    Slept last night with it and felt great this morning when I got up. It is easy to setup and use. I was impressed by the User Manual. Yes, the humidifier is a little difficult to pull out. In addition, the hose can be a little stubborn to get out. All in all, so far so good. One final note, it is quieter then my AirSense 10 that I had to send in for repairs.

    I've been a CPAP patient for over 7 years. The motor on my old machine burned out after I had been waiting almost 18 months to get a new ResMed. So, I was forced to go with the IBreeze. It is a cheaply built P.O.S. Initially I had to work on the place where the power cord plugs in because a piece of wire was bent over and you couldn't plug power into it. Now no one seems to have an answer for why I'm experiencing pressure surges before I even go to sleep that are so strong they push the mask off my face. Then after that I have to fight to breathe as it feels like there is suction on the mask from the machine. Brand new it is noiser than my 7 year old with the motor going out ResMed. The hose is cheap and feels more like some sort of toy hose for a barbie doll house. The Humidity tank doesn't hold enough water for a good nights sleep and you can't even use the auto start and auto stop functions. It may have a bunch of features but trust me when I say they are truly useless. I'm going to pay for a ResMed out of my pocket because I can't get my insurance company to do anything about the fact that the IBreeze is a cheap piece of junk that should have never been sold to me or anyone else. It's worth the $1500 dollars to get rid of this horrible piece of junk. Shame on this guy for even help to pitch such a piece of junk. It's obvious he's not a patient and doesn't have to use this junk machine.

      Thanks for your feedback Cliff. It may be a good idea to reach out to your provider and suggest education on the new machine and a walk through on all the features. There are some comfort features (flex comfort pressure relief) that can reduce your EPAP for easier exhalation. Hope things work out

Even the "CPAP mode" it has seems to be an outright lie as it will still alter the pressure of its own accord and push the mask off my face.

      I have had this machine since Feb 22. I replaced my recalled Phillips.
      This is a POS machine. It flutters and stutters when I am using it. My DME is incompetent and tests the machine and says it is putting out the correct pressure.
      It connected to my wifi to relay data and that worked for about one month. Now it won't connect to WiFi and my DME will not warranty it, because wifi connection is a "luxury". For a $1200 machine, that is BS.
      LinnCare is my DME, only because there is no one else in my local ares. They are the worse DME I have had in nearly 20 years of CPAP use.

    Great review. What do you think of this device versus the resmed device?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 года назад +1

      ResMed devices aren't new to the market and are a reputable manufacture. Most sleep specialist are familiar with ResMed and have an easier time pulling compliance and data from the ResMed units. Since Ibreeze is fairly new, I wouldn't compare the two as the Ibreeze needs more time in the market to provide more feedback.

    I've been using this machine for over a week now and I still am suffering from closed airway sleep apnea. Even though the screen reads CPAP it is "not a cpap machine", this is very much a BiPAP machine. The air pressure is not steady, it continuously stops while your exhaling and tries to measure how much your inhaling and exhaling. If you try to exhale more than inhale you could choke a bit because it wont let you exhale more than it wants to let you. This is due to the Intelligent Pressure Release (IPR).
    While the humidity is set to auto I keep having to drain the hose of excess water every morning.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 года назад

      I am sorry to hear you may be struggling with your PAP device and therapy. My suggestion would be to contact your provider to pull up your compliance data and see if you can make some therapy changes.
      Rain out in the tube can be caused by position of the tube, if it is dangling between your night stand table and bed, moisture may be pooling in the U of your hose. Also since the iBreeze doesn't have a heated tubing, you may want to purchase a hose wrap, here is a link for a generic one: www.respshop.com/cpap-supplies/tubing/resmed-tubing-wrap-p-196.html.

