Hey, I don't know how viable it is, but in the RE1 remaster, you can slightly shimmy forward if you bring your gun up and down rapidly, you can very slowly move forward. I'm wondering if you could try beating RE1 without walking at all (say for turning)

I'm honestly surprised that the knife does more against Miranda than the handgun and shotgun without upgrades.
I won't mention the details in case you or others want to stay potentially unspoiled, but there's a rumor for RE4 Remake about when you play as Ashley. A small tweak to her gameplay.
If the rumors are true, I hope you'll do a modded playthrough as Ashley. Whether you mod the escort-Ashley to be someone else is up to you, Dante.

Probably because many of them stockpiled rocket launchers, in my case I had to use normal weapons and it was hell
