That weird thing at 12:40 that you say you do, is really a thing. It's called clocking. Electricians, after working on an outlet, or other electrical gear, will turn their slots to 12, 3, 6 or 9 to leave their invisible signature. That way they know when their work has been changed or tampered with. An electrician showed me on a four screw outlet. his personal code was the first screw turned to 3 o'clock and the other 3 turned to 6 o'clock. You're pretty clever, so I bet you already knew that. Also works when a new mechanic tells you he did such and such, on your car and you've clocked clamps and screws on your car with your special code. You can tell at a glance, if he replaced a filter or never touched the housing that holds the filter.
INJEN cold air intakes are the best out there install one on my 2015 Nissan Versa Note and it made a big difference I can't wait to install it on my 21 Corolla xse
Awesome! man that is the exhaust I'm considering now, it sounds like it makes a good combination then! I got some more handling mods coming then exhaust super excited man...
Did you have to modify or remove the diffuser to make it fit? I was thinking of doing the center style exhaust by remark because I didn’t want to alter the diffuser.
@@chrislarios2902 unfortunately you would have to remove the stock rear diffuser for the remark quad exhaust to fit.. I still own the center exhaust by remark but year later the quad exhaust was the one I really wanted the sound is deeper an more aggressive and in all just looks great 👍 worth you hard earned money.. In the end it’s all about your preference an how you like your car to sound
@@To_Fool_The_Fool thanks for they input! Nice to hear from someone who had both exhausts. Im probably going to go with the quad but I don’t know if I can manage to pay the extra $100 simply for the burnt tips. That might be a little much.
@@tpharo34 Hi Tim! Typical cold air filters are open instead of enclosed like the OEM was. You can see where I start to install it how the OEM one looks vs the new one. Normally the engine bay does not see water inside that area that easily however this would depend on the area you live in, how deep the water is, how strong the wind and rain, how fast the car is going when it hits the water is etc. One way you can get an idea if your engine bay sees water or rain is to open the hood and visually looks for signs of water or rain droplets, that way you can confirm if any water gets in there normally or if it's stays pretty dry. Hope that makes sense bud!
Hi Bryan! and thank you! Ahh yes regarding switching strut tower braces, I'm going to be testing different setups, different parts so I can keep bring you guys more videos which should help you decide which one you like best, pros and cons of each, so expect to see more changes to the E210, some fun stuff (both in the functional side and on the looks side) stay tuned bud!
Just got mine today! Been watching this video since it came out and have been inspired since. Question though do you recommend a throttle body spacer with it? And have you done any exhaust modifications?
Hi Brian! Congrats on your new intake! I still get a kick of mine and how much it changed the sound of the car. I haven't tried any TB spacers or exhaust but usually the gains with them are minimal like the CAI unless you get the car tuned after you have all your powertrain upgrades installed, then the tuner can get as aggressive as you want in the tune to extract as much power as possible. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thanks Ben! nope, no check engine lights here 😁 same with power, no reduction either (remember I'm not tuned, I know some folks are getting more power out bolt-ons with a tune). Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Sgt Diversity! Ah yes I do have a review on the Cusco bar here it is ruclips.net/video/mpIOM9VwBtM/видео.html this was actually the first mod that I did to my E210 and from there I was hooked this car LOL
Great video. I've been thinking of getting CAI but idk what brand to get. Either TRD intake or an aftermarket one like the INJEN. Since the INJEN is under the hood and not much of the outside air is coming in. Would it make sense to get a vented hood? Since it is kinda getting the hot air still in the engine bay. I'm just trying to understand and learn more about my 21 HB.
Hi Kevin! I think go for TRD if u want a more OEM look or go for Injen if you want to add some bling underneath your hood and a louder sound. But yes ultimately if u want to get cold air you will want to have a CAI that routes air from the outside. Based on the GR Corolla, a vented front grill and a vented hood would be beneficial (but the counter argument is that the GR needs that extra cooling due to the turbocharged engine, where the normal E210 is NA and overcooling can also be an issue). Cheers!
Thanks Bud! It should, it usually takes time for the year model to be updated (and you can also contact Injen, they may be able to confirm this information for you) Cheers!
is it feasible or really even worth it to turbocharge this car or at least put other performance parts on it that would increase Horsepower if it stayed Naturally Aspirated. I have a '21 Rolla Hatch and seriously in limbo as to whether to upgrade the car with performance mods or wait till the '23 GR Corolla comes out and trade up at the dealership? Any advice on this would be much appreciated!
