This video ment more to me than you can ever know! Im alone, and people walk all over me. They take advantage and melipulate me. I needed this more tjan you could ever know. Thankyou, Nick VanDeerLeak! You have opened my eyes that were closed by others! ❤
You’ve officially entered my subconscious mind! …Campbell, Tolkien, Van Gogh, and van der Leek in one incredible video - this is a good day! Going to re-listen to your Van Gogh series & reread The Hero with a Thousand Faces - thank you Nick for your content, you never disappoint!😊💜
Being alone is liberating and definitely not lonely for some. Its a place where you don’t have fear and anxiety, because you’ve earned resilience.Challenges continue to come, that’s when your resilience needs to be nourished and we grow some more, the cycle of life, supposedly.
I've become resilient but only with lots of self exploring. Learning to trust and believe in myself has been a tough road. Thank you Nick, this video was a powerful reminder.
In my little world where nothing is great, Barriers grow tall and rocks never break, I hold my chains close to my heart And, link by link, I break them apart. As my body weakens and old age advances, And discomfort grows to control my chances, I seek my freedom and forget my plight In the rhymes that dance where my soul takes flight.
IMO, feeling alive is when we die to ourselves and put others first. We were put on this earth to help our fellow man, not destroy them. This is how I feel most alive. 💖
" The human capacity for burden is like bamboo, far more flexible than you'd ever believe at first glance" Jodi Picoult : My Sisters Keeper Great insight ❤
I am loving your thought trails..I work from home -interior design working drawings and these intelectual deep dive who did and why discussions keep me feeling connected and gives sustenance..Thank you :-)
Bring the whole world "online".😊 What a lovely way to put it- What is past super resilience? ( I have my ideas, but I wonder if you are ready to hear them, lol) Vincent was in the process of understanding too. That's why he's a kindred spirit and why we love him.
Please do come back listen and ponder when you are ready. We are all encouraged to start the journey to the hero's journey, or perhaps we're somewhere beyond it. In any event, we still need eachother for the final touches on our vitality to burst forth . 😊
I just found this. Nice work. Sometimes you are ahead of the game so far, the threads to the start of it are lost. The writing you have done on Thomas Crooks has been brilliant.
Vincent is mesmerising. Van Gogh's the Chair has a seated bag of tobacco along side his pipe. The baggy is muslin because plastic was not a thing. A crescendo in space and time that draws you in and brings you near. Don McLean's song Starry Starry Night pays tribute, "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return", and "a silver thorn of bloody rose lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow'.
The story of Van Gogh and the Yellow House and how it later inspired Starry Night in his later years. If this is not a tale of resilience after the crushing betrayal and returning loneliness, then nothing is. Incidentally, Van Gogh has a fine Dutch name like Nick (and myself) and is one of my favourite painters.
This is a daily struggle we all face but think others do not because, you are right we don't have the courage to show our true selves. #nickvanderleekbooksareonamazon

Thanks Kelly. The idea was to reach deep into people's hearts and minds for a change. So much of true crime these days is superficial fluff.
Thank you
Thought provoking as always ❤
Thanks!
Welcome!
Joseph Campbell. Nice.
It's nice to get these encouraging teachings. I think you're spoiling us. Thank you for that. You are appreciated 😊
Could not have said it better.

Your analysis is hitting a little too close to home. I shall rewatch tomorrow when I may not be so triggered. I appreciate you
