Living in the 305 you can smoke all year round! That's awesome! NY, not so much. Replace parts on a brand new pellet smoker? Hell no! Good for you taking that smoker back. That's too much money to put up with that trouble.

It's one of the best decisions I've ever made because because pellets smoker tends to have more problems then any other smoker Like auger jams Electronics problem and a lot of maintenance and pellet smokers or grills are more expensive

That grill cover is excellent! How much time do you get from a 20lb tank? If you smoke for 8-10 hours with gas, do you get several smokes out of it? That Dyna-Glo is a workhorse!

If you get a propane gauge it will determine how much gas you have left, I smoke some ribs and chicken for 3 or 4 hours and I still have gas left

After a 12 hour cook at 225-250⁰f, I used 1.25 gallons of propane on the 43" dyna-glo smoker (it was about 60⁰f outside). I have had my smoker over two years, it is always covered when not in use and I live in Michigan. If it wasn't for the high winds on my deck in winter, I would use it all winter long for jerky and salmon. It holds extremely steady temperatures. I use 1-2 wood chunks each hour before wrapping.
