- This track was recorded during pre-production sessions for the album Time Stands Still, which was initially slated to be released late 2014. This is the longest song on the record as well as the most conceptual. Thanks so much to the boys in Crimson Shadows and Vesperia for their help with the gang vocals; and thanks to Brayden Dyczkowski and Nick Engwer for doing the sound engineering. Also a big thanks to all the photographers who's photos we may have used in this video, we appreciate all the hard work you put into your craft.

Everything is so powerful in this song.
Brittney has one of the best Power Metal voices there is.
I've grown up a huge Maiden fan. I remember my dad giving me his piece of mind and number of the beast cd's to put on my iPod video. And, while they are ONE of the greatest of all time metal bands, this song has (imo) the best intro of any metal song I've ever enjoyed 🤘 I love this band

i've been asking that myself for years now ever since i met drummer Scott Bucanhan & i'm like are you guys signed yet? & he's like nope nobody's even gave us a dam phone call!! I'm just blown away because you'd think a label like Metal Blade,Roadrunner,Napalm,Century Media etc would be all over this like white on rice. Metal Blade for instance will sign all these emo bands or cookie cutter bands like Miss May I,Black Dahlia Murder,White Chapel etc but not go after a very original sounding band all around like Unleash the Archers? I seen them live in London,Ontario about 4 or 5 years ago now at the Music Hall & they were opening for another Canadian band that night called,"Blackguard" which are a kick ass band to but Unleash the Archers blew me away that night with there live performance & showed up Blackguard if you ask me & quite a few other people at the show that night that didn't even know about Unleash the Archers & were there to see Blackguard & were obviously quite honest because they'd never heard of Unleash the Archers & were like hey man you were right Unleash the Archers are fucking awesome man!! Because when we'd go outside for a smoke before Unleash the Archers & Blackguard went on & a few local London bands were opening & still playing we'd chat to people & they'd be like hey who you here to see? & i'm like oh i'm here to see Unleash the Archers & there like ya we knew they were on the bill but have never heard of them & i was like well be prepared man because there gonna blow you away & don't be surprised if they show up Blackguard lol, & there just looking at me like ok there buddy lol. & i was like wait till you hear Britney Hayes sing. & sure enough after the show they would see me & go HOLY SMOKES buddy you weren't kidding!! Unleash the Archers KICKS MAJOR ASS!! lol.
Sudsy Sutherland While I totally agree with the rest of the frustration you have, The Black Dahlia Murder isn't necessarily what I would call "emo" or a "cookie cutter" band lol. They're pretty awesome in their own, and they're definitely unique in terms of melo-death. But Unleash The Archers is phenomenal. :)
Granted I don't know shit about the music industry.. but can't you make a pretty good or even better living without being signed? I read recently the labels want to start dipping into tour profits more heavily now.. crazy. I hope independent bands crush the labels for good. Anyway I agree.. it is surprising they aren't signed, I would assume all the euro-metal heads would buy this shit if they heard it.
Nicholas LaDieu that depends heavily on circumsteances. for example, if you don't know anyone who is really into studio work (recording, mixing and mastering), you have to pay for that and that's really expensive, so most bands can't afford to pay that on their own. labels provide bands with money for recording and producing an album, they help with getting merch and sometimes even with getting gigs.
however, if you have a lot of dedicated fans and can get around that problem with crowdfundin (bloodshot dawn did this with their new album) or just have people who know their stuff around you, so that you don't have to pay that much (although now signed, Epitome did this when recording) it is possible to get along without a label.
still, if you do it on your own, you have a high risk, because the music buisness (especially cd sales) isn't wealthy right now, and that's one of the reasons the labels want to have some of the touring money.

Seriously great work on this! dont think we listened to the whole track when we did the gang vocals but it sounds fucking amazing! Brit your voice is absolutely intoxicating! I would almost say this is the best recording to date, fuck you guys rule! Cheers!

i feel like this should have been a bonus track on the actual album release, this version seems so much different, yet keeping the absolute same feeling and melody as the actual release version. cant wait for phantoma!
The way the vocals just ghosted in after that superb intro...magnificent.
If there will be a remaster of the Time Stands Still, I hope there is a version of Dreamcrusher that sounds closer to this. The screams sound so amazing on this one.

Agreed. This utterly blew my mind when I first heard it. The album version...sounds artificial. The guitar sounds like it’s coming from a keyboard.

This is the best song of yours that ive heard so far! Great vocals, both ckean and harsh, great dynamics, impressive riffs and leads, and most impressively you made a 9 and a half minute song feel like 4. No misplaced breakdowns, and the screams are fuckin kickass melodeath all the way. I live the new direction and will order the album as soon as it comes out. Id also like to express my admiration and respect for the talent and downright true metalness of Brittney Hayes. I love her voice, and she keeps it real, not dolling herself up like many other frontwomen, not following the symphonic metal Nightwish trend, just singing straight up, heavy fucking metal with guts and power, as good better than many well respected men in the genre, and that is unique, rare, and impressive, and i love the quality that a strong female voice lends to the sound. If you guys tour in the states, i hope you can play Fresno, CA, if you do, or somewhere nearby, ill be there! \m/

I heard late spring
I've followed UTA since the beginning. Don't remember how I stumbled across them. I'll admit that their first album was pretty bad, I hated pretty much everything about it. It sounded like you got 5 people together who were complete strangers to record an album and told them to just go nuts on their instruments. But I sensed that there was some raw talent in the group and decided to see if they could find their sound.
I liked their second album, but it sounded to me they were still finding their sound.
If this song is any indication of the rest of their third album, I would say they finally found it. It's incredible and I can't get enough of it. I will be buying the album and sharing with my friends. It's rare to find a band that gets better with time, but UTA is one of them. I hope they'll get some exposure and radio play on the metal stations.
i dunno if youre talking about behold the devastation. but the first song and the last two songs are gold in my book.

I liked all of there albums, Behold the Devastation is amazing.
I discovered them being I went to high school with all of them, worked with one of them at MC Dics as well lol. Crazy to see how far they have gone since then

This song started off so well, then just seemed to keep getting better - from 8:20 to the end is fucking orgasmic, especially the drums and guitar from 8:42 onwards, that is just amazing.

Eh, I don't know about that mate, you've gotta have some build-up, and you wouldn't want the end of the song to fizzle out just because the most epic part is at the beginning, right? :P
realitybytes16 I compare this song to Iron Maidons "Where the wild wind blows" and the fizzle part starts in the middle and is much longer than this. And Sorry, the most epic parts are at the end. The hole song structure of this song is a little different than the past songs....

I know his makes no sense because of the genres of music, but a tour with arch enemy, three days grace, billy talent and of course unleash the archers. That would be epic in my opinion. And yes I know arch enemy isn't Canadian but Alissa is lol. If only she was still in The Agonist then it would make more sense.
I like this version a lot but I much prefer the final mix that wound up on the album. :) UtA is amazing!
