The laid back atmosphere that’s not quite “Back of House” but also not full on “we’re making a professional cooking video here so get serious!” is really relaxing. Perfect morning coffee watching with an idea for next weekend lunch. Great.
Awesome! 30 minutes is good, the interaction between Andy, Dazz, and Mitch is great. Sitting in Winter and -11C currently, this was a great idea for ideas to "bring back summer"
I hope that was Daz with the popups. That fkn rocked so hard mate, I was snorting laughter into my Pico de GAI-yo. One of my favourite things about this channel is that you're pretty chill and well-presented, especially Back of House, and then the timer starts and you're a wreck like the rest of us would be. Keep being human, bro, we love it.
This is awesome. I've been cooking in hotels, for the government and in retirement homes, wineries, pubs, restaurants and food trucks for 30 years. I love your style, method and manner.
My attention span is usually short but watching you under a time pressure was quite entertaining. It makes me know I can do this in a hour. Also, your interactions with Mitchell and Des are hilarious. I am in the Us and have Mexican food all the time. Yours looked delicious.
Love the live time counter with everyone getting involved. The tacos look incredible. Mouth is watering. I’d love to see the whole crew tucking into the food at the end!
I love the different lengths. I know you revolve around the algorithm, but it's just like cooking. sometime its 20mins, some times is many days/parts. Love your work team
the longer videos are excellent whether this style or the running through X number of good ways to make X food, are all lovely! the more Andy and crew the better
Time length preference: 3-4 days would be cool. Something I can put on and watch for a whole week, with breaks for sleep (I work from home, so it can just play while I'm proofreading).
I would love it if yall posted more videos longer than 30 mins. One of my favorite channels and the long ones will feed me plump since yall dont upload often. Much love, Andy n crew.
Andy! Yes chef! you nailed it in the time you set yourself and they looked amazing! A happy team meal day! As far as video lengths go, it's always good to have a mixture of times, personally any thing much longer than half an hour can be too long. Peace and ❤ to all involved!
Loved this. Very relaxed atmosphere with your team. I just got back from the Baja. 18 taco stands in 8 days, and I'd still eat these ones now! And I would say 35 - 45 mins is a perfect RUclips video.
Loved it, I'm off to order the cabbage peeler. I am impressed with the timing, that would be an outstanding starter for many guests while finishing up the main and sides on a kettle grill, fantastic.
Andy the GOAT of RUclips chefs and a master at articulating! Your videos are fantastic! How about showing us how to whip up some tantanmen ramen? Cheers from Switzerland
You could read the dictionary for an hour and I’d watch because this and Back of House are my favorite channels with the best team! Entertaining and informative as always!
I'm so impressed that you don't lick your fingers while preparing food. So many TV and You Tube presenters do and it's a Terrible Message. Love your shows. ❤🎉
11:24 you haven’t been to Mexico but if you want great food, Mexico City and Oaxaca are the best! I looked up La Tortillería and the pictures and menu look authentic!
Great job! Just call the "over done" tortillas are tostada shells😂 Can i suggest making lingua? AKA beef tongue. As far as pronunciation, tom-a-tillo is Thoum-aww-theo, at least in Texas. Thoum = merging thumb and tome.
Another ripper production. Under the pump and he comes up with the goods!! Top work son!! Proving a few skills, patience and some quality ingredients means a tasty dish.
The only reason us Western Australians are obsessed with avocados is because we're the only ones who can afford them, what with house prices over East being what they are!
If you overcook the tortillas, just keep going a little bit more, make them tostadas and use yhe same filling, add the crema and salsa on top and you are good to go! Awesome video
Yep nice one! You asked what we would like to see? How about some classic French dishes? I love the rustic, basic, farmhouse style of .... let's say Coq au Vin for starters.
Mexicans would insist on a touch of grated cheese.🧡but the grilled pineapple tomatillo salsa is unique! Love it, thank you, Chef. They would also serve it with a wedge of lime; yes, even with salsa.
Every time you cook, it makes me so hungry. Shrimp tacos are my favorite. Spent 11 years in Cali, 15 years in Texas before that, and I miss the good tacos for sure. Can you do canolli?