Hi Aeon's Blue Aether of the Sixth Realm! I would wait to see what the confirmed specs on the GR Corolla will be as there is some speculation still before you pull the trigger on any big modifications. I'm going to stick with bolt on's as well for right now. Also give you time to think about your build in terms of what you are looking to do with the car. If your goal is a fast 0-60 then the mods you want will be different that if you plan on tracking your car. But yeah I'm excited to see what we get with the upcoming GR!
Thanks Matt! ah nice I heard the 6 speeds are so much fun to drive! This intake won't require a flash tune, the guys at Injen designed it to work with the stock tune (but I have heard that if you ever tuned the car the intake can get you even bigger HP gains). Thanks for watching bud!
@@tpharo34 Hi Tim! Getting a tune for you car can be done in two ways, one is to buy a programmer that you plug into the car and reprogram the computer for more power. The second way is to take the car to a tuning shop that can do the E210 and they can better dial in a custom program and in some cases even give you a dyno sheet with before and after readings. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Hi Higherself! It's a Vintage Casio watch, here it is if you want to get one amzn.to/3mYAbC8 not expensive but cool if you are into 80's tech. Hope this helps bud!
Nice and concise! I put one on my 2020 XSE hatch last summer. I agree, not a huge difference, but I still like the sound I got! I feel like for the first few months I got slightly decreased throttle response though. When I first got the car it was a rocket and could zip out into traffic with ease. Afterwards I felt just a little hesitation when trying to zip out onto the road. Could that be a possibility, or was I just psyching myself out?
Hi GrizDrummer25! yeah I really like how mine completely changed the way car sounds. I didn't feel a slower start from a dig, but technically it is possible that may be happening as cold air intakes (short ones like this one) trade low end torque for more power in higher rpms. While I prefer short ones, you could go for a full length cold air intake, it will increase torque on low end but at the expense of power at the top end. Hope that makes sense and thanks for watching bud!
That's disappointing that this cold air-intake lost low end torque. I want to get a newer Toyota Corolla and I love to do everything possible to give the car more power and torque. So, buy todays date, GrizDrummer25, do you still have the Cold Air-Intake installed on your Corolla, or did you got back to the Factory Air-Box OEM air-box...???
Hi Victor! I always recommend disconnecting the battery for safety and to ensure no check engine lights are triggered if I touch or unplug something in the process (that being said, I have cheated in the past! don't follow my bad example LOL!) Congrats on your new intake, Cheers!
Hi Countleopone! I haven't tested the K&N myself, but is a very similar setup from the pictures I seen. I think is going to come down to color since the K&N I only seen in gray and the Injen in polished aluminum or the pearl black that I got and also to price with the K&N being more expensive. I had K&N on some of my other cars and they are good intakes but think the Injen looks more sporty and I think is a better deal at it's current price (link to the intake in the video description). Hope this helps bud!
I just bought a 2022 corolla hatch SE, and currently waiting on the Quad Remark exhaust in the mail. I live in Cali and want an intake although because of the recent model year I cant find one that is CARB legal unless its for the 2019-2021 model. From what im told is that aftermarket 2019-2021 parts fit 2022 but will I still get state reffed for putting the intake?
Hi Redstarz87! correct, the CARB approved part must match the vehicle it was approved for otherwise I will fail at inspection. And also yes we have little to no CARB approved parts for the E210 platform which is common with new car models. CARB approved parts start to come out once the cars are due for actual smog inspections (the certification process is expensive so they always wait until CARB approval is needed from a marketing standpoint) Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Hey man I just got myself a 2022 corolla hatch, I want to get a exhaust or this intake which one do you think I should get first? Also after tuning your car with those specs approx how much hp you think the car can get up to?
Hi BPx4! I think you can't go with with either one (specially if you are going to eventually get both), the intake does have a lower entry cost point (about half the price of an intake) Regarding gains with a tune, it really depends on how aggressive your tuner will go on the tune (including what octane you choose to use for the new tune) by typically about 15-20hp is what we seen in average. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@@AlexAutoFun I really do appreciate you getting back to everyone in the comments there’s not 1 comment you havent replied to lol, one more thing sorry but say I got to a exhaust shop will they tune the car for me after installing the exhaust? is that something I’m going to need to do afterwards, and what’s the likelihood of causing a check engine light from an exhaust installation?
@@parrattb Thanks man I try! lol, regarding the tune that is normally a separate service (approx. $500-1K) so you want to do it after you have all the mods you want installed, otherwise you will have to pay after each mod installed. This CAI does not trigger any check engine lights and the exhaust (keeping the cats) should not do so either, I have a couple of exhaust systems coming to review them, stay tuned for those bud!
