Real talk here: How fucked up is it that all the parents just shove their kids off into an alternate dimension? You'd think Corrin who was sheltered their entire life would be a little more sympathetic than that.

And THEN they don't let the kids out until they're capable of fighting in a war. The only reason they're in the alternate dimension is for safety...but as soon as they can fight they're essentially drafted.

I've heard her voicing at different parts and it was good. I think that one scene had an audio problem, listen to it and you will know what I mean.

I don't mind the english dub. I watched a lot of bad english dubs of various anime (and by bad, i mean like dbz big green dub or malaysian dub bad) so this is nothing compared to those. Besides, Marth's english voice is kinda cool. Sounds like Yosuke. (Same VA?)

Hot damn localization, that definately wasn't in the fan translations, shoot Western Corrin is a lot better than Japanese Corrin in dialogue.
Ah, the Awakening cheesiness is back, I'm glad. But 2 things still bother me:
The Deeplands are not only a terrible excuse for fanservice, but also it's just sad towards the plot, those kids never had a childhood with their parents, all because of the war? Aren't they safe in that pocket dimension in the first place? #BlameGaron
And eh... What's Felicia's haircolor supposed to be

Peter Jumper Yes I read about that. I guess it was removed because there are no such monsters in the game in the first place and that it is a weak excuse... Because in every paralouge with kids they get attacked by monsters, why isn't it more safe to let them stay in the castle?

yup i knew it. the kids mechanic was shoe-horned into this game. and this method can now be used for any future fire emblem game now; since they cannot copy the time travel plot in awakening or the 1st generation deaths/timeskip in Holy War, or we'll call it extremely lazy story writing.

When this first happened, I couldn't stop laughing. I've never played a fire emblem game before, I figured there would be some time before we started having children, but nope! Immediately babies.
If I remember correctly, Felicia has a LONGER line when confessing, what the hell happened? Are they going to take away even those? For fucks sake, If Camilla ends up being an old hag instead of the sexy yandere nee-sama she is, heads are going to roll.
Changing the confession lines is nothing new. The same thing happened in Awakening.

I wasn't into FE but fates is totally winning me over, I have to get it on release but sadly I live in Europe and have no idea when its coming out.

Well, the "support system", which was basically the idea of people in the army developing a sense of camaraderie and friendships with each other, has existed for a long time in the series (FE6, I think)….
Awakening could have been seen as just expanding upon the idea of it while also harkening back to the marriages in Genealogy of the Holy War….
Fates seems to be taking it a bit too far…..
Peter Jumper exactly fe4 hate marriage but it wasnt a huge deal and it was relavant to the story and gen 2

gabe 234 I mean, I was fine with SRPGs without marriage (FF Tactics, Disgaea, etc.). I enjoyed FE games where marriages only occurred in the epilogue and there was no Avatar (FE8, The Sacred Stones). I enjoyed the FE4 (Genealogy) marriage system and the powerful skill combinations it gave, plus it was relevant to the theme as plots and conflicts spanned both generations. I also enjoyed the Awakening marriage system, to be honest (I married Cordelia).
My point is that I'm fine regardless of whether the marriage system is there or not there, as long as strategy remains sound.
I'll go ahead an marry in Fates too (I'm already planning to do so with Caeldori), but on the other hand, I think that a lot of the extra things they added (waking your wife up, etc.) is kind of trivial and disconnected from the rest of the story (with the kids not having as good a justification as FE4 or FE13).
I'm not upset about marriage/children themselves… I'm still going to take part it in… but they are taking it too far is they're just shoehorning it into a plot where it simply doesn't work without a contrivance that is is both ridiculous and largely unrelated to the overall plot. At least there were reasons why it was going on in Awakening….
The whole cutscenes after saving Kana is a big oversight. While she's attacked, she sees Corrin transforms but then questions if he can afterwards? Im sure for that cutscenes would make more sense if he had equipped a sword instead of the dragonstone.
What Corrin uses in that scene depends on what they have equipped.
At least you can still pet your spouse when they're sleeping. Heh... 'slugabed'.

I don’t even have this game yet it is so unique how it’s traditional fire emblem but you can build relationships with other people. I hope fire emblem: three houses has this ability.

+Game&Play Tired of this argument. You can't compare this to how it was done in 4. In 4, it was part of the strategy gameplay because there were 2 sets or units, plus it wasn't cringeworthy in any way or made you feel uncomfortable playing the game.
+Game&Play In fairness, there was no Avatar in FE4, so it wasn't so much about who was your "waifu" but much more focused on the strategy aspect of it.

Here are my two cents (or, as it is said in my country, my mustard ^^): The love scence was mostly cheesy, but in a good way that made it really cute. And some parts were just genuinely sweet.
Then the part after that: Er, you just send your child away? Well, at least they're safe, I suppose...
But I love the dialogue!
Smallish question, though: Didn't Corrin's child see him transform into a dragon? Then why is she surprised when Corrin mentions his ability to do so? Not a big deal, just a tiny inconstistency.
And then the bonding was just unintentionally hilarious. She speaks to you, falls asleep and speaks again. I don't know why, but small stuff like that always makes me laugh.
