Something I’ve leaned since I made this video, it is possible that it came from the factory with the shift shaft installed, but it may have been sold with forward controls still. It was probably a common thing for the era where the dealers had an easier time selling bikes with forward controls than they did mids

On any m8 softail Yeah! Harley has some available, and there are also kits available through the aftermarket. It can be done on an older softail, too. But there would be a lot of work involved
This guy bought them used and brought them to me with the bike. But drag specialties sells them, any of your local shops should be able to help you get your hands on a set
