Surprise! Here is the second Christmas day surprise video as part of our old school xmas 2020 releases. These are all old videos (very old in some cases) which have never been worked into our release schedule! So thought we would be nice and drop them as 12 days of old school pheas xmas playlist! Be gentle with them, they are old!
I took the time to do my usual take down of the CYMA CM.048M to see what was inside and give you a guide to how to get into the internals.

Anyway one question, do all VFC clone CYMA AKs have blue internals now? I'm planning to buy one from Evike next year and I just want to make sure i don't get the old batches.

yeah they all have the blue internals now but im sure some of the ones in the evike warehouse have old internals

My LCT tk 104 AK needs a spring change as it’s shooting too high. Will this video help me on knowing how to change the spring? It is not a quick change spring btw

Great video. Could a hole be drilled into the back of the gearbox similar to a V2 to help with holding down the spring?

Hiya! You could open up a small opening to get a screw driver in there. Most of the time I find I manage by just separating the gearbox shell for a small gap, enough to slot a small flat head in, then opening the rest up whilst holding down the spring/ spring guide! Great suggestion though! Pheas

What does it mean if it only cycles once and then only gives off a thud sound when firing?

Hello! If cycles once and then stops, it potentially could be a dead battery/ failing battery, first thing I would try would be another battery / charger for the battery. If it's brand new I would send it back to get them to look at it. Pheas

I just got a CYMA ZM93 and I can't get the BBs to load. I think this is a single shot because there are no battery connections or CO2 hookups. I have BBs in the banana clip just none will come out. Any advice?

Brilliant video, i'm currently looking to upgrade this exact gun. I want to upgrade the motor and get it running on a 11.1 battery. Do you think the standard gears will with stand it and do you know what type of spring comes with the gun as standard?

Hello! Glad you like my videos! I have a similar model still myself (cm.028) and upgraded the motor to a Kublai high speed and got excellent results (this was at the UK fps ratings.) The gearset will handle it, the piston on the other hand didn't manage to make it through the first mag on a game day. I didn't even manage to get into a fire fight. So my suggestion would be gearset is fine, piston might need to be better quality. As for the standard factory spring, I believe they are supposedly rated at around m120 spring which gives them the 400 ish fps range. Hope that helps. Pheas

Hiya! I am not sure if you can get an adapter that fits on the bracket at the back. I suspect you can't and you need to get a new receiver with the appropriate connection to add an AR stock to it. Pheas

Hiya. Internally there will be no differences. Externally they have a slightly different look due to being slightly different AK platforms. So its a case of go with the externals you like! Pheas

Hello! Yes, more or less, you can, in some models, get away without the front end element being disassmbled if you unscrew the hop unit from the outer barrel, you maybe be able to push it forward and allow the gearbox out. Pheas

I bought an ak from a dude and he told me that the only thing missing on the gun was something in the magwell that holds the magazine in place. When i put a mag in, its loose and doesn't make a click noise. Anyone can help?

Hello, it will be the mag catch itself then which is the latch you have to press to release the mag. You might need a new body as I dont know if those are sold on their own. Pheas

Hi, my selector switch doesn't reach the top, it stops moving a little above half way between safety and full auto, any idea how to fix this?

Hiya. It sounds like the selector is out of sync. You will probably need to take the gearbox out and realign the teeth of the various parts. Have you had the gearbox out before? Pheas

@@eoin3591 Hiya! you are probably going to have to just push them really really hard, I use a punch set with a hammer, or a small thin screw driver and use that to punch it out by hitting the end of the screwdriver with a bigger screwdriver like a hammer and punch. Pheas

Hello! DO you mean the top cover? If that falls off, then I would be checking the button at the back, that releases it, is springy and holding it in place firmly.. or check the fitting of it as it may not be sat correctly to be held in place. Pheas

@@PheasAirsoft Yeah seems to be an issue with the button I think, as if it should click / lock into place but just doesn't. It extends past the hole in the cover and feels solid but as soon as you turn the gun upside down it falls right off from the button

Hello! You will need a flat head screw driver, a philips head screwdriver, and then a set of allen / hex head keys or bits for a ratchet screw driver set. I would prefence a set of torx bits instead of allen / hex head as they work just as well in allen / hex head bolts but not as likely to strip or round out the socket. I would get a set that has some "precision" bits in as well as the "normal" sizes (like torx8 and torx10) as then you are covered for the grub screws that can be on some videos. Hiya. Did you see my unboxing of the cm.028. they are decent for the price. But better internals and externals compared to the 500 series of cyma am, but not quite as nice as the top end stuff. But very useable and respectable all the same. The plastic externals are solid enough, the body is silver though (not sure why) but looks ok and wood effect is convincing at distance but are solid. Great piece of kit if you are looking for an AK on a budget. Pheas

@@jasonkelley5014 Thats a tough one as I have had £500 guns that have broken their first game out, but then been fine afterwards. It will / should last you pretty well in all honesty though. My sons CM.506 has had thousands of rounds through it and still going strong without an issue ( Think we changed the piston once) but they are still going strong. IT should do pretty well but expect that , as with any gun, it will break eventually and need a repair. Pheas
