thank you ! I was ready to toss this thing in the trash bin. The default settings were choking me most nights to the point where I had my old machine set back up next to it. Now I have some control over the settings and maybe can make use of it.
Thank you so much. The doc set it at 8 and ramp to 18 and I could even breath at 18. I quit using it. I adjusted the values according to your instructions. Will try tonight.
I don't know about the rest of you, but my sleep doctor has been absolutely USELESS. I understand they require your feedback to adjust treatment to your needs, but from the beginning, they've been asking me what type of mask I want and what pressure I would like the machine set at. This is after an overnight study where they are allegedly collecting data about what works and doesn't work for me, so why are they asking me, a new patient, for the solution out of the gates as if I know? My CPAP experience thus far (6 months) has been absolutely terrible to the point where I've dreaded using the machine because it's outright uncomfortable or ineffective and every time I've gone for visits, they see me for 30 seconds, and despite telling them the pressure and mask are uncomfortable, they have done nothing to improve the situation. This video is hopefully the start to a new beginning where I'm in charge and can play with the settings properly to find what works for me without having to keep shelling money over to a complacent doctor. I would have gladly paid you the thousand plus it's cost me this far just for this advice and would have felt I received more value.
I have had several sleep doctors and DME suppliers; the support you get is basically useless. That is, until you have someone helping you WHO HAS SLEEP APNEA AND USES A MACHINE. The help i have received from Yes CPAP in Singapore has been outstanding in this regard!
Sir! You are a Miracle Worker‼️ I have had so much trouble that had NO sensible ways to help in instructing book that comes with machine. Thanks how to get into the pressure adjuster Doctor. God has blessed you! 🧡
The algorithm on these machines need work. The pressure will "jump around" at times when you're breathing on the unit. Anyone else with these type of issues/ If so, any suggestions?
Thank you for this video! Hesitant to make any changes just yet but definetly feel like I need a higher min pressure, nice to know I don't have to call the dang sleep clinic to change that.
First I'd like to say that I love your videos. You're very personable and the information is relevant. I am writing because I was wondering if you are aware of anyone or company who has reached out to resVent about their horrible software and the inability to use apps like SleepHQ, OSCAR, etc. I really want my data and I will most likely return the iBreeze because of their lack of good analytic software or access to the data. --- Thanks again for keeping the community informed bro.
I just bought the ibreeze CPAP. During the initial setup, I entered the wrong date into the system. Now it won’t allow me to adjust the date. I get the message “ Time setting cannot exceed from the last report time” . How can I reset the date? Thanks.
I'm new to this as my machine starts I have it set for a lower pressure for about 60 minutes cause it takes about that amount of time for me to fall asleep but my technician has it set a little to in high in pressure after that 60 minutes My question is is it normal for my lungs to hurt a little!? Please get back to me
I had a similar feeling- like lungs were "stretched out" . Not really painful , but uncomfortable. Pressure was too high. Ask your Dr about lowering pressure. Sleep lab usually goes on the high side of your pressures (based on wiping all episodes out.) Amything 5 or below is normal, so you may have some "wiggle" room.
Is using a high pressure dangerous or what? The "technician" set it at 10 cmH_2O and he'll check it 6 months from now. Honestly, I don't care about any discomfort (since I already can't keep a continuous sleep at night due to the tubes and the mask hurting me!), so I'm wondering if increasing it is not a stupid idea, aka if I won't sound like an imbecile if I ask that to the technician (just increasing it myself wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't a public health-bound thing and I'm supposed to follow the rules...) Btw, has anyone managed to get a custom firmware on this? The SD card is surprisingly unprotected and any file is unencrypted, allowing for some settings to cause a buffer overflow, but I don't have the patience to see if it's exploitable (seriously, the SD card handle hurts A LOT when trying to pull it out). Does anyone know what its OS is based on? If it's the Linux kernel, it would be fun to play some Mario on it /s
Had iBreeze for 1 month, Took it back and got Airsense 11. Did not like iBreeze. Their platform was horrible. Sub Par machine. Bottom line……you get what you pay 💰💰for!
My iBreeze cost $2200. I wouldn't say that is cheap. The Aire10 was much cheaper; but i do wonder if the APAP mode, which delivers a pressure that "wobbles" can induce arrhythmia. I am abandoning my Aire10 AutoSet For Her because i believe it can induce, or aggravate, cardiac issues or create a sensitivity i.e. drive "palpitations" in the APAP mode. If you turn the machine on and put your hand near the nasal pillows or cannula, you will notice that there is a "pressure differential" in APAP mode (i.e. a quick start/stop/pulsing sort of thing).

Great job!
Very informative and straight forward for myself who is new to cpap

Thanks. That was useful information that I can use.
Nice one Poe, that's great

This is excellent, i just received my machine and cannot wait to try it tonight, thank you for such an informative easy to understand video 😀
Thank you for this explanation! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for the explanation and guidance. I was struggling with the setting and my ENT doctor was of no help at all.

G'day mate, this is true. I think they all do to be honest. I'm going to start recommending people change to fixed pressure modes. Cheers
Well done. Thank you.
Thanks for the video!
Great video! Just set the machine up and I hope it is better tonight than it has been Kind of a bugar to get this thing set up.
thank you ! i couldn't figure out how to get the pressure up. now i can experiment for a perfect setting.
Thank you for this video! Hesitant to make any changes just yet but definetly feel like I need a higher min pressure, nice to know I don't have to call the dang sleep clinic to change that.
Thanks Nick!!
Welcome buddy

I love you, thank you
Appreciate information
My pleasure
Thank you for doing this
Thank you so much
Awesome video
Looks like you can get into and out of the BIPAP machine Doc Menu the same way. Say hello to Ozzie Man for me.
Are you using your PC to control your CPAP? Thank you for your very useful information.

Is the APAP mode similar to ASV?
Thanks
can this be done online through res assist?
is that ibreeze auto or fixed ?

Got new dream station the cmh20 was set at 90% ajust'ed to 20% big difference, dry mouth kinda went away.

Got that right!
A lot of people can’t afford those machines
