Wow that might be the best Hinderer collection in the world! Very cool, I especially like the 3rd to last one, the “satin aggressor” tanto-bowie. The scale, standoffs, clip, everything is beautiful. But the blade shape is what really got my attention. A tanto that resembles a Bowie, Incredible! I would love to see that in regular production. Yeah bro the brand is on fire atm… Rick will drop knives 2 to 3 times a week on his website, usually the bfpu and lasered productions move lightning fast but normal production sit for a few minutes to hours! Also follow usamadeblade on Instagram, Scott will get a shipment of Hinderers multiple times a week.

I've been trying to score a Hinderer XM-18 or Eklipse for longest time now. I even got into it over e-mail with customer service.. they referred to me to "dealer list page". I just refuse to pay e-bay scalper prices for knives that are unreasonably jacked up. It's bad practice in the knife community in my opinion.

So, just got my first Hinderer in years, had sold off the collection keeping just a few Sebenza, but have a clone I beat the heck out of that was sold as legit but ended up keeping per seller request after getting a refund. Well, your cards Eklipse Tanto sold me, and my Tanto triway just arrived. It’s used but was supposedly cleaned and oiled with nano oil by seller before shipping. It flips and locks with authority but takes some effort and I feel the detent sticks… it’s impossible to open with a thumb flick. I cant even get the blade to open if pushing with thumb and swinging gravity style. I used to prefer non-flickers so know this is not the norm and sad my clone is better. Never owned one with the removable lockbar tab so maybe there’s adjustment needed? tried cleaning but no luck, but can somewhat open lefty as it pushes away from the lockbar. Any tips? Almost looks like detent in blade is deeper/off center, and a bit disappointing in the action as currently it’s on bearings. Happy I can use with flicker tab but any tips you have would be greatly appreciated
The new triway system with lockbar insert have very strong detents, I can’t thumb flick them open. Gen 4 detent was very soft and most of the community complained that it was too soft and not crisp enough. Unfortunately there’s not much you can do to make it better… action should be great on bearings though, I mean once you break that detent with the flipper the blade should just fly out. Make sure you don’t have the pivot too tight, blade should drop shut easily on bearings. If you’re looking for a thumb flipper then I’d trade for a nonflipper model. Their detent is much softer and you’ll be able to thukb flick it
Thank you! I have never owned a crk but have handled one and they are very nice, Striders are pretty cool too, I went through that phase a few years ago. I just love how customizable the Hinderers are and the group of friends I’ve made from collecting all these years
@@scpete28 Thanks. Ya, I gave up all hope of buying one at retail price. I finally found a nice one on eBay that was only $100 over retail, so I went for it. It's a wharncliffe which is pretty sweet. After months of searching, it's definitely now my favorite knife that I own. I'd like to get a Bowie at some point too.
