Oh wow.. Perspective Positioner is 100% what I've been searching for to do complex object replacements...especially objects shifting perspective! Can't wait to really dive deep on this one. Thanks so much!
Nice one. Love the paint node, but sometimes still struggle with tracking brushes. Btw instead of the perspective positioner and corner positioner, I would maybe just use the planar tracker, because most times you have to track the camera anyway. and it comes with a super easy distort / undistort workflow. Great walkthrough anyways!
Thanks for the tip! I don't think i've ever used the planar tracker without tracking. But you're right most shots need tracking anyway. Cheers! I keep learning from you and thankful for your channel.
@@CreativeVideoTipsBut one more thing sir. I think Fusion must be like Nuke. Using crop and uncrop will not improve performance because it just change the bbox, original data still there. Unless you have a domain node after crop node to cut all data. Am i right? (Sorry if my english bad)
There is a faster way to copy Perspective Positionner (PP) to Corner Positionner (CP), its to copy the PP and paste settings on the CP, its the way I do :)
Thank you for this fantastic tutorial. Just wonder if there's camera move for this one for example a little orbit for this one , how would you apply this method?
If tracking is involved (which it usually is) - you'll use a tracker tool to lock off the motion. Perspective and Corner Positioning are settings in the dropdown in the standard point tracker to do this. Also the planar tracker set to steady, and then invert steady.
Thanks Chadwick! LOVE these old school/ no AI editing techniques! If I have similar product shot but with slider/zoom in/out movement, should I add planar tracker to your workflow?
Thanks! Yes you'll need to either use the point tracker with 2 points or the planar tracker. You would first steady the image, then match move it with a copy of the same node (both of those trackers have settings for both).

You are an excellent instructor. You have a nice clear voice, and you explain everything very clearly. Keep it up. Great videos.
Just amazing! I've been working so hard to clone paint stuff and this is a HUGE improvement! Thanks!
Love it, Chadwick! Simple but effective tutorial that can be applied to so many different issues.
Thanks for the kind words - hope it's helpful!

Would you consider doing a tutorial on using the planar tracker method?
Hope more paint out clip like this. Best Regards.
You got it!

Great Video.. So many awesome tips!!
Thanks Bill! Happy holidays.
Great stuff as usual!
Thank you!
This is really good! Cheers
thanks for watching
Fantastic as always, thanks Chadwick
thanks so much
Kick ass!! Thanks Chadwick!
Thanks Chad - I discovered this morning that I probably should have included a mention of concatenation on this one - more to come... :)
@@CreativeVideoTipsyeah I was just reading that convo!! I learned a bunch from that also and can’t wait to see you explain it in depth!!
Perfect timing! Working on a crowd clone at the moment and your paint/tracking videos have helped a lot :)
Wonderful! Glad they have helped a bit.
🎉 exceptional tips.
Appreciate that!
Cattywampus... Thats my new favorite word to say now. 🤣
thats the problem when I don't script a tutorial :)
My in-law family use this expression quite frequently!
Easy in after effects

ah - are you able to do this as a single copy paste? I had no clue - I'll have to try. Thank you!
@CreativeVideoTips yes, but paste settings, as this function copy all the values from one node to an other as long as the inputs have the name
@@totox691 gotcha - I think there might be a bug with this in 19.1.2 on a mac - it hangs pretty bad then crashes resolve fusion.
@CreativeVideoTips I will try again, I'm back to 19.1.1 on windows PC
@@CreativeVideoTips I tried right now, DVR 19.1.1 on windows and thta still works, but I did it directly without any paint or crop tools connected.
You just got a sub!
Welcome, cheers

Chadwick! Can you make a video of you learning how to use Davinci Resolve? Just step by step.
I appreciate the crop trick, but what about just using the region of interest function instead?
Paint in Fusion is ancient, it should be scrapped and re-build, it lacks features that can be found in Nuke or Silhouette.
Spill the pen mouse please
one thing to remember, dont play clip, it movies randomly unles its photo🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic as always, thanks Chadwick
Appreciate the support!
