Can I please get some info on what rear fender you used???? Want to do same project on my 1999 FXDWG, just can’t find a seat and rear fender and you nailed it! Please please let me know 😭😭😭😂👍👍👍👍👍
7/8 grips feel so much better than 1", love the dirt bike feel on a Harley. I would suggest if you're having wrist problems while riding, switching out for 7/8 throttle sleeves, there's a few companies that make them as I think your grips are 1" from what I can tell... maybe I'm wrong.
Man, I hate to see that duck tail rear fender go. To me they are sexy and distinguish the bike from other models. One serious question. Why change from belt drive to chain? I’ve had each on different bikes and the belt is so much nicer not having to clean and adjust every 500 miles. If there is a benefit to chain over belt, I can’t figure out what it would be.
Yeah you are correct Mate. Belts are Best ! If you have a hot-cam with heaps of cubic-inches and want to do wheel-stands , or continuously run it on a drag-strip, then chains are best for transferring horse-power to the ground. Please note you Can do wheelies ( wheel-stands ) with a belt rear-drive, just not lots/often/always !
i got a sick 2000 fxdwg, loved it, got hit by a drunk driver. totaled the bike. i kept it tho. most it was fine. oil pan was just like urs. i found another one online, and had it shipped to GA from PA via my cell phone while i was at work. so i got a complete-ish parts bike. super rad dynas can be had on CL for under 5k.
Nice to see this beautiful bike, and nice guys working on it. But also the tools. As a french mechanic,I work in a quarry on bigger machine and I really hate electric and air tools. I need to feel the torque and the effort. I also little by little forget the socket wrench for the classic wrench. I rode a 03 Wide Glide for ten months untill my butt got run over and totalled the bike . My favorite bike because I was working at the Harley shop in Moore and I had to go to El Reno to pick it up for the shop , then hid it behind the Harleys that I unloaded from the factory . I was able to hide it for a month before they knew it was in the back , lol .
There are some bars that have been made as collaborations with MX companies that are compatible with regular risers. Other than that there are companies like Hardcase Performance that make risers to fit moto bars and you run sleeves to fit the Harley controls.
@@PowerCult I belive you said you had a 95 wideglide. Says its not compatible to that year. Anyhelp? How did you mount it. Did you just adjust the fender or...?

Hey fellas I need a little advice. I have a 2012 Wide glide and I want to do a mid/narrow glide conversion on the front end. To get rid of that wide glide rake and throw a wider tire instead of the skinnier glide tire. Do I just need to swap the tree to get rid of that rake? If so what’s my best option? I have the stock forks and tree right now (49mm). If you got some time hit me back. Thanks
I can’t speak for sure about a 2012, but on this 99 some of the rake is in the tree and some is in the frame itself. Swapping to a 39mm narrow glide tree made it have the same rake as a lowrider
What rear fender and tank was that from? Fxr? What year? Anything else required for the wheels? Assumed cast wheel with 3/4 axle. I have a 98 fxdwg looking to do a similar build.
Changed to 39mm narrow glide trees with plus 2 tubes. Has the same rake as a lowrider when you change the trees. And yes it does wheelies just not with me on it 😂
Love the build! Currently converting my '15 Dyna FXDB into a club style bike. Had a question about your paint. What was the cost of the total paint? And who did it for you? Thanks! Ride safe!
Im gonna guess they dont need a salvage inspection because of how old it is? Thats how it works in my state. Anything over 10 years old exceeds the limitations. Its still required to pass state saftey inspection though... so your not getting away with anything.

Sick build brother! Gave me some ideas for my 1995 wide glide!

What is the rear fender and what kind of fairing is that?
Not my style of bike but I love the color and forks. Came out nice!
im looking for a rear fender for my 2000 dyna, just wondering where you got yours from?
On the wide glides they have more front fork rake then the other dyna did u change something to in the triple trees to lessen the rake

Yep! It now has the same rake as a lowrider