    This is my first CPAP (APAP) machine and I have been using it for three nights now along with a nasal cradle mask. My physician set the pressure to only 5. But, I cannot go to sleep while using this machine. The inhalation/exhalation sounds are keeping me awake, and I also feel almost like I am being forced to breathe in an out in a pattern which matches the machine's inhalation and exhalation noises. Is this coming from the machine itself OR from the type of mask I am using? I just know that I am exhausted. Do you have any advice?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 года назад +1

      Hello Robin,
      PAP therapy like anything Unfortunley takes time to get used to. I would suggest asking your Dr if all the comfort features have been turned on. If they can lower your pressure and my go to which is practicing while awake. Wear the machine while watching tv or reading to get comfortable with breathing.

      Hi, thank you for watching! Sounds like you want to set your machine to CPAP mode. Before making any changes to your settings, please make sure you talk to your doctor. That said, here's how to access your settings:
      You can change therapy mode by pressing the Ramp button on top of the machine and pushing the round knob down at the same time. Hold both down for at least 5 seconds. You'll see "APAP" at the top of your screen showing that you are in APAP or auto CPAP mode. Select this and then you can change your mode to CPAP.

    Had mine for a year now and only experience a problem (error code) when I over fill the tank. At the full line or a millimeter above and it will shut down. That means pulling out the tank, trying to get the excess water out of the machine inside. Then turn it on tis side to the water can drain out of the machine and dry out. Bad part is you can't use it till it all dries out. Usually the next evening.

    • @RespShop

      Hello Donald,
      it might be best to fill the water just under the max line. I would suggest speaking to your provider to advise the issue and it might be a machine malfunction.

    • @RespShop

      The minimum pressure only goes down to 4 on this machine. To change your pressure settings, you'll need to enter the provider menu: press and hold the ramp button and the round knob for about 5 secs.
      You'll want to change your mode to APAP (auto CPAP) and then you can adjust pressure settings.
      Please do not change your therapy settings without first consulting your doctor :)

    • @RespShop

      If you are wanting consistent airflow you would want to turn off any comfort pressures you may have turned on that will drop your pressure. Look into turning off your IPR, RED, and Ramp if you feel like you are just not getting enough air to start. Speak to your provider about how they can assist you with this.

      Looking forward at your machine the humidifier is on the right hand side, you will take your thumb on top and fingers on the bottom and pull. Use your other hand to support your machine down.

    A cpap is supposed to help you breathe while you sleep not make it harder.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 года назад

      Hello Mike,
      the CPAP is positive continues air pressure. It helps open up your airway with therapeutic pressures your sleep specialist has chosen based off your sleep study. Breathing in is easy, however a human body is not used to breathing against this pressure. It can takes sometime to get used to but I find with the help of the epr and ramp, comfort is gained a lot quicker.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  2 года назад

      Hi there,
      please note machine noise can be coming from a few different things. Mask fit, hose fit, and mask adapter. I would suggest checking to see if there is no leaks coming from your mask seal or the joints to your hose. This machine does run quiet so it might be a user error or see your provider for mechanical issues. the air sound is much louder then my dreamstation. but not only that it makes a whistling noise I can't figure out where its coming from. And also the filter latch where the air intake is rattles and clicks with every breath that I had to put a little piece of scotch tape on the corner to keep it quiet. I don't even think that single white cotton strip covers much. lol cheaply made machine but it does the job otherwise.

    • @generaltso9402
      @generaltso9402 2 года назад +2

      @@cooloutac Yeah, seems like the hurricane sound comes from the intake. Plus the pressure seems to jump up and down. Lanky Lefty had the same observations on his channel.

    • @cooloutac
      @cooloutac 2 года назад +1

      @@generaltso9402 My pressure doesn't even change. My dreamstation and Resmed usually increase to like pressure 9 or 10. This thing just stays at whatever the lowest pressure set is. be it 4 or 5. And like you said once in a while spikes up but immediately back down. I liked it at first but now i worry it doesn't work right. Maybe it has a different type of calibration i have no idea. Gonna try it for a month and see how I feel. So far i'm worried.

    It is very, very poorly designed! Location of hose connector is just plain stupid you have to turn the display/control away from you so the hose is in the correct position for patient to use. water chamber is small capacity, difficult to pull out of the machine for filling and If you have arthritis in your hands a painful, nearly impossible task. It is garbage.