Those tacos looked great. With Christmas fast approaching and summer already here can you do another salad video? I saw one where someone grated a frozen rock solid tomato over a burrata and finished with olive oil and sea salt. Really simple but I would love so see your take on it.
Video was great, a little bit of lime juice will help the pinaple char quicker no idea why but it dose, also if anyone dosenot like pinaple the same recipie would be amazing with some chared mango!
I love then you brake the 4 wall. And talk to them behind the camera. Give them a mic and make all your Videos like this one. And to make the longer videos a bit longer is a realy good idé.😊
just stop talking and go restaurant speed! 😝I'll still enjoy watching! Edit: and the best tortillas I've ever had were handmade by a Mexican grandma at a taco stand in downtown San Jose, formed by hand too so the thickness was a bit uneven and it was so delicious. We have a very underrated food scene because people don't realize we have so many immigrants. I tried Burmese food recently, the beef curry blew my mind. And not just great Mexican food, great Chinese food, Filipino food, Vietnamese food, Indian food, and probably some more I didn't think of.
Andrew you didn't put lime juice in the Creme Fraiche, nor does the acid doesn't come from the cabbage! We have 2 of those fancy peelers(I didn't even know what they were for until I saw your short) & I can assure you my Wife wouldn't have paid anywhere near $12 for them!😅 To all the people banging on about Tomatillos & Tortillas, that's how they're pronounced in Australia! Just like Prawns - Shrimp are little things we keep in Fish Tanks!(Aquariums)
Love the content Andy, can’t wait to have a go at these. Side note: is everyone being sent a pepper cannon now? Seeing them everywhere! Is it really worth the cost?
2 things....I'm an aussie and I'm not a big fan of avocado. Secondly, thanks for the celiac call out. I was about to check on my phone if corn tortillas are gf and you saved me. Cheers 🙂
Absolutely love this form of video! The casual banter with the bts crew is really fun too
Thank you! We have a lot of fun making these videos
I agree.
👌🏻👌🏻

The constant pop ups when he says tomatillos are hilarious
surprised they didn't do one on the jalapeenos 😂
im not entiely sure it wasnt deliberate, he says it so much xD
I hope that was Daz with the popups. That fkn rocked so hard mate, I was snorting laughter into my Pico de GAI-yo.

I can’t stop laughing. But I’m also watching this after an edible and those pop ups have me cracking up
Bit of lime juice on your avocado will keep it from going brown
Love how chef moves in the kitchen, mechanical but with purpose and care...great vid
Cheers, glad you enjoyed the vid!
@andy_cooks loved the video just FYI: I didn't have the option to make a proper comment-only reply
Don't want you to miss out on anything (?)
This is awesome. I've been cooking in hotels, for the government and in retirement homes, wineries, pubs, restaurants and food trucks for 30 years. I love your style, method and manner.
thank you!
Re: cabbage peeler... I just ordered one... I make sauerkraut... his is gonna be a big help... thank you, Andy!
Yess! Sauerkraut is the first thing I thought of 😁
Sauerkraut is great. Kimchi too.
My attention span is usually short but watching you under a time pressure was quite entertaining. It makes me know I can do this in a hour. Also, your interactions with Mitchell and Des are hilarious. I am in the Us and have Mexican food all the time. Yours looked delicious.
Really enjoyed the 30 minute style vid format, great looking recipe will make this week.
Awesome! Thank you!
Mate, you could make a 3 hour video, and we would still watch
I was just about to comment that!
Love the longer videos, more content for us
Absolute facts. Would watch this guy cooking for 5 hours and I'd still want more
the longer videos are excellent whether this style or the running through X number of good ways to make X food, are all lovely! the more Andy and crew the better
The people are very happy with whatever time you need to make such great food!
Getting absolutely rinsed by his own team for the tom-a-tillows 😂
Love that he says tortillas correctly though lol. Gotta love it.
Love the humour and sarcasm. Keeps us engaged! 😊
Time length preference: 3-4 days would be cool. Something I can put on and watch for a whole week, with breaks for sleep (I work from home, so it can just play while I'm proofreading).
D'oh! And missed the extra point at the end! 2 tortillas, Andy! Twoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! ;) :P
Also also, DEFINITELY getting tacos from Buford Farmer's Market today. Best tacos in Atlanta (if you ask me).
