Tip for the Mercedes if they keep running away on you whilst trying to do manoeuvres. Go into the menus and turn off crawler mode, that way, its not immediately trying to drive when you take foot off the brake. (Some of them take off quite quick) You should be able to control them better on the throttle then. Hope that makes sense and helps.
Tim you should of left those foldable hydrulic ramps on the trailer the ones it came with, if you did the paint on the back of the trailer would be less scratched and also the ramps where longer and you wouldn't need to do the lugging about of the ones you have now and no having to strap them down. Thats why that kind of configeration of low loader is more popular now. The olny down side is you can't have overhang on the back or less it fits between the ramps. Also if you get longer ramps they may also be heavier and more awkward to lift and move.

This is so cool... Trucker Tim colliding with my favourite sport! These trucks are from McLaren rather than the Mercedes works team, so they won't have pulled Hamilton's car. Given that they're 71 plate, they'll have been used for the 2022/2023 season, maybe some of 2024. This means they'll have moved cars for Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo and Oscar Piastri. The cars they'll have moved will be the McLaren MCL36 (2022), the MCL60 (2023) and maybe the MCL38 (2024). They may have also been used to pull other trailers, like equipment trailers or parts of the McLaren hospitality suite which is transported on a few trailers and assembled for each race weekend. These trucks won't have just gone to Silverstone and back - to keep carbon emissions down all the teams truck their stuff around the European leg of the season rather than flying it, so these trucks will have been going all over Europe, as far as Baku and Barcelona between May and September. If they were used during 2024, then they've for sure pulled race winning cars or equipment around Europe - Lando won the Dutch GP, and Oscar won Azerbaijan and Hungary. Super awesome to see you hauling these! 😎
@@johndoughnut8617 Used to do it a while back,the driving was the easy part especially in Europe,we got to know the good places to stop!...Set up and taking down the garage was hard graft,painting the garage floor, then being part of the pitstop in the race,tyres,fuel,filling air bottles, polishing everything including the inside and outsides of the trucks,,airport pick ups,the list goes on !,..Money was pretty good and hotels and all the food provided,..A few beers were not unheard of on occasion !

We run the basic merc actros, still has mirror cams etc but the seats are terrible, mirror cams are good until it rains and its pitch dark, ours are being sent back to the hire firm and replacing them with 71 plate daf
You have the information about the driving time left in the cluster, had it on my -16 R streamline, never had to do a printout to see it, all the info is there, just change the "your choice" of menu :)
I don't know if it's still this way in the US because I haven't driven a truck for over 20 years, but back when I was a trucker from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s, if you drove your truck with any of your lights, even marker lights, out, the coppers in most US states would pull you over and give you a ticket for not having all your lights working.
That talmu lights are considered as accessory light, so no problem if it going out. For main light and marker light, then yes it should be in working order.
There is a new mcdonald's at the Lincolnshire showground, if you pass having to eat ,but nowhere Park your lorry , only think off is park up at the side entrance of of the showground, or park up up at the main entrance and walk down the path.

Not to sound all negative or shirty but don't you think getting the correct ramps would be a bigger priority knowing you're doing jobs/ loads where having the correct kit would be make your life easier in the long run!? Still cool load with those ex F1 Merc trucks on the trailer!! 😃😃👍👍
It had beaver tail ramps on it originally, but he removed them because it'd look "tang" enough for him. He would rather struggle and damage the trucks because the image (that nobody cares about apart from 14 year old subscribers) is more important to him.
Tim I love your content and get you need to do haulage to get money but I think you need to hire a editor plus give bengineer a camera so when your out on haulage when he's busy with projects he can film it so you can release more videos a week and I think you need to do another volvo build soon

You can get some grit to mix into paint. We use it in walkways on the decks of ships to prevent folk slipping on the wet decks.
