Japan is a relatively safe place to visit but it does have some animals that have the potential to be deadly. In this video i will be going through some of Japan's most dangerous animals, as i will be going through 5 of the deadliest animals in Japan.

Thanks for watching i hope you enjoyed :)
I’ve been watching since 2020 loved to see your growth your videos are great and always so informative
Thank you for the support and i'm glad you enjoy the vids :)
Black bear "attacks" on humans was almost daily news here in November.
One explanation was that there was an abundance of food last year, leading to an increase in the population, but there was less food available this year due to the low rainfall and higher temperatures.
Yes, it is said that there were food shortages in the bush in 2023. But there were many mother black bears accompanied by three cubs, which is unusual. And most black bears seen on the news were plump.
Honestly I didn't even know bears roamed Japan. Thanks for sharing. Now Kuma from the Tekken series makes more sense now.
If I'm not mistaken, Kuma means bear in Japanese. I think the word Yezo is a specific species of bear found in Japan. One thing I know for certain, the black, fluffy ones are hella cute 😋
You know it’s bad when the brown bear is only number 3! 🙀🙀🙀 Thank you for all the videos this past year! Happy New Year and see you next year! ✌🏼💖🎊🎉
Wow! I knew there were brown bears in Japan-but I had no idea they got close to the size of Kodiaks!! That was very interesting to learn!❤
Considering how many Pokemon are based off of yokai and other japanese animals this isn't too surprising to me. I believe the Pokemon Ursaring and it's prior evolution, Teddiursa are based off it's brown bear
Its the same that roams in Siberia and occasionally gets killed by Siberian tigers, obviously full grown males gas nothing to worry.
But they are the most agressive brown bear in the world.. so unlike grizzley bears if u meet one in the wild you do have to scare it away or else ur fkt! 😅
@@cbp117 so basically they’re the chocolate version of a polar bear?
Just…one of the last possible species you’d ever want to stumble across in the wild. 🤣❤️
I'm happy the bears in Japan haven't been driven to extinction
Yes, don't let them suffer the same fate as Africa's Atlas Bear T-T
むしろ増えすぎなくらいなんだよな、うちの近所にも出るようになってきた。
The asian hornet was this year so much found in the netherlands😭
Tyler Mac Japan 🇯🇵
Luckely i didnt see one
RIP thank God I live in a part of Europe where they can't survive.
@camponotusgaming3980anywhere where it’s colder throughout the year than it is warm
Iv seen one in Yorkshire 😮
I was today years old when I found out that Japan has Venomous Snakes.
5 Japanese black bear 4 ussuri brown bear 3 Japanese moccasin 2 Japanese giant hornet 1 godzilla
I like these kinds of videos discussing deadly animals. Could you make a part 2 or do other parts of the world?
Asian Giant Hornets (or Northern Giant Hornets, as they're also known as) have now been eradicated from North America, as no nests have been found this year.
Seen one in Chicago last year
You could do top 5 deadliest sea creatures in Japan next
h-how did you become so buff?!
*everytime tsuki says japanese i do one push up.*
*everytime tsuki says bear i do one pushdown.*
Fugu, too! If the chef isn’t skilled, of course…
❤️ your channel I just found out 3 days ago
pretty sure deadliest animal in Japan is godzila. but i guess since he only attacks every few decades, he wouldn't show up on an annual basis
Happy new year! Thanks for reading my comment in your Q&A video! Really appreciated it. Have a great one!
Number 1: godzilla
😂
I found your video extremely interesting. I learnt a lot. Thank you for sharing.
💖 From Australia
These Asian black bears unlike the American black bears, are not afraid of people and will attack if they feel threatened. Other notable mentions include macaques, tiger sharks, bull sharks, giant centipedes, Paederus fuscipes beetles, blue ringed octopus, stingrays, man-o-war jellyfish, etc.
@@Ad_Blocker_For_RUclips they are naturally afraid, the vast majority will either ignore or run away from people. When they get aggressive it is usually a male bear in heat, a bear with cubs (most black bears with cubs won’t even attack on sight either) or it associated humans with food because idiots fed it thinking it was cute
@@Ad_Blocker_For_RUclips The only way I can explain this is they have this really hideous and freaky look on their face. North American black bears have a more calmer demeanor and a bit of a cute face.
Don’t forget the giant salamander and do believe that they have giant Orb Spiders.
