The amount of cars on the road these days with pop and bang crackle tunes is ridiculous. Its getting to be just as bad with bikes. Its cool for 12 seconds and then super annoying.
I'm so glad I got my ECU flash by Moore Mafia my GSXR 750 is so smooth now and has a little pop to it also. Thanks guys for a great job. I highly recommend these guys
Pops and Bangs aside, the throttle input reductions they put on these bikes from the factory (not just yamaha but ALL bikes) is quite disgusting and borderline dangerous. IF you are inputting WOT at 100% twist on your throttle, the bike should also be doing WOT things at the throttle body... instead these factory EPA friendly tunes give you stuff like 60% or even less, at a given RPM. Im sure you have seen his other videos that mention this.
"Pops and Bangs" are generally the product of too much unburnt fuel being dumped by the engine that then combusts inside the exhaust due to heat and oxygen content. Tuning a bike specifically to achieve the pops and bangs is in fact stupid, however, when it is a by product of a well tuned machine running at the ragged edge, its absolutely badass..
Everything that you just said about what can go wrong when you don't tune a bike after getting a new exhuast is happening on my r1 even though that's how I got the bike. Glad that I am taking to you get it straightened out next week
@@jeffh278 yeah I’ve been riding for ten years never had a problem, just be aware of your surroundings and don’t ride like an idiot in traffic. I hate the whole pops and bangs thing, I just like a crisp clean sounding properly tuned bike.
Highly recommend for anyone, any bike. The factory EPA friendly tunes are complete garbage. Many of them even restrict it further then just the tune, such as the throttle input tuning they do, that im sure you have seen Chris talk about plenty.. WOT at 9k RPMS and its only giving you like 56% throttle at the throttle bodies/butterflies.... when you indeed have it twisted all the way at your wrist to 100% WOT (W ide O pen T hrottle for those not in the know)
5:40 this is actually a pretty common complaint about the stock r6 all the way from like 2003. You have to really wring the things neck to get it "awake". Push it into those high ass RPM's in order to really feel what the engine has. This is why a lot of people prefer the ninja 636 over the R6. Basically comes down to the factory tune. The 636 being a "cheater" bike and such, it is tuned for more low end torque then it is high end HP. Thus you have the number 1 favorite stunt bike in the world.
I prefer a r6 over a 636. Just means most people are more into torqish bikes than high rpm bikes. Race motorcycles always have been about hp on high rpm. How many midrange cycles have there been???? Also, a v2 duc or ktm can ben hellafast, but FOR ME nothing beats a 4cil inline screamer for feeling
my r6 dogs at about 10,000 rpm in 6th. feels like its itching to jump yet but by then im already at 120ish. but you can def feel it come alive at about 6-7k in the lower gears. top speed claims 160 but idk, i dont see it. id be more into the mid range bangin and poppin. as is mine bangs but this is extra. i hate the fuel cut on roll off. i knew the throttle dipped after 10k rpm, but this dude put it in perspective. good shit.
I track ride with mine, I love the pops and bangs especially when I'm going into the corners and like you said with just a little touch on the throttle it's singing

This bike felt crazy to me compared to my M1000RR and previous S1K's (liter) bikes I've owned! The way the rpm's rise was completely different and to be consistent I had to ride it really hard. It will make you drive it hard!
Quick question, can you tune for pops and bangs on the R6 with a power commander? A tuner told me it’s not possible and the pops and bangs aren’t good for the motor. Is there any truth to that? Thanks man. Love the vids 👍🏻

@Moore Mafia question: is the power commander necessary for the ECU tune? And if not which way is better having a power commander or not; and lastly is it effecting the bike reliability? Your response is highly appreciated 🙏🙏