Hey man, I have the 2020 SE HB with a MT and I’m trying to find a mod to give her a little more beans. I live in Alaska and in the winter the hills around here just absolutely tell my car to fuck off. I run counter weights in the trunk and I have Blizzaks. 😂. Is an intake a worth while investment for a little more oomph?
Hi Charles! LOL dude how you describe the winter there cracks me up!😂 But yeah man I think it's definitely worth it, the sound change alone I think is enough but you do get a little extra power, you will loose some MPG unless your are able to control the urge to hit to mash gas pedal constantly, I noticed I drive harder just to hear the sound LOL
Hi CardboardCollectingCat! I don't have an exhaust on mine yet so I can't compare the loudness but based on other catbacks I have installed, I would say it's not as loud on the outside. On the inside it's a different story, you can definitely hear it in the cabin where before the OEM was whisper quiet, this makes the car sound like a race car LOL I do have an exhaust system coming too, stay tuned for that one, we'll see how much louder the car gets...
Would this fit or help a Toyota Corolla 2022 SE? Since it’s not performance I would love to Add an coke air intake but since SE isn’t performance I’m afraid I’ll just waste money and time
Hi Fernando! As explained on the video, cold air intakes are not as effective on new cars as opossed to old cars. However as I mentioned the sound totally changes the car as far as making it feel sporty and yes it does feels slightly faster and more responsive (which without a dyno reading, is likely the placebo effect by the new sound). If your goal is horsepower gains, I would recommend a tune along with the intake for maximum gains at the expense of MPG. Cheers!
Hi Greg! None so far (I actually had it longer since it takes me a bit to film, edit and release a video) but I will update this comment if anything changes. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Thanks man! You mentioned you don't really notice it at low rpm. So while cruising does it sound more or less stock? Had some systems before that were kinda annoying. I'm looking for something that is loud at WOT but settles down for the daily commute.
Hi Nangaki! Unfortunately I have not reviewed the KN air intake so I'm not sure on the installation process for it. However I would recommend for the installer to follow the installation instruction included with the air intake. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Miguel! I have not seen a dramatic change in MPG but like with any power added typically you will loose some MPG unless your are able to control the urge to mash gas pedal constantly, I noticed I drive harder just to hear the sound LOL Congrats on your new E210 by the way bud!
Hi MrTrump! This would be determined by the engine size your E210. I put the link to both the kit for the 2.0 and the kit for the 1.8 engine in the video description. Cheers!
Hi Dan! Your mechanic is likely going to use either a breaker bar and/or a penetrating spray like PB Blaster to loosen a stuck bolt. And in extreme cases, a mechanic will use a torch to apply heat to the bolt or use a bolt extractor for cases where the head is stripped or completely broken. Cheers!
Hi Leo! and congrats on your new intake! ah yes the front part, well it does look cleaner I think if the front is left on, I hope someone either makes a cover for those of us that removed it or it be neat if they make a functional snorkel (better than factory) that can route the air towards the Injen air intake itself..
this may sound stupid, but can you not just cover the part that goes straight to the engine, so when air flows in it'll go straight to the intake side and not the engine and the intake side?
I want one for my 2020 corolla... will it affect my warranty from the dealer ? 🤔 dumb question but if it will I won't do this mod . Thanks loved the video you got a sub from me bro..
Thank you for the sub MR BRUT3! I got plenty of cool content coming, welcome aboard! Regarding warranty, that's a good question, often a debated one, supposedly the law prevents them from denying warranty if someone added something to their car or worked on their own car as long as whatever was added or the work that was done was not the cause of the failure. So let's say you put window tint on your car and your transmission fails, dealer can't deny it because they film or install did not affect the transmission. But as simple as that sounds, here is the kicker, we heard horror stories of dealers not honoring warranty if they saw a modification claiming it is what led to the failure. Some owners have taken them to court or complained directly to manufacturer and since most of the time they can't prove the mod caused the failure the dealer accepted to fix it. So I guess is on a case by case basis man, but honestly, I would say the only way not to get hassled by dealer if you want to keep your warranty intact is not to modify your car at all and all service to be done by dealer (which kind of sucks lol). I personally always mods my cars and service my own cars so it more of a personal preference. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I used to work for the dealership for many years. and if you have any non oem equipment then you are taking a chance of voiding a warranty some dealerships would say that it only voids that portion of the car other dealerships will say it voids the complete car's warranty. the best thing to do is to keep your oem parts and then if you have any warranty claims you can just put the oem parts back on and you will have no issues cause they wont know that you used to have an non oem parts on the car. if you have added warranties you have to follow the contract that you bought some are very strict.