@@michaelwall3393 salamanders and orb spiders are harmless as fuck
The problem with introducing wolves to Japan would be that the canid known as the "Japanese Wolf" was not a grey, timber, or Arctic wolf; they were their own small, sleek canid...and they are all quite extinct. You can't go home again. Especially if you are extinct.
They were actually even more unique than that, it is believed that they were Pleistocene wolves, which aren't closely related to any modern wolf species.
I think there's a reasonable chance they are still there.
Japan is very unique also love vid:)
My fear & paranoia of the giant hornets absolutely destroyed the enjoyment of my 6 weeks in Japan
It’s like the fear of bees anywhere. And bees are much more widespread!
Did you see any? Are they that common? just wondering.
Not trying to be a jerk, but you should get help with that.
I went to Japan and spent roughly the first month on Sado Island in the summer. Seeing the Hornets was a daily thing to the extent that I just got used to them. I saw hardly any once I left Sado, and I stayed until November. I went again in the Spring and didn't see any, though I stayed mostly urban and suburban for that trip. Takeaway, they're more common in the summertime and in the countryside.
@@kennethkay7226I live in a suburban area in Japan and see them once every three or four years. They are probably more common in rural areas.
The ecological vacuum of the Japanese wolf would honestly be a great opportunity to inject an endangered wolf from another region, Japanese people evidently don’t like the idea of re-introducing large wolves again, why not fill the niche with the Ethiopian wolf which is smaller and less intimidating, but can still take out young wild hogs? Lost opportunity
❤️💖 Did you know that tigers, lynxes, wolves and alligators used to roamed Japan?
The Japanese wolf 🐺 used to roamed Japan but they sadly went extinct. There have been fossil records that tigers, lynxes and Chinese alligators once ranged in Japanese Islands. I would definitely loved to see these animals reintroduce in Japan. Bringing back wolves, lynxes or tigers could help control deer 🦌 and boar 🐗 populations in Japan. Reintroducing Chinese alligators to Japan could help boost their numbers in the wild and help control invasive species like fish, nutria and muskrats. 🐯🐱🐺🐊 🇯🇵 😃😀😄😁😊😉 👍🏻 💖❤️
We could use some wolves, bears and lynx over here in the UK
There have been alleged wolf sightings in japan. the species might have survived
Yes, introducing new animals is a good idea without any possible downsides. It's not like the native tigers, lynxes, and alligators were specifically adapted to life on that specific island, as well as the many ecosystems.
@@RandomMackem3247there is hardly no woodland or clean rivers. Maybe up in Scotland but not in England/Wales
@@Xal1991 that’s why I said UK, England, Scotland, whales and northern island are all included
I think you do a video about the top 5 most popular pet birds and i love your VIDEOS ❤
5:43 this thing just scary
It’s safe to say this is your last video in 2023❤.
you're right there haha :)
Australia:
Hold my beer.
The Japanese giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia japonica) is a subspecies of the Asian giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia). Japan has five species of giant hornet/wasp.
Very interesting information and beautiful video💥👋👍👍👍🤝

Nice voice and diction, Im in love with
I’ve been stung by Japanese Hornets five times it was some of the worst pain imaginable and I’ve never had anything equal to that pain.
Really interesting video. I hadn't thought of Japan as a country housing mortally dangerous animals. But I've never been there, & my assumptions of Japan being one big Tokyo are no doubt as falacious as the United States being one big L.A. or New York. Interesting to know that Japan has venemous moccasins just as the southeastern states do. What surprised me, though, is that their giant hornets cause far more deaths each year than bears & snakes combined!
If you count in the tropical sea around Okinawa, box jellyfish, blue ringed octopus, several cone snails, reef stonefish, lionfish, fire coral, fire sea urchins, several species of sea snakes and other potentially dangerous marine wildlife could also be mentioned.
Happy new year tsuki
Happy new year :)
Happy new year Tsuki.
Hoooh...No wonder Tekken has a fighting character named Kuma. Anyways, Happy 2024!
Great white sharks are native to Japan, too.
Anywhere between 250 and 500 people are murdered each year in Japan. So the serial killer is by far the most deadliest creature.
I lived near Habu Canyon in Okinawa. Habu is a poisonous snake that everyone fears, but I never saw one in all my years there. However, one of my coworkers was bitten and had horrible wounds on one of his arms.
