Loch lomond side is bad at the best of times, but at night with the logging and frost product trucks on it it's a real undertaking if your not sure of it. They don't hang around and drive the road so often they some drive like it's a racetrack.
Hi Tim,thankyou for bringing back so much memories of the Highlands, I was so lucky in my professional when I was assigned to BNFL making deliveries to all the nuclear plants starting in Weymouth then going up the west coast right up to the top to Dounreay power station and then down the east side ending in dungeness power station this journey took nine days I total then once you have finished you had two days off then you start all over again, unfortunately I had a heart attack which followed a triple heart bypass in which DVLA stripped me of my C1E licence after 43 years in the haulage industry ,I just want thank you for the memories I shared the same enthusiasm for the job as you do Tim keep on trucking buddy Regards Ken.
Hey Tim, if you go to the Highlands again you want to take the motorway up to Sterling then cross country on the A84. It's a much wider and faster road but equally stunning. It brings you out at Crianlarich so you don't miss out on the moors either
Wow! 2 things Tim !! 1. You need to upload your playlist, thats my kinda stuff to get me through the nightshift trunks Glasgow to Haydock and back. 2. I dont envy you going up that part of the A82 at night, I live in a wee town called Clydebank, as you came across the Erskine Bridge you woulda kept left for Crianlarich, if you keep right there for glasgow youd be at my house probably in less than 5 mins. Love when you come up here but yet to see you 🤣 happy trucking 🤟
Love the video and POV Tim. The views up in Scotland look fab, and great that nothing happened to the lorry while you were parked in the lay by overnight.
I love your enthusiasm Tim and tbh like the "driver" who got you a loaf of sourdough bread I'd probs get you a coffee or something aswell as would be a pleasure one day. This is the sort of work i'd love to get into. I sure love driving these class 1s. Keep up the good laughs and good content dude

next time you come up to fort William try going through Stirling and calendar the brings you out at the end of the narrow bad road you don't like after loch Lomond
Was a good surprise, starting work, pull out the yard and see your truck parked up outside, I was in the Tug, shunting a trailer across the road. Nice seeing you.
Going up to Inverness one winter’s evening, no traffic steady 50mph -10 outside that’s without wind chill. Came to some Road works lifted foot from throttle nothing happened, still going 50 mph. Quickly switched off ignition. Set speed to 30 mph put in high gear let clutch out, engine still doing revs for 50 mph, and limped to Inverness. Parked in a lay-by opposite a fish and chip shop, and waited till morning.

First video of yours I've seen Tim, thoroughly enjoyed it! Completely agree with you about how stunning the road through Glencoe is, one of my favourite ever.
Did that drive up from Dublin to Belfast then on to Cairnryan up to Fortwilliam a couple of times. Nice drive, but then again I was only in a little van. Can't imagine what that run by Lough Lomond is like in a lorry. It's fairly tight. Was being a lorry both times which was actually nice as made everyone behave themselves.
That climb up past Bridge of Orchy is amazing. The viewpoint at the top is breathtaking. Further on, just before Glencoe is the road to Glen Etive where the image of Daniel Craig standing next to the DB5 in Skyfall was filmed. As you decend down from Glencoe you would have passed the site ofJimmy Savilles cottage (least said about that the better). I'm doing that exact run tomorrow with some mates. Ardrossan to Mallaig. Brilliant content Tim. 5⭐👍🏻
Hi trucker Tim matey it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍 thanks for the second part of your RUclips video it's very much appreciated 👍 and Scotland is a very very serious nice place to go and it's got the best landscape ever and the Scottish people are brilliant people always up for laugh and banter and if you know Scottish people very well you get looked after by the Scottish people. Great RUclips video Tim matey 👍👍 and definitely keep up the great work and keep us updated with the new unit aswell thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍
Amazing video as usual mate, your really living the life I want lol, driving a truck is something I've always wanted to do but have never been able to afford. So watching your vids is the next best thing, keep it up
Hi trucker tim . Tim when you said you were going through some valley it's not a valley tim it's Glen cos and the mountains on either side take you past Glen coe ski centre where in winter you can go up to the top and ski snow board or sledging and that arched bridge is Rannoch Moor very desolate in winter. Plus that road through the mountains is very challenging in snow
Back in the day, I used to chuckle at my ol' truck driving mate responding to magazine competitions to identify a roundabout or junction. Then I watched this, and.... oooh I *know* that bridge! I've been on that road! I know *EXACTLY* where you were driving. The A82 bridge isn't a million miles away from where Bond was filmed for (I think) Spectre. :)

what a great vid love fort williams went up there for a few days with a pub group n that road was crazy we arrived in the dark and left in the day crazy road
Good job. I hate that tight stretch of road around Loch Lomond, and that’s me just driving a car or van. Doing that in an HGV would seriously give me the fear. If you ever get a job to go to Stornoway then take it, and then head down to Harris. Google Luskentyre beach 😍 although the last mile or so to that beach is a tight single track road, so maybe not best for an HGV, but the road from Stornoway down to Harris is a real beauty.