@@wiltchamberlain9920 no one asked
the team banter ws great. Also, that looked delicious. Great job!

Yum looks like thats what Im cooking for dinner tomorrow. You are a phenomenal chef Andy
Perfect! Let me know how they go
I still can't get over the outdoor kitchen setup. Inspiring as always chef!
Loved this. Very relaxed atmosphere with your team. I just got back from the Baja. 18 taco stands in 8 days, and I'd still eat these ones now! And I would say 35 - 45 mins is a perfect RUclips video.
Thanks. Looks really amazing. Mexican foods are the best food in the world.
I love your videos and specifically how natural it is. Thanks keep it up
Thanks for watching mate!
I agree with you 👌🏻
Loved the natural cooking and banter. Results I could imagine here and it has inspired me to try this asap.
How interesting, good luck 🌺
Great video! Love that everyone was involved! Length, don't care! Next to make calabacitas!
Loved it, I'm off to order the cabbage peeler. I am impressed with the timing, that would be an outstanding starter for many guests while finishing up the main and sides on a kettle grill, fantastic.
❤ we like you Andy, never fear. ❤❤❤
These look beautiful, i don't eat prawns, but Hubby will enjoy 🎉🎉🎉
Andy the GOAT of RUclips chefs and a master at articulating! Your videos are fantastic! How about showing us how to whip up some tantanmen ramen? Cheers from Switzerland
My dude. This looks GREAT!
Really chef timing. All ingredients found, cleaned and set out ready to use. Good work.
Always good to see a Chef eat their own food and give an honest review. 👍
Long form is great, always enjoy seeing the recipe start to finish
Looks delish! I prefer any video you guys put out! 🤌💯🤘
You could read the dictionary for an hour and I’d watch because this and Back of House are my favorite channels with the best team! Entertaining and informative as always!
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Andy Cooks is my favourite aussie chef!
thanks legend
Skip La Tortilleria and hightail it to El Columpia in Fitzroy. 🇲🇽
I'm so impressed that you don't lick your fingers while preparing food. So many TV and You Tube presenters do and it's a Terrible Message. Love your shows. ❤🎉
Love the captions. Tacos de camarón comes out as Tacos day Cameroon. Shrimp tacos are awesome.
I'd add a sprinkle of salt on the avo. Good stuff!
Ok
So
That's a total yum!
And lots of helpful information to boot.
Thanks Andy and crew.
i love short vids, i love long vids. I'll watch movie length vids Chef, so whatever you're comfortable with giving us
I would definitely rather use flat parsley.
Love the peeler !!!! My next tool. Plus your scraper, lunch tote.
11:24 you haven’t been to Mexico but if you want great food, Mexico City and Oaxaca are the best! I looked up La Tortillería and the pictures and menu look authentic!
Corn or flour is regional but crossover happens, for seafood corn is the favored for texture. Great video!
Great job! Just call the "over done" tortillas are tostada shells😂
Can i suggest making lingua? AKA beef tongue.
As far as pronunciation, tom-a-tillo is Thoum-aww-theo, at least in Texas.
Thoum = merging thumb and tome.
love lengua!
Serás bienvenido aunque digas tomatilos ^_^
great work on the tacos🍤
Andy *hearting* this is his way of saying "MOO-chass GRASSY-ass" I'm sure.
Another ripper production.
Under the pump and he comes up with the goods!! Top work son!! Proving a few skills, patience and some quality ingredients means a tasty dish.
What should have happened: Andy: "Hey Daz, start a timer for 30 minutes". Daz: "I'm not siri, mate" LOLs 🙂
"I'ma gonna take a nap" was the cherry on top at the end of the video 🤣
The only reason us Western Australians are obsessed with avocados is because we're the only ones who can afford them, what with house prices over East being what they are!
That looks absolutely spot on! I could eat a dozen!
If you overcook the tortillas, just keep going a little bit more, make them tostadas and use yhe same filling, add the crema and salsa on top and you are good to go! Awesome video
It's one of my favourite videos. Well done!
❤❤❤❤.
Awesome recipe & one to remember Andy 👍🙌
You’ll put Old El Paso out of business posting recipes like this one! Haha 😜
Yep nice one! You asked what we would like to see? How about some classic French dishes? I love the rustic, basic, farmhouse style of .... let's say Coq au Vin for starters.