Hi, does it produce a lot of heat inside the engine bay? I heard injen intakes do the opposite of cooling down. Just want an honest answer. Very new to this scene.
Hi The Mad Villain! ah remember cold air intakes doe not produce heat. The heat you feel in the engine bay is coming from the actual engine and it's systems such as the AC. I think what you mean is does the intake get hot? The Injen Intake is made out of 6061-T6 Aluminum which like all metals can conduct heat. Some aftermarket systems use plastic instead of metal for their intakes (similar to the OEM plastic intake) the idea is that the plastic tube is not going to get as hot (conduct temperature) as metal ones. Which makes sense, so I think it comes down to what you want in your car, pure performance (plastic to reduce heat transfer as much as possible) or a combination of performance and looks with polished metal finish or like mine in pearl black. There are a few companies that will paint plastic intakes too if you want a nice engine bay but it's not that common (the alternative would be to paint it DYI) Hope this helps. Cheers!
@@joseph3520 Hi The Mad Villain! This only fits Corollas with the 2.0 Engine (some sedans are equipped with the 1.8, it it will not work with the 1.8 only for 2.0 Engines) hope this helps, Cheers!
Hi Elijah! while the E210 platform is shared by the Sedan and Hatchback, I'm sure there have to be small differences between the two to accommodate their different styles. However if your question is regarding this cold air intake, this intake works with both sedan and hatchback since it's dependent on engine size (2.0) not the style of the car. So as long as you have the correct engine this work for it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
Hi Gary, unfortunately we do not have a CARB approved intake for the E210 yet. If you get a engine light best thing would be to pull the code with an OBD scanner before any more dash lights come on to see what the code is, if it is in fact a computer going bad you may still be under warranty. If the code is related to anything else, then it can be traced to what is causing it (I'm thinking a loose connector or something that was disconnected or wiggled loose while installing the intake) but only the code can confirm. Hi masterlogray! Oh man you got two different issues here lol I'm at around the same miles as yours and no issues or sensors going haywire on mine. I would strongly recommend taking it back to your installer, they may have botched something during the install (check to see what DTCs have been set). Regarding the GR I would not recommend you go for it man if you consider the E210 being for 70-80yrs olds, the GR is on another lever but still based on the E210 platform so quality or mod issues you have right now will likely also be there on the GR...
@@AlexAutoFun yeah exactly. Plus toyota has really dropped the ball on dependability in recent years. I owned a 2012 carry and it ran like a champ with no issues for 200,000 miles. This is typical in the industry (CARB certification is very expensive), aftermarket parts are typically not CARB when the car model is fairly new and there is not enough demand for it (not enough cars on the road that have aged that require smog) Once that happens we typically see aftermarket parts with CARB approval (historically K&N seems to be the 1st on pursuing it). Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
Hi tamalesux! by "push them in" do you mean you remove the push pins at the 5:25 mark by pushing up (from below)? I haven't tried that but that sounds like it may work! thanks for watching bud!
Hi Shaylesety! there is a relation between torque and horsepower that is affected by changing your intake. Typically what I seen is that full length cold air intakes that go all the way to your fender will slightly increase torque at the expense of HP. Short ram intakes like this Injen have the opposite effect, you gain some HP and loose some torque. Now as you pointed out, the gains will be most apparent at higher RPMs. Now while I don't drive my car at the track needing to redline the car, I still it find it a lot more enjoyable with the additional sound and the slight gain if I do need to floor it. I may do a full length cold air intake, while it's typically more expensive, it would be neat for comparison purposes (I may also do the TRD box just need to piece that kit together) Stay tuned bud!...
@@AlexAutoFun a true and real dyno would help tho. I mean not floow it. Just make a dyne like you usually drive it, around 4 or 5 k rpm max and see if torque or horsepower are affected.
@@Shaylesety This is the 2.0 engine, non hybrid. Mine is automatic which is sporty but they say the 6 speed manual version of this is even more fun, I gotta try it one of this days!

