This is a very genre defying experience lol. This is not a survival mmo, its an extraction shooter. The devs should get into bussiness of making game trailers. The trailers look like the best game ever the actual game looks like a dumbed down escape from tarkov clone. This is not a $40 game its more on the $20 level at the most.

Devs need actually to pay you this 40$ and not ask for them, game is just empty af. Tbh, can't say that I'm surprised after all these bullshots which copied Division, Snowrunner, old trailer which was almost full copy of trailer of CoD Black Ops, etc.
Nobody likes bullet sponges especially in a zombie survival unless it's an armored or mutated zombie.
I miss the times when you bought a game and when you get home you put the disc on the console, turn it on and just play the damn whole game... simply as that.

And in the good ole days you didn’t simply play it until the end….You instead played it until the console got too hot and started smoking and you had to turn it off before the circuit board fried or caught on fire, then when it cooled down, you started all over. Who else remembers the sacred obsidian relic that is the Sega Genesis with the futuristic, demonic controller and the compact cartridges? And if you remember that, surely you remember the glory of defying gravity for days with Sonic and his buddy Tails. Street Fighter, Mortal Combat II(Melina and Kitana were the closest we got to any kind of porn hub, that is unless you dig deep enough in some forsaken closet and found a few stoic vhs tapes), crash bandicoot, Need for Speed, and the game that is anointed and hung on on history’s Great Wall, Goldeneye 007(multiplayer, all cheats activated, rocket launcher in one hand, rcp90 in the other)

This game is a scam rofl. They purposely lied for years about pretty much everything, then scrambled and put out a Division rip off game that has graphics that look 10-15 years old just as an effort to try and not get sued into oblivion...
Sadly this game ain't an open world instead a small extraction based game, early access game and the reviews on steam are overwhelmingly negative and for an early access game the day before is complete bare bone game incomplete. In short they should have not released the game at all.
The game turned out to be a huge joke honestly, nothing that is game changing, mechanics are mediocre at best a lot of issues probably the worst early access game of 2023, not worth it. I rather play DayZ, or World War Z or Days Gone or Dead Island 2 or Dying Light 2. Honestly this game is a huge pass for me.
I feel like you'd already made your mind up prior to release anyway.

I’ve never seen a game with so much ambiguity on whether it was a scam or not. Glad it turned out to be the latter.
Edit: ok so since the thread doesn’t quite understand what I mean I’ll lay it straight: when I say scam, I’m referring to the fact the game actually exists and wasn’t just a hodge podge of CGI footage that the devs made and would then run off with the cash. Like some have done in the past. That’s been the controversy surrounding it. Whether you like the game or not is your prerogative. Maybe it’ll get updated with more content, maybe it won’t. My comment is about the fact that it *exists* at all.

I refunded. 2 hours in, 1 hour spent in the lobby. I understand the disappointment that’s it’s not open world, but even as an extraction shooter this would be a good game.
THEY NEED TO FIX
- Connecting to servers
- Getting stuck everywhere (I had to leave a game for this and lost all progress, also reset my whole game after that upon joining a new server, absolutely insane.)
- Guns shouldn’t all feel the same
- the map needs more extract, in the city.
- Some items, especially quest items, are very easy to find, should be a little harder
- Add vaulting and melee
- Bodies should not despawn or at least, not that fast.
- Being very precise and holding F to open loot boxes is pretty annoying.
- As for me, player pop is okay, this is preference but I’m more of a PVE guy in these games, THIS NEEDS MORE ZOMBIES ON THE MAP.
Today I lost all progress after getting stuck inside a flower pot, couldn’t fu*king jump over it. I left that server, and then couldn’t join a new one because it would say there’s Connection issues. After finally joining, my whole progress reset and it restarted from the first cutscene with the doctor. At this point, I lost my shit. I’ve been waiting for this for years, and I repeat, this game has a great foundation. I hope they fix all this stuff. And I’d gladly buy it back in a few months.

Im at work so cant watch stuff properly but been scrolling through vids/popping onto streams and i am yet to see anything except for the inventory and walking around empty maps. I think they made history. The first ever zombie game with no melee. Obviously it's not as bad as the reviews coming out but they deserve it for all the false advertising and lies by omission. Question is, who lied more about their first release content, this game or No Man's Sky?
No man Sky actually had bad luck with their studio being flooded before release, and Sony screwed them over. I've been playing since NEXT, and they have been crushing it every single update.

It comes off as they played all these zombie games that had a special key element and they wanted to combine those elements into their ideal game - a vision I totally share with them. Perhaps though, they had unrealistic expectations about how soon they could deliver it. I'm willing to wait for that day, the little I've played of The Day Before I actually had a pretty fun time when I just accepted it as it currently is. It's a low investment, mindless pvp looter shooter. I look forward to what the game will hopefully evolve into over time.
