    This bike sounds great now. I could never drive this. It is too smooth and luxurious. I am used to constant problems...lol. Enjoy the fruits of your labor! God Bless.

    I am so happy for you Herbie! This video had me grinning from ear-to-ear. As you said, the FJR is a special bike. To me, It's kind of like all the girls you dated before you found the "one". Well, for me, that is the FJR 🥰 Enjoy that bike...I know you will!

    Nice!! I mean real Nice!. It's truly Awesome to see a something like this go from catastrophe back to badass again like like this and have it all so well documented like you have done here. Amazing recovery!. It's quite an inspiration and a mega Source of encouragement to keep on keeping on. Thanks For all you do and for sharing it all.

      Thank you, yeah, fortunately for me I was still on vacation and had the time to do it. I'm glad the company Bores cycle shipped the engine so quick as well. If it wasn't for them, I would have had to wait until the next week when I returned to work and who knows how much longer it would have been. Thanks

    I still don’t understand how anyone can ride without gloves and proper protection. It only takes one stupid driver to ruin your day. It doesn’t matter how safe you think you are riding. Be safe

      @herbiesgarage681  Месяц назад

      Thank you Russell, yes I realize the dangers involved, I almost always wear my gear. I believe in agatt, but I don’t practice it 100 percent of the time, I do admit. I’m sorry if this upsets you, that’s not my intent

    On another note, I noticed that you parked the FJR in neutral and put the stand down. I'm sure that you are aware that the FJR has a neutral safety switch, so if you put the stand down with the clutch engaged and in gear the bike will shut off and then you turn the key off. I always park mine in gear with the stand down...I parked it one time in neutral and put the stand down on a slight incline and it rolled off of the stand and hit the ground. Stupid mistake on my end. I am sure that you were already aware of the safety switch, just wanted to pass it along. That thing is bi*#h to pick up 😳😵

    Good work, glad it all worked out. I didn't see the GoldWing in the garage. Did you get rid of it?

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Месяц назад

      Thank You, I sold the Goldwing to buy a newer model bike to take on my trip. Didn't work out the way I had planned, I was wishing I had the wing on that trip, but I am loving the FJR especially now : )

    Did you have to do a throttle body Sync?
    Can you tell a difference with the headers wrapped? I would think it would make a big difference.

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  Месяц назад

      Yes, I needed to do the sync because they are 2 different engines, and the vacuum pulses might not be the same and I adjusted the throttle bodies to the old engine when it had a problem with #2 cylinder so it would definitely be different on this engine. Honestly, I can't tell a difference with the wrap. I might try to put an aluminized duct tape over it as a trial.

    How many miles before it blew? I have the same year, color too!!

    • @herbiesgarage681
      @herbiesgarage681  29 дней назад

      About 37k miles, I believe the previous owner messed something up on a valve adjustment or changing the cct that caused the problem. These are good engines and should last well over 100k miles
