  • Just my thoughts on the recent firmware update to the DJM-S11. They made some cool additions to the mixer, but as you'll see in the video, a certain functionality seems to have been broken even more. Thanks for watching!

    Dopeness I appreciate it.
I'm looking for EFX updates. They should add some new ones like they have on some controllers

What's up fam. Thanks for commenting. I fixed the issue with the auto-bpm detection. I can't recall the settings I used right now, but I did get it working better. I agree, I'd like to see more FX on the unit as well. Some of the ones from the 900NXS miser would be cool as well. Peace and have a Happy New Year bro!

To be honest I don’t know why any one needs split cue on the mixer. The cue channel fader does a pretty good job as it is. But any improvement is a plus, I guess.

i mix in my headphones a lot - both at gigs and at home. Split Cue is invaluable for it.

Sometimes you want to have the audio separated on the left and right.
This is especially the case for those without monitors or mixing in headphones.
Having both mixed on both sides can make it a bit harder when mixing.
As he explains this in the video

@godsown dj turn down the phono attenuator in the settings and auto BPM will work fine for analog vinyl.

specifically turn it down to -4 or below

@@profbx5258 My mixer was set to -3 at the recording of this video. I tested it at -4 and it worked for a couple songs on the ATCQ record I mentioned in this video. -5 did not work as well. I'll test some more records at -4 and see if that works for me. Thanks for the input. L8r!

@@GODInTheWax444 It worked for me too, i reduced USB output to -10 and you need to make suret that crossfader is on same side( if its active) as track you want to get correct BPM.
