Kawasaki Z900 Chain Tension Adjustment

- Documentation of a chain tension adjustment for the Kawasaki z900. The manual says specifically to start this process on the side stand and never mentions raising it on a paddock stand. If you would like to "RTFM" and follow along with the process it starts on page 152:

Tools used:
-Number 12 wrench on the adjuster and locking nuts. Preferably 2 so you can hold the adjuster nut in place as you tighten the locking nut.
-Number 27 socket for the axle nut.
-Adjustable crescent wrench to hold the opposite side of the axle nut in place while torquing the axle nut.
-Breaker Bar
-Torque Wrench to apply 81 ftlbs of torque to the axle nut.
-Pliers for the cotter pin.
-Mallot for the cotter pin.
-Tape measure.
-Rear wheel bike stand.
-Chain sighting tool.
-Kawasaki cotter pin part 550AA4040

Maybe the 27 pressed on the black cap was giving the socket size away!!😂😂😂

Mir erscheint die Kette etwas zu stramm,es dürfen nicht weniger als 35-40mm sein, besser etwas zu lose als zu stramm.Gruß Achim aus Deutschland
The manual says 25-35mm.
@@OakInch okay, dann wird es wohl so richtig sein, trotzdem lasse ich die Kette immer etwas mehr Lose zur Sicherheit.Gruß Achim ☺️
@@OakInch In my manual, it states: "Standard: 25 - 35 mm (1.0 - 1.4 in.)"
not that hard to get a split pin out mate!
