Very common building style since Neolithic times. And it just looks so good. But nearly no game ever uses it, which is really sad.

I built an arena around my gray dwarf spawner. It was expensive and somewhat end game way to do a spawner for materials as I then summon 2 melee only skeletons with the Dead Razer, and then I kick them into the pit with the gray dwarves. Sit at the edge of the arena, and watch them fight endlessly.
Build up my blood magic, and get endless wood and stone. All at the same time. Nice win/win for the skill building mage with a builder streak. :)

Standing and hanging Braziers do not take damage the way Hearths/campfires do. They can be damaged if GD attack them. They are not damaged from GD or players standing/walking on them. Standing Braziers can be burried so only the top is exposed and Brutes can not attack and are therefore the best choice. GD will spawn 5 times a minute. Drops will vary depending on the type of GD spawned. You can expect at least 5 stone/wood/resin/eyes per minute or at least 150 stone/wood/resin/eyes per 30 min AFK.

It seams to spawn a lot more 1 and 2 stars than usual. I have also had more raids on that location then I have experienced anywhere else this play though like I'm over some kind of threshold either because of time in game or proximity to Haldor. I know it's not suposed to work like that so I may just be getting unlucky with the RNG. I'll run some test after the base is better established and come back with some numbers if I'm able.

You just plant and harvest your own forest right by your base, so you never have to travel far to find wood. That way you can be doing other things while you gather wood. mhm im pretty sure that it never used to collapse, but you did infact leave the middle pillar of dirt in older designs, for the greydwarfs to spawn on. They spawned on the "sides" of that pillar. In this design, the greydwarfs spawn (mostly) on the sides of the walls of the hole. So its basically the same :)
So yes you COULD remove your pillar, but need to provide a new spawning space for the greydwarfs. I suppose you covered the area around the pillar with firepits or smth? they cannot spawn on those, since it obstructs the floor. just keep that in mind :) hope this helps or smth :D

Hey dude how should i build with stone if i dont have iron yet you use consoles commands to build that. why dont build the base with console commands? so i know its makes life easier but for new player not really helpfull. Your build style looks great! I love it. but if you want to play strait withaout console makes it realy hard after the first boss.

No. Spawner cap is 3. There is also MaxMobAmount parameter. That means spawner will spawn max 3 mobs, but you can see more because of other spawn sources in an area .

No shit... i would even pay for a Farmer who bring me what i want, till i move my ass in the forest and chop it by myself!
Or u do the Console FreeBuilding shit ;) (i really would do this only in SinglePlayer or if your mates are fine with this!)

nah, these greydwarf farms are a noob trap.
I have a several blackmetal boxes full of wood and its not something worth creating a greydwarf farm for, its a waste of TIME
To have an effective treefarm is incredibly easy you basically just need to find a flat bowlish plains area and plant a bunch of trees there, and if you ever run out of wood, go activate the Elder power, grab a crystal battleaxe, and you can cut down the whole area before the Elder wears off, and have more wood than you can even fit in your multiple black metal boxes
The greydwarf spawn are where they are, you can't move them, they only work when you are nearby, and you have to repair them. Just not worth it, total noob trap
