  • Documentation of a chain tension adjustment for the Kawasaki z900. The manual says specifically to start this process on the side stand and never mentions raising it on a paddock stand. If you would like to "RTFM" and follow along with the process it starts on page 152:
    www.kawasaki-o...
    Tools used:
-Number 12 wrench on the adjuster and locking nuts. Preferably 2 so you can hold the adjuster nut in place as you tighten the locking nut.
-Number 27 socket for the axle nut.
-Adjustable crescent wrench to hold the opposite side of the axle nut in place while torquing the axle nut.
    -Breaker Bar
-Torque Wrench to apply 81 ftlbs of torque to the axle nut.
    -Pliers for the cotter pin.
    -Mallot for the cotter pin.
    -Tape measure.
    -Rear wheel bike stand.
    -Chain sighting tool.

Maybe the 27 pressed on the black cap was giving the socket size away!!😂😂😂
