    We all know that GBB guns sucks really bad during cold weather, however have you ever wondered what happened inside a gas gun's magazine at the moment? How does it work with all the tiny parts inside? In this episode we chopped 3 pistols in half just to find out how it really works in real life instead of showing the 3D models, and we also created this clear gas container that really explains what happened inside a gas gun's magazine.
    This episode was the hardest one to film so far, during the time we end up refiling the whole story 4 times and rewriting the script 8 times while with Andrew's right hand broken........
    so please, help us to support the channel by hitting that subscribe bottom and ring the little bell, this would really mean a lot to us, and we got a whole lot more mythbusting to share with you all!

    When I was younger I had been gifted a new GBB pistol for my birthday and also had the opportunity to go to my first airsoft field to use it, I was very disappointed when we got there and began to battle because my GBB pistol malfunctioned in spewed gas everywhere, this was because my birthday was in December and it was extremely cold outside as a result. I learned a very very valuable lesson to use GBB only during the summer.

    I wonder, how does inner barrel diameter, length, BB quality and choice of hop setup (rhop, flat hop, standard hop) affect range and groupings? We have not seen an analysis done in a methodical and scientific way like you guys do, it would be great to see it done so we can finally see if rhop/flat hop is still worth it now Maple Leaf are making buckings which basically do this already (MR bucking)

    • @4UADSmartAirsoft

    Duude can you try 100 meter sniper testing, what kind of bb weight to use, barrel diameter, hop type, barrel length and more. See how heavier bbs carry their energy further than light bbs. a 500 fps 0.20 will go faster, but loose its energy much faster than the 0.4 bb traveling at 350 fps, which does not slow down as fast, and travels further

    按讚啦!哪次不按的
    想請問AEG跟GBB在相同彈重初速時,GBB適合打更重的子彈,而動能不會衰退太多,是否因其動力為膨脹的瓦斯,在管內能比壓縮空氣對子彈有更好的加速性,時下許多人GBB搭配重彈使用,是否皆因此說法?

    • @4UADSmartAirsoft
      @4UADSmartAirsoft  3 года назад +1

      哈哈哈謝謝哥的支持! 電動槍是以機構式的空氣壓縮每次出來就是固定的氣量相對動能一開始就設定好了,瓦斯槍則是氣體會持續擴張(包含在槍管裡面)也因此氣量會比電槍來的有效率,所以配上重彈能吸收更多的動能。不過這些目前都還算是理論,我們也還有研究這一塊~之後應該就會拍出來了哈哈哈

    Not a GBB myth, but I would love a comparison of different barrel widths. To make it perfectly fair I would suggest lapping all the barrels to get an equal internal finish.
    Barrel dimension list I would like to see is:
    5.98mm edgi
    6.00mm edgi
    6.01mm edgi
    6.02mm zci
    6.03mm lambda
    6.04mm maple leaf
    6.05mm orga or pdi
    6.06mm magicbox
    6.07mm cyma

    What if you put your empty GBB magazines in the fridge before filling them? Would they be filled as good as a propane gas container?

    • @4UADSmartAirsoft
      @4UADSmartAirsoft  3 года назад

      At low temperature you can fill a lot more liquid gas into the magazine, however this would cause the mag have less space for the liquid gas to evaporate and this would result liquid gas spitting out from the first few shots and all the pressure would be gone because of the extreme low temperature. In conclusion, they will be as good, but the performance would just be as bad :D

    Some form of slosh baffles in magazines might help performance as well 🤔

    • @4UADSmartAirsoft
      @4UADSmartAirsoft  3 года назад

      Many reason can happen, sometimes there could be a leakage in your air nozzle, sometimes it’s just the pressure inside the mag prevents the liquid from entering the mag. For that case press the gas release valve and charge gas for one sec and stop pressing the valve and charge the gas again, it would charge more liquid gas into it! Hope this helps

      I would say good starter guns can be Action army aap01/ WE glock/ Marui glock/ VFC Glock / Marui Hicapa. Those are all really popular pistols with many after market parts. I would say for a beginner pick something that many people use, this way when you run into problems it becomes a lot easier to solve them!

      I used two different gasses so far, the Nuprol Red Gas which worked really well outside in colder temperatures kicked very hard once I played indoors and the gas I bought for indoors didn't work well outside, it didn't have alot of kick and it was really inefficient because it released a ton of vapour.

      My Tokyo Marui plastic slided pistols work wonderfully in the cold. Every other brands I've used in the cold has been meh at best, or just plain didn't work. My TM 1911A1 on green gas shoots much better in the cold than CO2 pistols, which is really funny, considering how small the magazine is. A light slide, weaker springs and great engineering really makes a difference.

    • @4UADSmartAirsoft
      @4UADSmartAirsoft  Год назад +1

      It really depends on how gas efficient your gbb is. A regular gas bottle would provide roughly 30-50 charges for me, and usually for a handgun it can fire 30-40 shots before you have to refill again. And for my rifle it’s around 50-80shots. Hope this helps in someway. Best of luck!

    Unbelievable great channel, these are topics we've discussed a million times but no one (afaik) made them in such a practical and scientific way. Would love to see how other gases compare, e.g. propane (green gas) vs map pro / red gas (propene), especially which is their pressure at a given temperature.
    Running Map Pro I've managed to run my guns at -2ºC, which is about as cold as it gets down here.

    Only GBB rifles I've ever run without issues were the WE G39 (G36), TM MWS, and the GHK AKs (though, they struggle on occasion). Most people's experience is with sub-par WEs. That being said, can't beat the reliability and performance per dollar of an AEG. That being said, the big gas reservoir of the WE G36 is fucking amazing and it chugs better than almost anything. I used to have an m-16 looking air pump style bb gun that fired only single shots. I fired steel/brass bbs with that thing and used it to kill little critters and pests in our family backyard and garden area. Just like "A Christmas Story" where the boy is always asking for a red ryder bb gun. Santa says, "You'll shoot your eye out kid". So bb guns really aren't just "a toy" and should be always treated carefully.
    Even unloaded without any bbs. Just the air pressure coming out of the muzzle could blow your hand off if you put your hand over it or push it against any of your body parts. So highly recommend not to point the muzzle at anything not considered a target, even when unloaded.

    • @4UADSmartAirsoft
      @4UADSmartAirsoft  3 года назад

      Yep we should all treat BB guns like they were real firearms, this is the only way to be responsible to this hobby and the sport!

    Do you think it will be possible to see one day a sort of "HPA magazine" ? Like an HPA bottle but has the shape of a mag so it can be filled with 3000psi of HPA with a build in regulator... It would be so perfect : the performance of HPA with the realism of the Gas system...
    Can this could be real ? In term of security, materials, price,... :)
