Lol.... Well I actually fished Still Water about 4 time this year and on twice caught fish on Buzzers and twice struggle with Buzzers but that's fishing for you. Thank you for liking my Video
I find I can catch on buzzers like crazy for a couple of months, April/May, but after that it's less productive. However, I know a guy who ONLY fishes with buzzers and he catches all year round! Mac's crisp packet blue buzzers are one of the most effective nymphs i've used anywhere.
Cracking tie Mak. I've had mixed success with them. My local Stillwater allows the use of bungs. Great suspended but requires the patience of a saint and the reactions of a gun fighter. Many thanks for posting.
Great little pattern Mak. Do you simply soak the quills in pure bleach or a bleach and water solution and if so would you use cold or warm water? Any recommended time as to how long to soak them for? I’m guessing you use the eraser, rubber method to remove the hair prior to soaking?
Thank you Junior,, I use to do that, but not anymore, with the bleach Quill gets dry & Stiff and breaks very quickly, Now what I do is put the Quill in mouth for 10-15 second ,get it wet properly with the saliva, leave it out for 1 minute , then strip it with Thumb Nail , It gets stripped very clean & quickly Regards,,, Mak
Watching as you make your flies is so calming to watch and great learning from a knowledgeable person, thank you.

Makflies Gentleman thanks very much. I’ll give one a go tomorrow. The natural stripped quills look much much better than the synthetics.