Wow, Bent Nickel.. you just blew my mind, I didn't know that, but I can definitely see the benefits of doing it, ok so it's no so weird after all lol

Alex is the air intake safe to use or is it exposed to water if rain or water on roads?

Great review! Have you had any issues with engine lights or a power reduction? Thanks!
Thanks Ben! nope, no check engine lights here 😁 same with power, no reduction either (remember I'm not tuned, I know some folks are getting more power out bolt-ons with a tune). Hope this helps, Cheers!

Love the sound. Quick question when you bout the intake did you buy the Cusco strut tower bars os front for the car?
Cheers!
Hi, love the channel man. Do you think these would fit in the 24 Hb? The site only says fitment for 19-22. Thanks
But yeah I'm excited to see what we get with the upcoming GR!
did you end up trading?
Great video! I have a 22 SE Hatch with the 6 speed. Question for you, did you have to do a flash tune afterwards?
Thanks Matt! ah nice I heard the 6 speeds are so much fun to drive! This intake won't require a flash tune, the guys at Injen designed it to work with the stock tune (but I have heard that if you ever tuned the car the intake can get you even bigger HP gains). Thanks for watching bud!
@@AlexAutoFun what does "tuned" mean; what is involved to do this?
@@tpharo34 Hi Tim! Getting a tune for you car can be done in two ways, one is to buy a programmer that you plug into the car and reprogram the computer for more power. The second way is to take the car to a tuning shop that can do the E210 and they can better dial in a custom program and in some cases even give you a dyno sheet with before and after readings. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Just ordered a k&n intake for my 22 corolla. It’s a manual as well
So I’m looking forward to how it’ll sound quite a bit!
Awesome Juan! I'm still enjoying mine 😁
So, buy todays date, GrizDrummer25, do you still have the Cold Air-Intake installed on your Corolla, or did you got back to the Factory Air-Box OEM air-box...???

hey man, Im in between this one or the k&n typhoon intake, what are your thoughts on that one?
How about the oem trd cold air intake that toyota sells?
Can I take the air box on the front off the le model 1.8 the snorkel box or whatever it called
Is the sound louder than adding a catback exhaust on it? I have a catback exhaust on rn and its pretty loud and I don't want it to get too much louder
Since it’s not performance I would love to
Add an coke air intake but since SE isn’t performance I’m afraid I’ll just waste money and time
Hi Fernando! Cheers!

Cheers!
Will it fit for the sedan?
@@joseph3520 Hi The Mad Villain! This only fits Corollas with the 2.0 Engine (some sedans are equipped with the 1.8, it it will not work with the 1.8 only for 2.0 Engines) hope this helps, Cheers!

Is the engine bay of the hatch same as the sedan?
Hi Elijah! while the E210 platform is shared by the Sedan and Hatchback, I'm sure there have to be small differences between the two to accommodate their different styles. However if your question is regarding this cold air intake, this intake works with both sedan and hatchback since it's dependent on engine size (2.0) not the style of the car. So as long as you have the correct engine this work for it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
Hello does it work on a XSE sedan ?
Hi Hamza, if your XSE is equipped with the 2.0 engine then it should work for it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching bud!
Will it fit to my corola 2020 le sedan??
Hi Ronnie! I put links to both the 2.0 and 1.8 engine air intake in video description. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Is this smog legal?🤔
Hi Gary, unfortunately we do not have a CARB approved intake for the E210 yet. Hope this helps, Cheers!
Could I put it on my sedan?

Awesome! congrats on your new cold air intake Ryan! it really woke up my car!
My engine light came on as well as all the dash lights after like 25km of driving....Unhooked the battery for 10 min seems ok now...your thoughts would be appreciated
@@RyanLarivee Hi Ryan! wow that is scary! all the dash lights came on in addition to the engine light? there must be some type of serious electrical issue I have only seen that on cars where the computer was about to fail (an a few cases on car batteries too low that about to die which trips the computer out). Please let know us know what you find bud!
Did you take it in a dyno?
Hi Rj Jake! Nope, it would be nice to take it to one back to back, before install and after so we could get some readings but these days intakes add only a few horses, not like before, the intakes on newer cars are better designed that the old days. But to the me the sound alone would still make take the plunge for an aftermarket one. The car will eventually visit the dyno, got more mods coming. Stay tuned bud and thanks for watching!
Do you think it will fit on the 2022 corolla XSE since it’s a 2.0 Liter? @autofun
Hi youhatemeiloveyou1! correct it should fit the 2022 XSE Hatchback as there were no significant changes in model years...
@@AlexAutoFun even the sedan model? My bad for not being specific.
@@youhatemeiloveyou1 It should, the engine bays on the Sedan and Hatchback are almost identical, it usually takes a few months for Injen to confirm and update their site, once it does, I will update the video description to include 2022. But if you order one and confirms it fits please also let us know bud!
@AutoFun Last Tuesday I receive my INJEN air intake and finally today I have installed it. It fits pretty good took it for a spin 3x’s already and fabulous speed and noise difference. Injen doesn’t state it will or cannot work but I confirmed it on my behalf. They just stated that if it’s the same engine I should have zero problems. No check engine lights or any crazy lights on my dashboard. My Corolla sedan is a 2022 XSE and like you said in your point of view that if there was no changes at all on the motor. That it should work and it did. Exact same as previous year’s. It fits and it runs amazing. No problems or bs on installing it. I literally followed your steps from this video. Thanks autofun for the knowledge and review!!! Keep up the work!!!

