The fact that this man used one handed attacks instead of power stance attacks DEFINITELY made this run all that much harder (plus not upgrading the fist weapons at the blacksmith I think). The mad lad handicapped himself even more than was necessary or intended and still beat the game, QuantumTV and any other bs reviewers be damned

You can tell that Dante was afraid of this challenge judging by the intro. For me, Dante can take anything like a champ. If he could go through hell on RE4 and 5 knife only, he could beat Elden Ring fist only.
I love the reveal that up until the very end, all those feats and dead bosses, giants and demigods, were all killed _one handed_

They weren't. He might not have known about two-handing them consciously, but looking at the Godrick or Smarag fight, he's two handing. Keep in mind, I'm not saying he knew about it definitively, but just he was two-handing them at some points.
@@nodripnightshade6531 I think youre mistaken. He looked like twohanding, but actually, he was just using a fist weapon in every hand, not twohanding them. You can see by both weapons being fully visible, while twohanding one of these, they left slot gets transparent (as seen later).

I started one, i went and killed boggart at level 12 to get his fists and killed bernhardt for the beast champion set for poise. It was surprisingly easy and i more or less finished liurnia 3 hours in lol

Storm stomp + Heavy Spike Caestus is a lot of fun ( minus bosses who have hit boxes smaller than their model >.> Erdtree Avatars).
Like I'm enjoying it way more than my Blasphemous blade run. Even thought it's the bis 2hander.

The worst part about using fist weapons isn't that they're bad, it's just their reach. Some fights like Radahn, Morgott, Fire Giant, Beast Clergyman/Maliketh and Elden Beast can be a pain with fists because some of your attacks will either slide off of them or not reach their hitbox. Against regular enemies they're great and you can basically chain poise-breaks, but man do we need to suffer sometimes for our doll waifu.

I relate to the draconic tree sentinel. I stayed up for almost 7 hours trying to beat him. I was so stubborn I didnt even try leveling up I just kept trying. I eventually did it but god. Magic build against him is difficult. Especially since I was new to the game
I did that with every boss I was too stubborn and convinced I could do it without leveling
I wonder if he will visit the other games now. This series is very good at allowing challenge runs!

This is close to how I played my first run, used the cypher pata as my melee. Wasn’t till after I beat the game in nearly its entirety that I found out almost every boss is resistant to holy damage, upwards of 80% damage reduction on bosses like maliketh
I thought cipher pata had an attack that ignored resistances and defense to a certain extent

Margot has to be my favorite boss just because it’s sets up your expectations for the rest of the game so well and his move set was so fun to learn

16:12 the +43 damage comes from the scaling of your weapon. since it was a fist weapon I assume it scaled with strength

(and between u and me, using magic to buff your weapon is legal imo because your still using your fisting weapon not a magic weapon just a magic buff which is completly different imo but tbh ill leave that to the ER comunity because ive only played Bloodborne and Dark souls 3)

The worst thing about fists for me is the range, can't even touch some bosses sometimes. I pretty much main Caestus though.

Since Elden Ring came out, I did my best to absolutely avoid it. I had seen literally NOTHING of this game, except an article saying "you can't equip rings in Elden Ring", until this very moment.

12:00 Pro tip: Got two weapons of the same typing? You can attack with them at the same time if you got the right stats for both in between each other. It's called power stancing and I recommend the Rotten sword insignia, as you will be hitting repeatedly with fist weapons.

I have a caestus only run on my channel it was the most fun I ever had with the game honestly.
Spiked caestus? Nah, Regular caestus are king! Playing with these weapon taught me a LOT of things about the game and the way it *wants* you to play.
Also, them bosses hitboxes didnt help at all haha
Imo the caestus are intended to be used with blue dancer talisman and low load it was much easier than your palythrough at least.

Late but if u have a fist/claw you actually have 2 but the other one is on your hip so if u try to 2 hand the weapon it will be equip on ur other hand also
The fact you made it to Maliketh without power stancing the fist weapons was impressive all on its own. You can power stance them with just two handing it puts the same fist weapon on both hands. Great video.

When I got to Radagon I couldn't even beat him, even with my buds cause by the time I got to elden beast I was down to 2 flasks and my bud who was on NG+6 would die immediately and I would sadly follow as well but after they had left I decided to change my build into a pure strength build and only used the Iron Ball fists and in that moment I not only beat Radagon but I also demolished The Elden Beast and after that I never changed my stats because the fists were all I needed
Can you please please do a bleed build only run on Eldon ring and what I mean by bleed build is as long it does Bleed damage no matter how much it’s allowed

The Spike Caestus is a great fist weapon. It's does bleed and poise damage. I have actually beaten several bosses with an upgraded version.

The similarities here haha. I’m running greatswords. I just picked the game up, and it’s my first souls game.
I was aware enough to know I needed to level up. I spent close to a dozen hours just exploring and leveling up before I went to Stormveil.
It’s awesome seeing myself get better at the game. The only boss I haven’t been able to beat on my first try is Draconic Sentinel. His phase 2 is a tad ridiculous
1 question why didn't you power stance this weapon you know if you press the two hand button you can do that ? You would Do more damage if you omly POWER STANCE FOR FUCK SAKE PLEASE POWER STANCE!
