Hi Craig firstly, I want to say thank you for all you do for the magic community. You have helped inspire me a lot to take my close-up magic and make it stand up magic. If you have the time, could you please give me your honest feedback for my stand up show list of tricks? One of the biggest problems I run into is the transitions, but I do have most of them down yet, they’re a few that I still need help with. The show lasts about 60 minutes. Please let me know if I should change the tricks or anything, thanks! Here is the list: Opener: Knots Off Silk Opening Line….. Lemon Introduction Doc Eason/Steve Spill comedy lines 1: Vanishing Coke Bottle Routine 2: Hug/Kill Routine 3: Professors Nightmare Extended Routine/Fiber Optics 4: Vanishing Water Routine 5: Farm Animal Mind Reading Gag 6: Cody Fishers Comedy Book Test 7: Celebrity Envelope Prediction/Baby Gag 8: Mental Dice Routine 9: Multiple Selection Routine/Card Trick 10: Silk Fountain Routine 11: Cube 3 Rubik’s Cube Solve Routine 12: Rubik’s Cube Match 13: Bill to Lemon Closer: Mapped/Torn and Restored Map/Motivational Piece

Hi! You talk a lot about marketing, but mostly on calls, but what's your strategy for answering emails? I heard from Josh Norbido that he used to film quick videos for new clients. Can you share some of your strategies? Thank you so much! Have a great December!
Hi Craig, what a GREAT 5x5! Thanks so much for all you do! Rhonda and I are hoping to see you in Blackpool in February! Your friends David and Rhonda (the Goldmans)
Hi Craig! Hope you had a wonderful time in Scotland (well it can’t be otherwise…can it?! 😊) and the head’s not too heavy 😂 Just a quick but even bigger THANKS for all the stuff! Keep it coming 🎉
Dear Mega-marketer Craig Petty, how are you? Please put on your marketing hat for these 2 questions. I was really inspired by the marketing for Joshua Jay's Particle System. Firstly making it a quote unquote 'system'. And secondly the idea of emailing buyers for a month to encourage them to practice for 15 minutes a day. Very smart. So I would love to ask you, what do you think of how it's being sold/marketed? And as you have seen an unholy number of magic releases, what's your opinion on 'systems'. Is it a holy grail, or already overdone? P.S. A book of a Craig Petty gaff and gimmick system with all your downloads, clocking in at 100+ hours and cutting the internet in half would be epic.
Craig - if you do a video on the 10 Most Overlooked Tricks of All Time, I nominate Cell Out by Joker Magic, which they now seem to call Deckamorphosis. It takes no skill, and when the deck disappears, and something else (I use Oreo cookies) appears in its place, the audience loves it.
Depends who is performing? Putting that aside, in fairness there are probably some tricks that come across more favourably than others. All things being equal. As someone new to magic, and thus hadn’t seen all the classics, it’s hard to get past the fact that tricks which have been around for hundreds of years. Have been, for a reason.
I know you love mem deck work, and I have learned Mnemonica. I don't do much with it as it is still pretty new to me. I do Card College and the Ultimate mem deck routine that I learned from The Netrix and Pitt Hartlings book. I am wondering about jumping on the Particle system in its infancy. Do you think that would be smart, or should I just stay with the one that I know and continue with the tricks I can find out there? Just was wondering and wanted to pick your mind about it, Thanks!
Hi, craig Thanks for all your answers on the q and a (and everything else on MagicTV) Can you please make a video on your best magic books of all time and why they are in your opinion the best? Two is it possible to make a series going through all the effects in a book for example a performance of all or at least the best tricks from PH Art of Astonishment Thanks
Interesting to know IOS is easier to code on. My money went to 1914 and Alakazam this year in Black Friday which leads me on to my question. I have a few Alakazam Academies including your coin academy lesson 1. Do you have a top 3 Alakazam academies you have watched? Perhaps they inspired a new routine or you enjoyed their performance style.
Hi Craig, Thanks for answering my questions as always! 1. Last year at Christmas you did a video ranking all your releases from 2023. Will there be a video like that this year? 2. I know you've answered this before but I can't find the answer. What gigging situations do you perform multiple out tricks like Petty Cash at as people see different outs, and also the same with tricks where the Prediction is always the same e.g. the main routine from MindBlox? 3. What would you say are your top 3 favourite Christmas films? Thanks as always! 😀 🪄
@@archiecoxmagic die hard is hard to argue with………but for me muppet xmas carol, the box of delights (a series but almost short enough to watch as a movie), a very murray xmas. The list would be different if I was asked again tomorrow. Except the muppets, that one’s immutable.
Craig, when you was beginning to explain why Matt’s test has not been up lately, I thought you were going to say that he was in the hospital with nails stuck up his nose. lol😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
what fast visual trick do you genrally do if someone at en event asks if they can film a trick. I usally do extreme burn or a cube solve but looking to find more very fast visual tricks that work in person for this.
Hey Craig Just curious as if you invent a trick how many are sold plus minus I Know every trick is different and more popular than other tricks Thanks Stephen Roux South Africa
Hi Craig can you help with the name of this effect please. It's a trick deck of 25 blank back cards and 26 blank face cards blue back with one force card with a red back. The magician uses the 10-20 Force to have the red card selected and is pulled out face up from the deck the lower 25 blank backs are turned over and the magician shows that they have picked the only card with a red back. Then the kicker is all the cards are spread to reveal there card was the only card in the deck. Sorry for the long message but I have a routine that does this effect with a normal deck and want to perform in the NMCs originalalty competition in a couple of weeks however I want to give a nod to the creator of what inspired me
Do you still do double cross. I never did it as every single magician was doing it at one point but now i see almost no one ever doing it even the people taht used to so now i may get it. Do you do it
Hey Craig! Hope life is well. I don’t really understand why magicians care so much about crediting. Can you help me to understand it? Aside from stealing an hour act, I often see most of the arguments as somewhat childish.
Hi Craig, hope your well. Do you have to use special salt or a certain type of salt for the salt pour trick. I bought normal salt and it doesn't flow, it seems to get 'stuck' or comes out in 'groups'and then stops. Thanks in advance 👍

I would love to see the Pieces by Christian Engblom in the Matt test. Good luck figuring that out.

No 3 is easy: Die Hard 1-2-3 😂
Personally its:
1. Santa Claus: The Movie
2. The Christmas Chronicles
3. The Christmas Chronicles 2

Just made exactly the same post, before pressing play on the vid. I should have read the comments first. ;)
