This is a true story. I worked as an English teacher in Japan for a few years. One of my co.workers (an Australian girl) was placed in the apartment floor above me by her school. Anyways, after a few weeks I bumped into her and she looked exhausted... As if she hadn't been sleeping at all. She said ever since moving in there she had nightmares often about a man trying to claw out her eyes. It terrified her. She seemed an honest type in our previous encounters. So she went to our supervisor and told him since the tiredness was effecting her work performance. He told her that actually the previous tenant in that apartment was a man, and that he had committed suicide in that room years ago. Now she was extra freaked out upon hearing this and wanted to move out asap as she thought she was being haunted. The supervisor tried to placate her by hiring an actual japanese exorcist to go to the room and exorcize the spirit. He used smokes and chants to expel it (allegedly). After that, she no longer had nightmares and lived there for a year happily. It was strange though. She had no prior knowledge of anything bad happening in that place and yet she seemed to be genuinely haunted.

Me: why are you free to stay in my apartment while I'm the only have to paid for the rent? Ghost: Hey Don't forget I'm the one who lower the price! Me: ... Sound reasonable.
When the company I was working for posted me and 3 other techs to the Japanese branch for cross training we were given one of these apartments to live. The house keeper that cooked, cleaned and does our laundry will never stay pass 6pm even 1 time there was an heavy storm and we told her we would give up a room for her while the rest of us shared the other rooms. We did not know the history of the apartment till the last day when we were flying back home the house keeper called her son over to tell us that just before we moved in that apartment was left empty for over a year because the former owner had died in there.
I wonder how long he has to stay in the house before it's considered normal again. I agree though, I think that is what is really going on here. He said himself he is trying to live in as many stigmatized houses as possible.
Or the neighbours are gypsies. In my country having or not having gypsy neighbours is a common reason of why a seller would promote the house he is selling, and also a common reason of why someone would refuse to buy it. Funnily enough, we don't care about deaths occuring on it because most of us don't believe in ghosts, but we are a very backward society.
Probably those English teachers will teach english to the ghosts so that they can scare others once after the english teachers couldn’t handle the ghosts and leave the the stigmatized houses.

Yes, for the tragic death events, like suicide, murders, massacre, clearly the death that cause by forced/intentional, not in natural or unintentional way.

Billions of people have lived and died on earth, if ghosts were real you'd see em everyday. Gimme cheap estate
Ikr. But atleast we can take advantage of this.
Because most people move on to the afterlife. It also depends on how you died. If you die with resentment or regret, you leave behind negative energy
number rule one for buying a house: If it's way too cheap, it's either haunted or infested with bugs
King Moon I would take it either way, I can deal with both lol
why not both
Or has horrible neighbours.
I'd rather take haunted than bugs to be honest
Or the neighbours are gypsies. In my country having or not having gypsy neighbours is a common reason of why a seller would promote the house he is selling, and also a common reason of why someone would refuse to buy it. Funnily enough, we don't care about deaths occuring on it because most of us don't believe in ghosts, but we are a very backward society.

I used to live in a haunted room. My experiences is quite interesting. Stuff fell off by itself from the closet, shirt with hanger fell off from the hook. My vitamins in the bottle sound like somebody were shaking it. Water spill on my leg in my bed at night, it comes from no where. Stone inside the room like someone were throwing it from outside,my bed at my feet area were shaking like there is kids jumping around. I hear whistle in my ear everytime I'm about to fell asleep.

depends on how they died.
If they get slaughtered, murdered, suicide.
Yes, for the tragic death events, like suicide, murders, massacre, clearly the death that cause by forced/intentional, not in natural or unintentional way.
They are talking about unnatural deaths, genius!
@Joel Roy unnatural deaths as in suicide, murder etc. They haven't taken their life with will but due to some uncertainty
I remember my mom was interested in buying a super cool house for cheap, we did some research on it and found out there was consecutive deaths within the residence, we decided to still check it out and when I was walking around the door randomly shut super hard behind and there was no wind at all, I felt almost frozen with fear and all the hairs in body went up
So question what caused the deaths exactly?

Buy a ‘haunted house’ and rent it out as an Air BNB. Everyone wins!
yes until the renter complains about seeing "things" at night, experience the feeling of being watched, or feeling bone-chilling cold in summer
Im sure many people rent haunted places as AIr bnb, but mostly paranormal activity doesn’t occur everyday, and people who stay for a few days don’t even notice, or think that Certain sounds or things are normal
Make sure the tenants pay after the experience