Excellent video Chef! Like you? We Love You!! ❤ And your entire team!❤
I love Avocado! I grew up in southern California, Mexican food is the best
Yum and simple. This is getting done multiple times this summer!
Can’t wait to make this ! Yum
1:50 “ fresh is always best in my opinion “ referring to garlic
1:02 - uses dried oregan … 😂
I wanna drink a beer with this man one day. So much good wisdom I could learn
He doesn’t drink
Lets make a hapening with BBQ and just non alcohole drinks.
Mexicans would insist on a touch of grated cheese.🧡but the grilled pineapple tomatillo salsa is unique! Love it, thank you, Chef. They would also serve it with a wedge of lime; yes, even with salsa.
Knew you could do it Andy! Great finish and great recipe!
Loved it! The countdown made me nervous but you did it. I really want one of those tacos right now!
Every time you cook, it makes me so hungry. Shrimp tacos are my favorite. Spent 11 years in Cali, 15 years in Texas before that, and I miss the good tacos for sure.
Can you do canolli?
I have a short on cannoli that i posted only two weeks ago
I had the prawn taco's in Margaret Rive they where AWESOME so where the chips Andy and Katelyn are fantastic people.
Tomatillos grow easily anywhere you can grow tomatoes so, most aussie backyards
Yeah but where on earth do you get seeds/seedlings? I’m in WA and we have sweet sh*t all
@shannonkatereadsstuff ah, I've been able to buy them online but I understand the difficulties of getting some seeds to WA
@ I found a place in Perth! Wendys seeds and they have heaps of cool
Stuff!
Great video! One of my favourites!
When in Puerto Vallarta, go to Marisma, fish taco stand. best shrimp and fish tacos, ceviche.
Noice. Grilled pineapple salsa would go nicely with some surf'n'turf innit
Delicious 👌🏻
I dunno if these timer things really count when you don't count assembling the mis en plas, but the tacos still look great Chef Andy!
Andy and Volkanovski collab would be so epic. Appreciate your videos
Those tacos looked great. With Christmas fast approaching and summer already here can you do another salad video? I saw one where someone grated a frozen rock solid tomato over a burrata and finished with olive oil and sea salt. Really simple but I would love so see your take on it.

This is remarkably entertaining ❤
The tacos look so good great job chef.
I love then you brake the 4 wall.
And talk to them behind the camera.
Give them a mic and make all your Videos like this one.
And to make the longer videos a bit longer is a realy good idé.😊
Love these videos with the time challenge.
I think half an hour is perfectly fine for a good recipe video :D
-5 outside, snowing...I've gotta make my version of this...off to the store! Thanks Andy! 🤪
I think they'll still be pretty tasty in -5 weather
I like the longer videos. Thank you
Y’all are amazing! Thanks for the highlight! 😂
Tacos are fun and so was your video 🥰🥰
just stop talking and go restaurant speed! 😝I'll still enjoy watching!

Amazing, thanks Chef!
You need to try some Puerto Rican dishes! Arroz con gandules, bacalaito, tostones, pollo guisado. Just to name a few suggestions.
Andrew you didn't put lime juice in the Creme Fraiche, nor does the acid doesn't come from the cabbage! Just like Prawns - Shrimp are little things we keep in Fish Tanks!(Aquariums)
I wanna see more of the eating, and the crew eating the tacos at the end
loved it all!!
nice one chef. give us a top 3 things to do with beef cheeks on the bbq or on 3 different heatsources
Andy- Thanks for making pineapple salsa because I'm allergic to mangos.
Just love the videos and the food ❤❤
Love the content Andy, can’t wait to have a go at these.
Side note: is everyone being sent a pepper cannon now? Seeing them everywhere! Is it really worth the cost?
😋 Yum
If y’all ever want some Mexican seafood hacks, try an ingredient called achiote paste. On a grilled fish it’s a game changer.
2 things....I'm an aussie and I'm not a big fan of avocado. Secondly, thanks for the celiac call out. I was about to check on my phone if corn tortillas are gf and you saved me. Cheers 🙂
Bloody good video. I love your outdoor kitchen setup! Being a builder I might copy it if that's ok.(for my own house) who made the BBQ/grill. 👍👍👍
love the long videos!
