MATERIALS :
FOR ALL SIZES
- A pair of scissors
- A yarn needle (optional)
- A stitch marker (or bobby pin, piece of scrap yarn, paper clip...)
- Some polyester stuffing
JUMBO YARN VERSION
- I used Hobbii - Amigo Giga colours Neon Green & Cast Iron
- Crochet hook: 6.50 mm
- Eyes : 16 mm
CHUNKY YARN VERSION (the one used for this tutorial)
- I used Hobbii - Amigo Chunky colours Bright Red & Black
- Crochet hook: 4.50 mm
- Eyes : 14 mm
WORSTED WEIGHT YARN
- I used Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn in Red Hot & Black
- Crochet hook: 3.50 mm
- Eyes : 10 mm

life hack: if you want to make bigger ones with out upping the stitch count just use really chunky yarn lol
So if I use this pattern with a bigger hook and bigger yarn it should be the same just larger correct?!? Because I want to make a large plushie lady bug that looks just like this pattern!

That’s not a magic ring.. that’s a slip knot, but I love this lady bug! Cute!
Yes, just like I said in the video.. I’m not showing the magic ring here. I’m showing the ch 2 technique to make it easier for beginners. And like I said, if you know how to make a magic ring, you can make it and then make 6 sc in it 🙌
Pattern:
Black yarn:
R1.Mr, sc x6 (6)
R2. Inc x6 (12)
R3. Sc, inc x6 (18)
R4-R5. sc x18 (18)
Add eyes and blush
switch to red
R6. Sl st x18 (18)
R7. Sc 3, inc 3, sc 6, inc3, sc3 (24)
R8-R11. Sc x24 (24)
Add stuffing
Antenna:
R1. Sk, ch 3
R2. Sl st on 2nd and first st
Repeat 2x and assemble
Back on the red yarn:
R12. Sc 2, dec x6 (18)
R13. Dec x9 (9)
close the opening and add dots by french knots or pins
Abbreviations:
Sc- Single crochet
Mr- Magic Ring
Inc- Increase
Sk- Slipknot
Ch- Chain
Dec- Decrease