Freezing weather, and giant man eating bears 🤔. I think I'll keep living in Hokaydo.
Happy new year
Happy near year :)
Happy new year 🥳
You missed fugu and japanese rock fish
Let’s not forget Japan’s most iconic animal…
*SKREEEEOOONK*
The cat at 1:10, on see the boar: "Human, get my pork!"
👏👏👏
I don't like the sound of those hornets, at all! Even one sting sounds like something I'd rather never experience. Another great video. Many thanks 😊
I did not know there were bears in Japan
Bob Gymlan made a video on the 1915 bear attack. Its a terrifying story. The bear is estimated to have ended at least 12 people in total, men women and children.
This explains a lot. Disturbances aggression and drug use at will. Love is Love 😂❤
Is Godzilla not an animal? Or is He only killing other giant reptiles? Cute Fawn at very end, great video.
Go Japan
I can't run around the river anymore because of black bear warnings
You left out Godzilla!
If this list was longer, Mighty Bear Seven would take the number 7 spot.
An is usually the most dangerous species , next to mosquitoes
What about poisonous centipedes?
I live in the mountains of Japan and the scariest shit I have encountered are creepy man that love to hike and randomly stop by my house to stare inside(I live right under a hike path) ,or stealing your laundry and shit😅 and sure a bear is scary and dangerous to but not as scary and dangerous as man 😬
lol😂
Dear Tsuki. I have heard that Great White Shark attacked people in the Seto Naikai. Is this true?
Imagine that a fkn hornet is the number one killer in Japan!!!!
Could also technically include saltwater crocodiles as salties have been documented swimming into Japanese territories
Here is a video request
Animals you’ll mostly see in mix groups with other species
Wildebeest and plains zebra
Adelie penguin and elephant seal
Spinner dolphin and reef shark
Chital deer and langur
Animals that aren’t found in zoos
Mountain gorilla
Indri
Pink fairy armadillo
Swallow
Javan rhino
Saola
I still miss the opening music
1.6.24😮
Monster Island begs to differ.
That the top 5 are only killing like 50 people a year it feels like incredibly tame wildlife.
small island and even smaller undeveloped forests is why
Kesakege
What about aquatic creatures? No water snakes, jellyfish or fugus?
Are Eurasian Lynx, or other big cats in Japan?
According to Wikipedia on the list of wild mammals in Japan were there once eurasian lynxes, but are by now extinct
There are small Asiatic wild cats in Iriomote Island.
lynx have been driven to extinction since the Pleistocene there is no way of them going back
5 of the deadliest animals in the UK?
How will Japan survive when 30 - 50 boar-hog hybrids arrive in their yards in 3 - 5 minutes?
They’re gonna need to hire some Texas rednecks
Puffer fish.
5:09 I thought I would not be offended by this so I checked it and I instantly regret calling this not brutal 💀
Another deadly wild animal in Japan is known as the Gege Akutami it's so rare no one knows what it looks like
Japanese mamushi often fall victim to the Japanese giant water bug!
No mention of Godzilla
a wolf is a wolf
Japan: We have a boar problem! How can we fix it?
Other people: reintroduce wolves?
Japan: Hell no, we don’t want that
no mountain lion? wolves?
Who keeps vipers as pets?
wild boar and domesticated pigs are still in the same species
GODZILLA!!!!
Alot of Japanese wildlife is like american wildlife but japanese
No Godzilla?
スズメバチはそんなに怖がらなくても大丈夫です
登山しているとよく見かけますが、人間の姿を見ると逃げて行きます
巣に近づいたり、攻撃しなければ大丈夫
Where’s Godzilla
I think godzilla is number 1
I don’t know if you’ve done this already, but I think an interesting video idea could be about damaging and invasive Asian insects, which are actually a pretty big problem, at least in the U.S. I can name the Japanese Beetle (which eats and destroys flowers and fruits, particularly roses) and Emerald Ash Borers (which can kill up to 99% of ash trees in an infected area) from personal experience, and you could probably rehash the Giant Asian Hornet, so that’s already three possibilities of a usual five animal video. Just a random idea
Wheres Godzilla?
the boar came from china

Got stung by two of these hornets on the leg in The New Territories , Hong Kong. Now China. In a matter of seconds my leg swelled up like a balloon . It was very painful to say the least!