Will this work for 2020 Corolla 2.0 on Amazon it says 2019
Hi Nehemiah! I put links to both the 2.0 and 1.8 engine air intake in video description, you can always contact Injen if you want to confirm the compatibility but normally what I see is that the Amazon listings takes a bit to update the years supported. Hope this helps, Cheers!

Have you noticed any mpg changes? Does this intake require reprogramming of the air fuel ratio? Thank you for your time and all your incredible efforts you put in each of your videos!
Hi LostWon! You're welcome man and I appreciate that! I got ton more E210 coming, Regarding MPG yes expect to loose some unless your are able to control the urge to hit to mash gas pedal constantly, I noticed I drive harder just to hear the intake, that's how good it sounds LOL There is not reprogramming required, however if you do get a custom tune you can extract even more power out of the intake (but aftermarket tunes do add more fuel to the trim which will definitely come at a cost of MPG) Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Hi Mohamed! I would ask your installer to double check everything was installed correctly and there are no loose connections (leaks in the system) in case the leak was large enough to reduce the air going to the correct path on the intake. Here is a machine I use to check for leaks ruclips.net/video/xxXvQGZWpTs/видео.html comes in handy when doing maintenance on the car, when changing a part (related to the intake) and when troubleshooting. Dude, Where is my car?!
I know! We need to ask Injen to make an intake for your ride!!
After about 6 months with this on my car....... only 16,000 miles on it... causing my sensors to go haywire and actually causing malfunctions. These cars are meant for 70 to 80 year old couples.... I am bummed I bought one now..... and the gr corollas from what I hear are gonna be 10k to 15k over msrp. Nope.
I stuck with toyota and all I've gotten was issues. I also highly doubt we botched the install. My dad's been a mechanic for over 40 years and still goes to school every year to stay updated on all the new technology. He said it's most likely something really dumb that's just another issue that computers in cars proves isn't always the best. Oh well I'll let the dealer deal with it. I just don't like the throttle lag in the e210.... it feels like they went out of their way to NOT make it sporty.
@@masterlogray Oh I got you, I thought you had it installed (installers typically warranty their job so it normally easy to just go back to them) but yeah I did same as you and install it myself. Wow man that sucks man, this is only my 2nd Toyota, have you tried other brands? I have several brands under my garage so it's interesting to see the different approaches each manufacturer does for their cars. But yeah the stock E210 was tuned for maximum efficiency with a hint of sportiness. I would suggest a Focus ST if you want to stay with a hatchback or maybe muscle car? not sure what type of car you are into or what the primary use of it would be, are you looking to a car to track, race at the drag strip or daily driver...
@@AlexAutoFun I've had a neon srt and it was fun but constantly having issues (dodges ... enough said). I'm honestly just looking for a daily driver and a little bit of that get up when I need it. Usually an intake alone isn't a bad upgrade since (while debatable) I've always manages to see an improvement in fuel efficiency. From what I've read online the newer Toyota have had the same drive control start malfunction issue so honestly not even sure now that the intake even had anything to do with it. Seems like it's either a short somewhere or a transmission issue. My cousin had an ae86 I used to take out and drive here and there and it seemed like the toyotas back then were built to last with hardly any complications. .... these computers basically added so much frustration to having a car.
@@AlexAutoFun turns out it was the transmission. Just went to shit...... getting replaced under full warranty.

... no sir you can't use this on your Tesla...😮
LOL!
You lose at least 3 to. 7 hp with stupid mods like this lol.. You gain more hp with filtre only if, only if you floor it to 7k rpm+ every second lol
Yeah! I think that be awesome if I can get some dynos with the different intakes and at different RPM ranges...
