it will pop alot of flames with just decat and sc pipe but the popping will be harder without a tune. for this video i stepped up the fuel in the idle to increase popping :)
@@Edmullo yeah I was thinking the same thing. I’m looking at getting the same gpm2 but I don’t know what midpipe/cat delete would be compatible with the slip on so the mounts and fitting could line up. I think my best chance would be to get the m2 cat delete mid pipe and custom fab/ weld the rest like you said. Thank you for the reply!
I paid alot of money for the setup.. probably 1500+ for everything. The can cost me roughly 500$ and the pipes 365$.. Then PCV+Autotune+ecu flash+QS and a bit of tuning:) pipes: www.shop.mjsperformance.com/product.sc?productId=210&categoryId=54
No need for a power commander if you're just looking to upgrade the sound of your bike. Now if you're wanting to get the most power and performance out of your bike then yeah, you would want a power commander
My bike ran like shit without a map with this setup. I literally had to get a pc5 in order to ride it. Then i got autotune and ecu flash too...and a quickshifter....and bkmoto headlights... yes a fortune went into this bike
Almost same set up I have. Nice work sounds killer. All you have to do now is remove the pair valve system and throw on some block off plates.
Pair valve is removed and block off plates are added. For this video I upped the fuel in idle so it would backfire more.
will it pop flames with just a sc pipe and decat or dose it require a tune? love the sounds of these pipes too

***** oh cool thanks for the reply i just fitted on with a decat and cant wait to ride it now
2002?
Sounds great but would you know if a m4 mid pipe would work for the cat delete?
Yes midpipes is for the cat delete. But i think you have to weld them together. I dont have a welder so i got the whole mjs headers

how much have you paid and can you maybe post the link in the discription of the full system

its akra full system decat? I have a same r6 at yours but i dt know if i have a cat’ or not
Nah mate its sc-project pipe and MJS decat headers:)
How did you get rid of the CAT? is there aa kit to tell you where to remove it or cut it etc?
Take the cat off, cut it off near the headers, then either weld the link pipe to the headers. or use a pipe clamp.
+Alex Bridge sorry late reply, i bought a decat + pcv from mjsperformance when they had a sale :)
***** Oh sweet hope it all went well!
what is the function of the ring you put at the end of the pipe?
That is to control the back pressure. The idle gets more balanced if I use the ring. Also called db-killer since it cuts out some of the sound.
Thanks bro...
Do you need aan powercommander? Or can you run this headers + midpipe+ sc project m2 with the stock mapping?
No need for a power commander if you're just looking to upgrade the sound of your bike. Now if you're wanting to get the most power and performance out of your bike then yeah, you would want a power commander

Who the manufacturer of the header? And what year is the bike from?
mjsperformance header and bike is 2008 model
***** thanks
Did you get one with the map or none?
I had a flashed ecu from vcyclenut + pcv map with autotune! Spent a fortune on that bike..
Year of the r6?
Asphixya97 2008
what mapping did u use for the power commander?
I run akra full system map on dynojet website then i had my autotune fix any problems for me. Best thing would be let a mechanic tune it for you.
this is slip on or full system
full system
i see hehehe
Ed mullo as you have connected the silencer "SC PROJECT SLIP ON" to collectors not standard (decat)?
you made changes?
I bought a MJS performance decat full header without cat and honeycombs. So just straight pipe, and put on the end pipe sc-project gpm2 :)
Does this exhaust go to Yamaha R6 2006 600cc?
Yes, it will fit. You can find it on sc-project website.
Do you think I could do this setup on an 05 R6?
YosemiteSam30 its actually easier on 05 r6 since it does not have a cat! (catalyctic converter)
did you put power comander?
Yes, Powercommander + autotune, Vcyclenut ecu flash and a quick shifter :)
can you send me the map?
Dont do this in a garage, there is a lot of carbon monoxide !
Man...it was5 years ago. And its an open garage behind camera
Is this cylincer works on 70 cc bike
