Tim you should of left those foldable hydrulic ramps on the trailer the ones it came with, if you did the paint on the back of the trailer would be less scratched and also the ramps where longer and you wouldn't need to do the lugging about of the ones you have now and no having to strap them down. Thats why that kind of configeration of low loader is more popular now. The olny down side is you can't have overhang on the back or less it fits between the ramps. Also if you get longer ramps they may also be heavier and more awkward to lift and move.

Great video Tim! Those F1 trucks look great. We definitely need guy to sort out a new winch and longer ramps . Also, you need to keep spare bulbs and a tool kit in both trucks.

Lewis Hamilton drives for Mercedes. So his F1 car wouldn’t have been pulled by a truck from McLaren. Also. Those trucks have been all over Europe. Certainly not just to Silverstone and back.
Well to be fair, he drives for McLaren before he moved to Merc. But that was a looong time ago
Hi Tim, why not replace the Tamu bulbs for yellow led bulbs. Did it with mine and they look smashing. No more problems with burned out bulbs, happy time!!

Tim I love your content and get you need to do haulage to get money but I think you need to hire a editor plus give bengineer a camera so when your out on haulage when he's busy with projects he can film it so you can release more videos a week and I think you need to do another volvo build soon

We run the basic merc actros, still has mirror cams etc but the seats are terrible, mirror cams are good until it rains and its pitch dark, ours are being sent back to the hire firm and replacing them with 71 plate daf

Probably why the trailer was only a few years old when you got it. Not worth the hassle to load it. If I was you I would ask Darren if there is a grippy paint you can put on there to help the anglers parts of the trailer
You should get some of that black felt stuff, bit like sandpaper, strips on your trailer to help with grip when getting a truck on

There is a new mcdonald's at the Lincolnshire showground, if you pass having to eat ,but nowhere Park your lorry , only think off is park up at the side entrance of of the showground, or park up up at the main entrance and walk down the path.

You need some guide markers for loading... I used to bits of copper pipe with reflective tape on and a cheap are bike light for dark night s to mark. When loading on the corners.

I don't understand how you haven't brought new ramps for the trailer yet or even put a non slip surface on the old ramps. Be a lot safer for loading etc. Truck cab is looking mint though Timmy Boy!!

Durex is a different type of paint Tim 😂😂But those mercs are gorgeous I used to drive one and there really comfortable to drive and sleep in, lovely big cab and really nice to drive, don't knock it till you've tried it 😊

Tim think you would be better of selling that trailer and getting a new one, even if you were to put money on it getting a bigger winch and longer ramps you still have the issue of how slippy the bed is and you cant put anything low on the front of the trailer, also as its a gdb trailer its likely to need alot of money spent into it, also at the end of the day Tim its still a old trailer and chassis just with new paint on so something will go wrong soon

Here in Canada from my experience that Dodge/Ram pickup guys like to put their seats up as well must be a visibility or bravado issue with those pickups
Is it possible to get Hydraulic ramps installed onto a trailer that didn’t come with them? That would be cool with a big ol winch done at the same time. You’d be sorted and not have to drag ramps about

These trucks are from McLaren rather than the Mercedes works team, so they won't have pulled Hamilton's car. Given that they're 71 plate, they'll have been used for the 2022/2023 season, maybe some of 2024. This means they'll have moved cars for Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo and Oscar Piastri. The cars they'll have moved will be the McLaren MCL36 (2022), the MCL60 (2023) and maybe the MCL38 (2024). They may have also been used to pull other trailers, like equipment trailers or parts of the McLaren hospitality suite which is transported on a few trailers and assembled for each race weekend.
These trucks won't have just gone to Silverstone and back - to keep carbon emissions down all the teams truck their stuff around the European leg of the season rather than flying it, so these trucks will have been going all over Europe, as far as Baku and Barcelona between May and September.
If they were used during 2024, then they've for sure pulled race winning cars or equipment around Europe - Lando won the Dutch GP, and Oscar won Azerbaijan and Hungary.
