Resident Evil 4 VR has been such a blast to play. I wish I could've shown my live reaction to the entire game but hey, you guys did get a 25 minute gaming challenge out of it so I hope you enjoy. I really want to play more VR games but there aren't that many good ones out there. Give me some suggestions down in the comments and I'll be sure to check them out!

I know I reused a couple clips from my gameplays but I thought they fit in well to the context of the story.
Also, unfortunately I didn't finish the game with live commentary. That was only the first two episodes.

Fun fact about RE4 and RE5: the more you use a weapon, the higher the chance of it showing up in the ammo pools. Handgun ammo and money always have a chance of showing up no matter what.
Aside from scripted handgun ammo loot, if we keep about 100+ handgun rounds in our bag, the handgun ammo drops tend to stop flowing

Yes two hands increases shotgun accuracy (in fact all back weapons). This is most obvious in Shooting Range especially with the first shotgun which sucks bad at mid to long range if held single handedly.

The story driven videos are great and the improv ones are great as well but these new videos that are a mix of both are hilarious.
Also Dante strat is undefeated
This effectively gives you buyable ammo for basically any weapon. Prices are higher than RE8, but this opens up a bunch of possibilities.
Only the Shotgun(s), mine thrower, and the BAR I'm afraid. Just emptying the clip doesn't change your inventory, you need to cycle the bolt manually to get the round. I'm doing a BAR run now and it's mad fun. Some parts are super easy, and others (hedge maze for example) are crazy tense (for me at least).
I'd love to do a "tons of TMP ammo, no power upgrades" run.

Bolt-action Rifle. :) I finished a "fully upgraded red9 only" run last night. Took 3 hrs, which is rubbish for a speedrun, but is the fastest I've ever done it :) Had to run past regenerators but killed all the other enemies. Ammo was tight after Krauser, had to bait army boys into dynamite.

What are you doing step-el thic boy?
They are relatively easy to defeat in VR because now you are so mobile lol.
However it is a bit tricky in the 2nd optional encounter at the narrow village valley.
Scariest for me was the sewer with the invisible bugs. Shit was freaky
When I played it nothing was that scary I mean sometimes when I was low and like 3 people were trying to hit me I would panic so bad that I would just stop walking for a sec fun game tho ight well now that I’ve beaten pro difficulty for the first time I now only panic when it comes to those dumb 1 hit cannon things

Keep in mind that the Riot Gun (2nd shotgun) is substantially more powerful than the Striker at ranges further than point blank up in your face. The pellet spread of the Riot gun makes it the better combat shotgun while the Striker is the "Oh fuck, I'm getting surrounded" gun because of its ridiculous shot dispersion. That's also why you didn't shoot Ashley when shooting at the bars holding her.

It seems this VR version just doesn't get the game harder instead it will get it easier to play right, damn this is insane. love it so much 😂😂
After playing up to the first novistador encounter so far, the quest version definitely feels easier. A lot easier to bait enemies into attacking. Garradors were easy, you have a good amount of time to shoot arrows before they hit you, chainsaws are easy to avoid, you can knife a lot faster, and reloading is really fast and easy to do.
I definitely recommend playing with the new aim settings, not classic leon mode. Classic leon mode is tank controls.
This video is so cosy and fun, it brings back memories of all of your past brilliant videos

I like how I'm the original, Leon struggles to hold the giant bear trap open for the dog to escape
But clearly, in vr, you play as Leon after continuing the Redfield bloodline and almost rip the thing in half
Buying the shotguns just for the ammo reminds me of my first RE5 playthrough as a kid. I was on final Wesker and didn't understand how his fight worked, so every attempt I would go back and run through Ruins for 100k worth of treasure, buy as many Magnums as I could, then sell them all for their ammo for my Lightning Hawk lmfao took forever but I finally brute forced through it

Shotgun tip:
Move to enemy, shoot, back away,reload, repeat
Wouldn't the fully upgraded first shotgun you get have been better for long range opponents. The unique upgrade for it makes it deal full damage no matter what the range you are at is.
That carol of the bells towards the end was really chilling. I forgot about that song. A real special one. Thank you Dante.
Here’s an idea Dante! Can you complete RE4 without reloading 10 Broken Butterflies?

10:54 i think you're suppose to shoot the red barrels to damage him to save ammo for that reason, personally i would still count that as shotgun only because you're shooting the barrels with the 'shotgun'
Its bc in RE4VR if you dont 2hand the shotguns they do reduced damage
