really looking forward to the rest of these reviews. im about to buy a wireless video doorbell so i'll wait until ive seen all of your reviews... so hurry up!! :D
Great job, really intuitive. I have stayed away from the ring doorbell because I’ve always wanted the storage to be local. Also, I have always been looking for some one to create a “doorbell video kit” that could be installed in any existing doorbell installation and have WiFi or network options. I have custom brass flush plates and other types in various locations and would be nice to be able upgrade them.
You could take the plastic plate to someone who works in those material and have a custom plate made 20-40$ dollars I assume because brass is ready available. Maybe even less.
That Eufy one seriously reminds me of the AT&T one used in Back To The Future! 😂 Really enjoying your videos. I’ve got 5 lights being controlled by Alexa and it’s super helpful as I’m a wheelchair user. Hoping to get my curtains and blinds controlled in the same way.
The only real question anyone should ask when buying a video doorbell is: does it work without the internet? I'm so sick of my Ring going offline and not having video when I get an alert WHICH IS THE ENTIRE DAMN POINT! [Edit] After using my Eufy for a few weeks I can say I like it SO much better than Ring. The video shows instantly instead of 10 to 20 seconds later. And now that Ring has raised the monthly fee to use their useless service the Eufy's subscription free system is even better.
I have this doorbell (the Eufy) and it is very good. Wide field of view, it does show the percentage battery remaining, the local storage is more than enough, the motion dete tion is configurable and first rate in operation. Most importantly there is no monthly fee and that's fine by me.
@@Revolutionary491 it will eventually overwrite. The storage that comes with the homebase is just under 15gb, so there is a limit. I will say that I have 2 eufycam Pro 2k and the doorbell all recording (motion detect), they have been up and running for 7 months and about 1/3 of the storage is used. I bought one. Nice resolution. However, it worked well for a few days, then started giving many many falses. I reviewed the footage each time and most times there was nothing at all in the recorded video that should have set off an alert. I tried every possible setting combination to no avail. Excellent review. Thank you! I sure wish Eufy/Google/Amazon (Home Assistant?) would figure out the notification lag. I was really hoping to use this with Nest Hub or Echo devices.
I wonder if Eufy has a replacement warranty for theft/damage. That is one of the selling points of the Ring - their replacement service if someone steals it. That said, definitely looks like a much better unit overall!

They both have their pluses and minuses. Having the Nest Hub Max and the Google Hub, having the display show who's at the door is pretty convenient. Also having Nest Hello record 24/7 is great but that obviously costs more money. With Google routines going to update there are probably some cool things we will be able to do with Nest Hello soon. Hi Smart Home Solver, I am in the UK and I can’t seem to get my Eufy battery powered doorbell or outdoor cameras to connect to my Echo show 5. On my Alexa app, it shows “Live view not supported“. Please help!!!
Eufy blows! I'm sorry but there are WAYYYY too many issues when looking at Eufy compared to Ring. Ring is a lot faster and more trusted. Save yourself headaches and go with the trusted Ring, you'll thank me.
Very poor battery life on Eufy. First charge I got 30 days. Second charge I only got 2 weeks. Third full charge if was down to only 10 days. This was with person only setting and auto night vision on. With only 3-5 notifications a day it should last much longer than this.
I'm kinda disappointed of the quality and sound that's all chopped up. :/ Should gone with the ring and we got the eufy cuz of you. Oh well we live and we learn.
Hi, which one should I get because my Internet is really bad I have to ring doorbell, but when my Internet not working the ring doorbell, it’s not working
Purchased one but the mount is terrible. There is a risk that the doorbell will fall off when closing the door and the bell can easily be pulled off with minimum force. Real shame because it was a nice bell. Asked for a new mount to be sent but they made it so complicated I am returning.
Its good that the storage is located locally, except the fact that the doorbell is a piece of shit tech which doesn't pick up motion even if you stand in front of it (check reddit threads, there are loads and examples on youtube). So someone could literally take the doorbell, keep the sync button pressed to wipe it clean. In another scenario, if someone did break in all they would have to do is unplug the hub, or again erase it and you have lost all evidence of a break in.... so not very secure
If possible please test the audio/video delay when away from home as well as when at home. Also, please note if a video doorbell can/cannot be remotely turned on. That is, if I'm away on vacation or due to an emergency can I turn the video camera on just to check on the area the camera captures? Finally, it would be nice if you make a chart of all the video doorbells features including smart home integration with Google, Alexa, etc. We are moving soon and will need a new doorbell, thermostat, ISP, router, mesh Wifi, etc. Thanks for all your videos! I just switched my notifications from Personalized to All.
Eufy state that if the doorbell unit is stolen or destroyed then there is no way of accessing the video data on the Homebase unit. Does anyone know if that is true? That seems like a glaringly obvious security oversight if true and also makes the Homebase unit completely pointless.
Eufy installation manual is poor.. You mentioned so many things here it does not touch on, like when you said that it only needed to be plugged physically into router during setup and could then use WIFI later..

Eufy installation manual is poor.. You mentioned so many things here it does not touch on, like when you said that it only needed to be plugged physically into router during setup and could then use WIFI later..
Great help for chosing a doorbell!
I have the Eufy Battery Door Bell hard-wired and this last winter it would not work due to the -10 and temps at the time FYI.
What options are there to stick the wireless camera to the door panel? Since I'm in an apartment drilling screws in is probably not an option.
I have a ring 2. It sucks donkey nutz. I have never clearly understood another person when talking through the ring.
Too bad you blabbed on while pressing doorbell... I just wanted to hear it, not you....
LEYKIS 101 !!!!!
Good information. Do you know if the ring bell shows live footage or only when there is motion?
So can youndo a review on the arlo wireless I'm very iffy which system to get is either eufy or arlo can someone please help I need a good security system as well I'm a new sub on your channel 😊 thanks
Which version is this that has the screws to attach the cable? There are so many versions and amazon does not show the back of these bells. Anker should really add a number to distinctive the different versions.
Does it handled the same ring is whenever anyone is at front door? Like will it trigger on FireTV a video feed?
Hi, i would like to know if this or any other brand wireless that can be able to open door with electric lock automatically.actually i dont have way to add elctricity in the door now but I would like to know if there is a way to opn door automatically from the doorbell app
How easy is it to get the footage off of the locally stored hub? Like, if I want to go back and review something older not on the phone?
Is it a China owned company who makes it? Does it have 2-factor authentication?
Is Eufy privacy based? Will never get a ring device because of the privacy issues
Thanks for your review. I've been reviewing some YT videos on using this with Alexa. I can be done via Routines but the delay is a bit much. BTW, I have the same Bamboo desk from Jarvis. Absolutely love it.
I don't need the door bell function, does Eufy come as camera only?
It only has a built in 4g mmc storage? Is that enough in 2024?
Why can't they just put wireless charging so that you can connect a magnetic charger...
Great for privacy protection. RING is simply data mining.
i cant get it to work on home base 3 ,the consumer service chat bot thinks im trying to set up a vacuum cleaner it rely sucks.
