Not everyone feels this way. I got told today at work that nothing’s going to happen and that I’m just a conspiracy theorist.
I laughed and said, well I’d rather be prepared and wrong than not prepared and right.
I get the same, some folks are going to be in for a rude awakening
I had this same conversation with a friend yesterday as well. She didn't have many words to tell me, but I told her I warned her because I care. But I also told her don't come looking for help from me once she finally sees things are really bad, because I'll be taking care of me and my family.
That is because it is not happening in their backyard right now,... just wait, they will be wanting you to bring them home with you and take care of them! .... NOT!
Let them laugh...keep doing what your doing Hang tough Stay safe
After a few weeks tell them your right and your going to donate your preps to the food bank. That way they won't bust in your door when things go south.

I feel it in the air. It's a stronger feeling than ever before. I haven't been paying to much attention to all of the craziness. This feeling is truly coming from my gut. I feel like gas, food and health care are going to be extremely hard to come by very soon. 😢 Make sure to check up on your elderly neighbors if you are able to. They'll need us to get through these tough times 🙏

Evening Travis, 96° f and 49% humidity in Houston TX right now, would love some cooler temps. Didn't get to make it out to the farm this weekend, but my daughter and son-in-law has it covered. I would love to sell the house here in the city and go full time out at the farm, but the housing market is crap right now and with the interest rates up, people just are not buying like they should, nor are they leasing as much as they use to, but i don't wish to rent it out with all the headaches. Oh well, it will either work out or i will have to cut my losses and sell for what i am able. I took my chances and waited too long working to upkeep the farm while getting it to the point we can make money from the farm and provide most of our needs.

Hello Dear Sir. I agree with your political thought process 100%. My wife and I listen to you and are perched there on every word. But I think to be a good homesteader one is going to need to look at the past to see the future. There is nothing any single person will be able to do to stop, or sway, the political agenda. It's already in place. To be a good prepper I believe we need to not only to live off of one's stockpile but learn the great outdoors that I was taught at a young age. So many resources will used up if not replenished. I myself, am a marksman, an angler, a trapper, and like Mr. Fowler, a slingshot shooter. I think of all them as lost arts. I hope you will see my point, and I hope my words do not fall on deaf ears.

Over the past few years & especially this year (elections years are the worst), most prepper channels have switched to either poor geopolitical analysis, bad USA politics, amplifying poorly thought out hot takes from social media, or "Canadian Prepper Lite" doomstering. There's very little actual prepping advice nowadays. The mostly likely challenges which people might face are still the same as always: extreme rain/snow/hail, flooding, fire/wildfire, occasional power outages, freezing/hot temperatures, maybe hurricanes or tornadoes etc. People are far more likely to be involved in a car collision & have crushing medical bills than be personally affected by Iran thowing some drones around for IL/USA to use as target practice or the AI bubble popping & tech stocks dropping by X%
